I'm still not done with it. I can't be bothered to do the endurance events or finish the red bull x1 challenge.

I never finished the 24 hour or 9 hour races... but i finished every other event I think and seasonal too lol Although for GT6 simulated Endurance races, Bring it on! :D

Bathurst edition sounds like something that would be exclusive to Australia to me, kinda like the Senna edition for Brazil.

Just need something for us Europeans!!! :D

I'm starting to get a little bitter with all these special editions. When is Canada going to get a "Villeneuve Edition"??...Gilles that is...not Jacques:lol:

Haha, I do feel sorry for you Canadians sometimes, I feel like you get left out of alot of things :D

I've done Le Mans four times and Nurburgring three times. I REALLY like endurances. :gtpflag:

I'm basically the opposite of you too, I'm too lazy to complete them.
I bet endurance races are going to be interesting considering the new courses arriving to the game.

EDIT: Also, how come there's no special 'MURICAN edition for GT6 either!? T_T
You know, it could contain muscle cars & Nascars with special liveries or something.

I can handle 4 hours, but not any more than that :P ... and guess what, the Miata 4 hour race... 3 hours in I paused it to take a 5 minute break... when i came back I accidentally pressed exit...

I enjoy 40-50 minute long races though.

The longest I've ever done was 2 hours and that was on GT2 with the Rome Circuit & Laguna Seca endurance events.

Here's an overview of my time with the "full version" of GT6 at last week's Willow Springs event:

Nice write up, don't like the fact that the shadows have gone from one extreme to the other, but I think I'll live. Though the frame rate issue I find not as acceptable, and what you described as far as the AI still sounds like a group that will hold a line and not really be "AI", also seems like some seemed to stop and give up spots while others put up more of a challenge. This is indeed different than what we've been given but overall not as big of a leap as some hoped for. If a certain other game's responsive learning AI works, I'm sure people will want to know why PD was caught napping, but that issue is far away.

How fast were you going when you hit the wall at Mount Panorama? Also I noticed in the end you said there were slow load times, yet in the beginning you said going from screen to screen was fast and easy, could you clarify this?

For the sounds I feel maybe they just tweaked the current (GT5/GT6) sounds a bit and maybe that gave you a sensation of it being different, yet still in the realm of what is regular.

As for the physics could you expand, I'm glad to hear that you say they've changed but perhaps more depth.

Either way thanks Jordan for giving us insight, and doing a good job of informing us when it is coming closer to the release date.

Wow the damage looks better.I spotted a few standards in a picture, I was hoping he would talk about them. But since he didn't, i'm not sure if thats a bad thing or good thing.Great preview !
@LMSCorvetteGT2 He meant the loading time for a race was slow. But navigating through screens are fast and responsive. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the "AI" isn't AI. The AI in gt5 was great regarding actually being aware of you for the most part but incredibly slow.Seems like thats been fixed.

They were good at being aware of you, yes. However, they then slowed down and proceeded to let you pass on by when you got close to them. That was an issue for me.

Also the warning indicator is a wonderful touch and I'm glad PD brought this feature into the game, since we now see it used in Endurance Sports Car racing.

WOW! That was definitely a great write Jordan, thank you very much for sharing your impressions with us. :) After reading through the article, I'm even more hyped now! Just hearing the improvements and seeing the pictures makes me jump up and down inside. GT6 sounds to be even more incredible then before. I can feel GT5 will be boring and put away fast for sure.

Can't wait to see the videos. :D Oh yeah, I saw the standard cars too! O.O

The menu seen here reminds me of the Start menu on Windows 8. I like it.

Well I noticed one improvement with the standards in that picture, the team Oreca Viper had it's lights on in the day time on brands hatch, you couldn't turn the lights on and off on standards in gt5.
