You mentioned two multiplatform games that are being released on everything short of the Wii U. I'd like an example of 1st party games built with a specific system in mind like GT6 was, which would actually have something to do with your point.

Tornado and the rest: Consoles are not PCs. It's a different market altogether.

Interesting. Tell me more.

High level developers are doing it, not just considering it. Why is Gran Turismo not possible?

Who are these "high level" developers and how many of them develop games exclusively for the PS3 using a POWER platform and then wholly recompiling them to x86?

Once again, you're assuming it's an easy as a point and a click. I assure you it's not.

Crikey Fellas. This has gone way OT, and I'm partly to blame so sorry for that lol.

If only there was some good general news to discuss eh.

Yeah, the game's nearly here. Shouldn't PD be regularly drip-feeding us info by now, to stimulate the Hype-train?
You're right, it is really quiet for 50 days from release. This time before the GT5 release there were gameplay videos popping up everywhere, info was released every 2-3 days.

Maybe they are a little more careful since GT5 disappointed a lot of people, and they want to surprise us at launch with a lot of unannounced features?

If they had a lot of unannounced features ready to go, it would make more sense to get them out there to spark interest and as a way of saying, "Look, this isn't GT5, we are ready to go". The lack of info is disconcerting to say the least.

I recall prior to GT5 release, gameplay videos was being shown with no sound, dubbed with classical music.

By my guess they're about 2 weeks out from going to print, so I would expect the hype train to kick in to full steam around then.

Games usually go to print 3-4 weeks before release, meaning between 8-15 november.

As soon as it has gone to print they can release info on details that are unsure if they are finished before release (like new sounds, track editor details, etc.)

You're forgetting the whole PS4 thing, perhaps. Lots to do this year!

ENEM is a national exam to evaluate the overall conditions of our students.

The organization is just saying that they could exchange the tickets of the people who will make the test on the same weekend.

Who can not go to BGS because of the exam, could get new tickets to attend to BGS on monday and tuesday.

But the BGS is going to happen, no matter what. With lots of gnashing of teeth about the PS4 prices, off course. But there'll be the GT6's rigs that I'm so excited about.

Because, seriously Sony, GTFO.

Ahh I see. Guess I didn't to add that link after all. I look forward to BGS, hearing your news and impressions. :)

Why we haven't had any news on customization, AI, GT mode or the course maker? This game is supposed to come out in a little more than 40 days. It is a little worrying to say the least.:nervous:

maybe in SEMA

We already received information about the course builder and customization, though with GT mode we haven't as of now. SEMA may bring that area to light though I don't think it will be reveled due to the time that is left.

What information did we receive, I must have missed it? All I can remember is we're getting a new course maker, Ronda will be involved I think, but not likely at release because it won't be ready and it'll be really big. We have not one clue as to how it's actually going to work and most importantly, will we have much finer control over the course generation or will it be the random kind of thing we saw in GT5?

Same with customization. We saw one screenshot of some wings, another of some rims and that's it. In other words, diddly squat. Will the front aero be a part of customization? We we be able to change body panels? How many cars will RM? Do rim widths affect grip? If so, is it calculated in PP? If not, how do we control for this online? Etc. etc. etc.

Exactly, it is really unnerving buying a game you know almost nothing about, it is like giving them your money and hoping the games turns out okay.

There is a lot we don't know about GT6, but it is Gran Turismo and it will play pretty much like any other Gran Turismo. For me I like the idea of discovering the finer points of the game once I've put the disc in my PS3. We do know it will be an improvement of GT5 (not too difficult to be honest) and we also know it won't be a complete package straight out of the box - the difference this time is that we are expecting it - with GT5 it all came as a complete shock. Up to at least this point I don't think even PD know for sure exactly what will and won't be included on the disc come launch day. Maybe once it has gone to print they can say for sure what some more of the features are that will be implemented and what's still intended to come with updates.

It's Gran Turismo. The best selling game on PS3, you think that it's going to flop? No matter what it's going to sell

If PD had something to shout about then they would shout...er, or would they...?

Guess we will just have to wait and see. They seem more gaurded, more cautious this time around.
Hell we might even see the game in the same year it was officially announced!

Right on, Nato 👍

This could possibly be why all's quiet on the GT front; the push right now is on getting as much done before the gold date as possible, and then the marketing side of the equation can be balanced, since they'll have a known quantity. You can avoid GT5's over-promise/under-deliver problem if you promise nothing ;).

That's actually a smart way to do it. It's best for PD to stay quiet and finish whatever it is that needs finishing, instead of just saying "Oh we have this and that" as promised but isn't finished.

I'm actually liking this if I'm honest, because from GT5 WOW, that was awful. :)

Johnnypenso

The information that you shared is the information I was speaking about, just those little details. We really haven't received a lot of information for reasons unknown, though the info is limited. Normally we would have more detailed information about more than one aspect or area of a new release, but for some reason we haven't got a lot. The one area I'm looking forward to know about is the area of performance. Will the same common aspects carry over to GT6 from GT5 as done with GT5 Prologue to GT5.

The way GT5 is used as of now; for some the true aspect or essences performance is lost in my opinion, I know for me it has been lost. I understand everyone has their thoughts of what performance should be but as upcoming engineering student I see more.

I agree as well, a lot of things were promised for GT5 that weren't delivered for reasons or matters unknown. We should wait and see what is the once we load the software and judge from there. I hope the only items that carries over to GT6 from GT5 Prologue, GT5 are the cars, tracks everything else need to stay where it needs to as it should have been.

What?

Yes, What. There was so many things slated to come to GT5 but didn't due to matters unknown or to what people were asking at that time. All areas besides physics I'll wait to judge on because of what has happened in the pass with GT5. Items or code that was in GT5 Prologue carried over to GT5 that shouldn't have but did due to people complaining. I'm afraid that this will happen again, that the community will not allow the title to evolve as it should.
