Try to remove cars out of the equation so you see it more clearly: every character has a huge obsession with speed and competition that ends up destroying their lives, some not figuratively speaking. Same happens in real life, with the addition of killing innocent people and spending years on jail.

Besides. I've we were even parked beside a club of NSX's beside the Wangan. I think one of those NSX's was the one that flew past us racing that GT-R. The rule is Too fast for the police = Being on your own. My uncles friend used to be a racer until he crashed his R32. He said that the police won't bother catching you but will try finding you later on. He was never caught even tough he was quite a high profile racer back then. His R32 had 570bhp. He says that he misses those days. And he states that its not a surprise that people still race there often. Some of his friends that were in a Wangan club with him are still racing out there.

Just saying. The Police always big themselves up.

What you wrote first was completely different. You said that if you were too fast it was completely legal, while now you acknowledge that it isn't legal (after I wrote it) and that they will catch you afterwards anyway. I added the fact there are speed cameras and a whole system behind it, with points, second chances and so on.

Racing on the Wangan is technically legal as if you are driving too fast, the police will not bother catching you and that the racer is then responsible for taking care their actions. I've admired this type of racing when I was very young. And I guess you could say that's why I love Japanese cars.

And he misses those days because it is not wild west anymore. The one that "big himself up" was your uncle's friend, not the police: if you haven't noticed he thrashed his car while speeding on the wangan and most probably got his licensed permanently revoked, plus somehow you think I represent the police or something. There's a reason why he doesn't do it anymore, which is either fear of crashing/death or potential jail time.

So yeah. Way too much mass media (movies, magazines, etc.) and stories but little thinking on what is presented to you. Of course at 16yo stylish cars going at 200mph on the freeway are stuff to dream about, but not all that glitters is gold. Proof of that is the very person you quoted.

edit: btw it's not like I'm against speed itself or even some speeding for that matter (I'd dare to say most cars enthusiast do it, me included). Thing is what you think is completely reckless and promote doing so with false facts.

I only wanna see the old 50's SLR. They already have my 56 Gullwing 300 SL so I am happy. I would like to see a larger AMG collection from maybe the late 90's on. I personally think that the 70's and 80's were a kind of dark time for the majority of car makers.

Honestly they've included one American sport in NASCAR, they can at least appease the youngsters who have pimped out rides and include drag racing.

Id love to see more super-cars. Maybe the new Pagani Huahahrhgharya or the Lamborghini Veneno. Or any of the Koeanseggheghhgh's like the Agera or the CCX. Or a Gumpert... or even the Ariel Atom! Maybe a dash of some Zenvo ST1... id love to put that around my personal track.

I mean, i love Honda... i guess... but i can go out and buy one right now... what i live this game for is being able to take a spin, a virtual spin at least, in a car that i will never conceivably see, let alone drive. Like a Bugatti Veyron or so on. Like a Bugatti Veyron or so on. So maybe less of the common everyday i can crash into one of these and not car cars, and more of the i don't have 1.5 million to drop on a new Pagani kind of cars...

Gran Turismo isn't just about supercars, it's also about driving everyday cars and trying to find the car you drive. But I would like the new Lamborghini, McLaren and Ferrari.
