It's first 'meaning' was to be the new Indycar that got ditched for the dallara DW12. Then it had nowhere to go so they applied and received the garage56 entry last year at LeMans.

It ran once at LeMans and dnf'ed. Then ran in the 'lmp' class at Petit LeMans the same year and was nowhere near lmp1 pace, just like this year in ALMS, if it even finishes:yuck:
What? With the one race that I saw, I thought there was a problem that kept it from staying in the race for a good spot, but ended up with a respectable place (at a fast pace.) I can't recall what series it was, but it happened when at practice it got crashed into by a Porsche (ewww).

Wasn't the DeltaWing meant to run with that sort of car? You know, half the weight and half the power of a regular race car but just as fast.

Well, more like supposed to run about with LMP2.

False. It raced "unclassified" last year. Only this year did it become a P1 car.

Funny how you don't mention its only reason for DNF at Le Mans, which was courtesy of a certain driver's lack of Spatial awareness ;)

Like what was said, it really is in it's 'own class' in no man's land. That was with the better Nissan engine. Theyre no longer associated with it and the car has been a relative failure. The point is, it's in no way close to FIA GT3 cars nor runs with them. The trailer with it and the Ford GT imo was just a 'highlight reel' to show off some new cars.
It got hit because Nakajima couldn't see it. The size and (lack of) color made it hard to spot for lots of the drivers. You didn't mention that, though.

That's it! I remember that.

Hardly worth noting since he was apparently the only driver that didn't "see it":sly:

I find hard to believe that the other hundreds of drivers managed to not make contact with it but only he did despite the many days of practice and qualifying leading up to the race.

Back on topic: Interesting that PD has gotten another swiss track. Wondering how big this is and how many configurations of it can be used?

I did not mention LMP1 did I? I mentioned GT CLASS!!!! :grumpy:

He wasn't the 'only one'. It was involved in at least one other incident. Drivers complained about it. Nakajima couldn't see it because the reasons I mentioned, plus his focus was on the lead of the biggest race of his career and the front fenders create somewhat of a blind spot for the lmp1 drivers in coupes. Oh and btw, Panoz raced 'unclassified' officially, but his own words were to enter it in "lmp1". Kinda shooting for the stars with that one. Reminds me of his Abruzzi GTE attempt

Your point is...? Delta never was intended for the "GT CLASS!!!!" :D

Back on topic folks.

I saw some video of it getting crashed by a Porsche. I think it was on Road Atlanta

Loving the delayed reaction to the landing through the tyre in the Alpine .gif. Systems! It's all about systems, and a lot of PD's latest work seems to reflect that, which is promising.

Seems like this is GT6 E3 gameplay, with an horrible 240p resolution... way too blury... It's 2013 what the ... was this recorded with?! :yuck:

"Your #1 source for everything video games"

And that channel gives us this crap

I don't even care about the driving, its the horrible quality of the video that's irritating.

But I will laugh at everyone that foolishly expects perfect driving at all times on a new game no one has touched

* horrible video *

Does this guy even know how to aply the brakes?

Or does he think he is playing Mario Cart?

@ Racecar, I don't expect perfect driving but come on, this is the other end of the spectrum. :P

To be fair it may be his first time with a wheel, it's really not easy to get everything co-ordinated correctly straight away.

Realistically, how many of those "People in the Industry" are sim racers? I'm willing to guess, not counting Jordan or anyone from GTP, maybe one
