I have a sneaky suspicion the LF-A and HSV are not in the demo. It's probably just the Gamescom cars plus the new VW's, Izuzu, GT Citroen Race Car....

Yea, fat chance. They certainly would have been shown by now in some videos. Also, they likely would have been shown in one of the trailers if they were in this demo. I know we saw the LFA's exhaust tips, but not the whole car or the Honda at all. It would have been cool to see and hear those cars, but they will both be in the game so I guess we can wait another 45 days or so.

LFA is on the first part of the TGS video, the first 2 seconds, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEu1VJ7obbs&feature=channel, and it looks the same with this LFA rear picture

the one with triangular formation of its mufflers. Honda HSV? Well we are still hoping that it will be in the game.

Yeah, I don't think we're going to get any more revelations from TGS... hope I'm wrong but no real new news for two days...

I'm ready to grade it...

My reason is that it didn't give us anything the Gt community didn't expect with GT5. Weather and Time lapse is what was DEMANDED after GT4. Sure it looks extremely good but there has been no "wow, really? This is awesome"

My view anyhow...

Prediction: still two maybe three "wows" yet to be revealed/leaked before GT5 release

I have a sneaking suspicion...based on nothing other than my own thoughts...that there will be one last item revealed, either by accident or on purpose. Not sure what that item could be, could be a cool car, could be a sweet feature.

Just one last thing that PD will reveal...like an "oh yeah, and it will have this..." moment, just to get everyone's RPM's going until release (pun intended).

Well, it's still TGS day 4....so I am sure more interviews will surface and some gameplay videos.

I think in October they'll talk about customization and I still think there may be tiny surprises here and there.

If PD held the studio tours like they did other years then they should pop up soon.

Seriously?????

All I wanted was weather confirmation. We got it and it looks so much better than what I had imagined. A+. I'm also easy to please though. Come on November 2nd!

Yip, those of us who have been around when we thought Gran Turismo (no number) was revolutionary... have seen the impressive improvement in the series. I can't speak for all but weather and day/night transitions is, for me anyhow, an about time development in the series.

Yes weather is impressive, fanastically so, but I expected at least a 'surprise wow' outta TGS, something that no-one had on the radar, or thought was off it.

Maybe I'm not as easy to please.

Plus traditionally there has always been late surprises... where is it, or them...

I would say the painting, race mods, and body parts fit that description. 👍

Same exact thing for me. The screen shots of the new GT Auto have gotten me even more excited for this game. 👍

Sorry to play devils advocate here, you're celebrating, feature re-introduction into the series

Plus rim painting doesn't bring anything to the game.

Jay
It does for a lot of people, especially for photomode.

I agree. It's one of those little things that people can really take advantage of. In GT4 I remember liking rims with colors that just didn't match with body colors. Happened quite often.

Won't have to bother about it anymore.

Do you mean an unquestionably innovative new feature?

Yeah, I kinda know what you mean. I'm utterly impressed with finally getting to see the weather in action, and night racing with a pack on La Sarthe, both turning out better than I expected, and I'm definitely looking forward to playing now. I'm officially aboard the hype train. But I still haven't had one feature jump out at me as an utterly unique GT thing. I suppose maybe the sheer scale of the connectivity; we all expected online racing, as the game would be a failure without it in 2010, but I for one did not expect the wealth of features all tying into an internet connection. Even though some seem kind of redundant to me as a fairly new PS3 user (don't I have the PSN setup for messages to friends anyways?), it's cool I can do everything in the game.

Oh! I guess the idea of doing B-Spec from a browser is kinda neat. I see disadvantages with that though too; in the same way increased driving aids are robbing car enthusiasts of their fun in real life, someone could progress really quite far in GT5 without having to do much. It all depends on how far-reaching this new feature is, I guess. I might even use it occasionally, but as of right now, I don't see it likely.

That may be the case, but racing modification is my favorite feature in GT that has been gone for over 10 years, and finally, it's back. It was really disappointing for me not to see it in GT3 and GT4 since I do not like driving performance modded cars with stock appearances. Seeing it in GT5 really means a lot.

I don't know what exactly you're looking for but to me the "Wow!" part would come when I finally have the game in my (yet to be purchased) PS3, my hands on the (already purchased) G25 wheel and I'm driving either a Ferrari F40 or Honda NSX on the full Nordschleife. As long as the car feels as good as the 370Z felt in the GT Academy TT, that's more than enough.

I bet theres not a single person who isn't thrilled about racing mods being brought back.

A question thats bugging me is are they using the PP system from Prologue?

Does anyone feel like they took out the ability to upload replays to youtube in GT5? They haven't talked about it lately.

There really isn't much to talk about with it. You upload replays and that's it. The most recent time I saw it mentioned was in the E3 press release for GT5.

Doubt that would be removed as it was added to the PS3 a few updates ago, check your XMB the video section, upload should be near the top or the list under video section. Need no worry about that my friend, heck even Just Cause 2 can upload videos to the net, never tried it but it's actually built in to capture video of your exploits.

I'm more worried about the disappearance of rollovers.

With full damage a roll over constitutes complete damage to most moving parts. Wheels, shocks, springs, oil sump issues(wet sump) damage...car will always be movable and drivable but in absolutely no condition to complete the race. I just hope cars don't do that FM3 magical rollover mess, I have seen some things that makes me wonder do cars come with their shocks set to ridiculously high rebound levels.

Not absolutely sure that rollovers are a necessity at all in the game, but people moan about damage enough and well roll overs were included to add to it. Seriously though, since your cabin is indestructible per manufacturers rules(i will never understand this bs from them at all)...rollovers are a bit pointless since the damage only occurs to the lower half of the car and not the entire thing. Oh well can't have car manufacturers showing that their cars actually bend in real life should it flip, nope they have perfect passenger cabins

Hopefully we still have online penalize of misshifting, FM3 doesn't have this at all and guys who use clutch they abuse that to no end. Although there are times you can use no lift shift, it does create strain on the gear box. One thing I want to know, can you clutchless shift when you are at the right engine speed for a gear shift? Stock vehicles in real life can do this, not sure about race gear boxes, but I've seen it done and I won't attempt it on my brothers' car because Audi transmission cost a bundle to repair. Can anyone confirm this? I never seen it work in GT5P, then again I wasn't trying since every time i get in the car I just want to drive the heck out of it :D
