Why bother hating this? Some of you guys talk about this thing like it was made specifically for GT5 and that it's a must buy. Well, it isn't. Like the Wii, it's probably made to cater to the Karting fans. No duh, this peripheral won't work as well as our steering wheels or even DS3s. The only thing we should be concern about is Sony always involving PD with these casual gimmicks. Personally I don't mind, but things like this shouldn't be forced upon, and I know Kaz wouldn't bother with it if he had the choice.

Moving on.

Meh? It doesn't even look like a steering wheel from a kart. Looks more suitable for games involving planes.

You do? How is that then?

Perhaps you don't remember when Kaz was asked about the possibility of Sixaxis support in the prologue days of GT5?

True, but it doesn't look like a typical steering wheel either. And actually, there are karts that have rectangular steering wheel, including F1s if those count. K, maybe not as rectangular, but it's beside the point. When you're holding that thing in the air, there's no need for a circular handle. Just imagine it.

To those saying it doesn't look like a Steering Wheel have you not seen some of the Modern Racecar Wheels?

It's actually pretty close to some Modern Real Life Racecar Steering Wheels.

Yeah but they're all connected to steering columns.

I think this product is more for lbp karting rather than racing sims. If this was meant for gt5 it would of been introduced as sixaxis. I think I might stick with the dualshock controller.

Point Being..? Those real wheels are also all used in real cars in the real world & not just to move pixels on some display from your couch.
The point being that there is some sort of force feedback from the wheel. Not to mention how dedicated one must be to hold that thing up in the air for a 24 hour race.

I'm liking the idea of this and TT2.
So yes, I am hyped at the thought, now if only I knew they were making it now.

Given that it can function as a normal controller, and the fact that there's a Move controller, I'm going to predict that it costs well over $100. For that price, you can probably get a nice Logitech Driving Force GT, so why would anybody want this?
Well, I'm totally wrong. It costs $39.00 USD. If Tourist Trophy comes to the PS3, maybe I'll use this at the controller.

The product wasn't designed with GT5 in mind. Otherwise, they would've scrapped it before they even started. It's probably made for more arcady games like ModNations.

Exactly it's designed for driving/riding/flying games in general.

I'm kinda shocked though that it seems like the existence of this controller appears to be coming to a shock to some of y'all. I remember hearing about this last year sometime.

Same, but that would be the only reason I'd consider buying this thing..

This was made for motorstorm apocalypse guys..
The game go ta move update that for some reason "never" enabled move connectivity.. i mean cars and motorcycles?? Motorstorm? has both ;P

This would be absolutely terrible for gt5.

As I wrote in the news section, I am worried even at thinking this is compatible with Gt making me wonder of the driving system underpinning the game. And without considering you'll be likely to find quite a few people using this to drive during online sessions :ouch:

I dont' know how many people play Motorstorm right now as I don't know the specific numbers but I would say those playing Gt far outweigh those on Motorstorm, so I'm doubtful on wether this was really made with that game in mind.

I voted yes, I do believe its good in general but I don't think it will be any good for gt5 but modnation motorstorm nfs and such like it could be fun, I just pray they don't mess with gt5s physics to accommodate this move wheel thingy.

+1 Thats the main point with any 'wheel' couldn't think of anything worse it just ramps up the cheap 'toy' feel, just as much as that rubbish 'gun' move attachment! :ill:
