GT7 Circuit Experience Overly Difficult....

The east one, with de impreza.
Good times in meri jajajajaja
Central anticlockwise? The "Oriental" ones are with the BMW, Central with SUBARU and "Meridional" with supra.

What helps me is using chase cam, to see better how close are the walls. Also TCS 0 with all 3 cars is almost mandatory to get good times.

I tried 1 lap at nurburgring with TCS 0 and bb -2, I improve 1,3s my gold time even with some errors, definetly easier now with the new physics.

Golded Maggiore, Dragon Trail Seaside, Tokyo East AC, Tokyo South CW, Blue Moon Infield, Goodwood and Alsace post update having struggled with them all before.

Nurburgring, gold on all sectors but need to find 1.5 seconds to hit gold. la Sarthe, struggling with the final sector, just can't seem to keep it consistent. Also struggling to hit the gold lap in Autopolis as well.

Almost there.

Honestly, I think this time has been impossible.... I just tested S5... and I'm now at 36,207... Still room to go faster by opting for the final chicanes... a 35,xxx BEFORE the patch... I think so for impossible. Since she is extremely fast even now.

Update: 35,xxx maybe with TCS1 a little bit faster.

I haven’t tried 1.13 yet.

As I said, it was and still is difficult to see how this was possible before the patch. Maybe you found a line that wasn't penalized or something... I can only ride the first 5 corners flat now... and at the exit of the 5th corner I'm only 310km/h on it... then the last 2 S .. I realize that there is still time here.. but before the patch.... well.. if you can prove it.. I apologize for my doubts.

I may have to review my desicion to boycott circuit experience, this was the one that I found impossible to do well at in the game pre-patch and I consider myself fairly decent at these.

Will pick a test track on this later and see how I get on.

Dirt tracks feel impossible for me, Colorado Springs especially. That ford just refuses to turn :ouch:.
Managed to gold most tarmac tracks without much trouble, apart from lacuna seca. Full lap just isn’t happening.. And willow spings, not even touched those.

No problem, I think the CSA helps a lot.

:scared: my god, you are flat out until the chicanes or what, and I don't even fathom how you take the first chicane, at that speed I would end up in the seats

The Viper was already well planted pre patch, it needs to be driven in quite a particular fashion, just so happened to suit me with the lift off oversteer. I should go back to it; I hope it‘s not been tamed too much.

See, I was having the opposite problem. There was no LTO or nice rotation happening. That is what I like to do, too... get that nice weight transfer forward for front grip during turn-in, and let the back rotate to point the car in the correct direction. If I had any brake applied during turning, it would just understeer for days. I had to completely slow down and as I started turning in let off the brake, hit the apex and begin rolling onto the power.

It's odd because I have a Gr4 Viper in my garage and swear I don't have those issues just driving it on 1P races. But for some reason, this lap was very tough. Of course you want a car that is completely balanced, but I'll take oversteer over understeer any day.

Still nearly impossible
Well, I ended up getting it... and by a bit. Before I was a country mile off, .600, and couldn't get closer. Although it did take a number of attempts to refamiliarize myself with the car/track, I was able to beat my PB and was "only" .200 off.

So I kept at it and a handful of attempts later, eventually got it with a 1:29.325 (gold is 1:29.600). Not sure if because the physics were Nerfed or I got better. Convincing myself of the latter, but probably the former. Give it a go again, I say.

So far I've had very good success chasing my own ghost, giving it a 0.5 to 2 second lead depending on the track and working on catching it. If it's too close it's just a nuisance.. and the distance makes it a worthwhile target... Every now and then I've found better/faster lines through hunting.

But the new update has made all that redundant, nothing is really difficult anymore as the cars feel like they have at least one class of tires better than before the update.
It would be pointless chasing my own ghost as I don't really know the racing lines of tracks so the demo ghost is a major aid for me. Yes you are spot on with the lead advice, thanks.

I sorta feel sad that things have become easier, I never even got round to doing the spa licence test or cataluna CE or deep forest and the audi. Was really looking forward to it with no aids too.

Well if the change equals more realistic then so be it.

The Ford Gt at Daytona is much easier to handle now. Before the update, I was a hot mess, and didn't even spend 20 minutes on it, before saying to heck with it. Tried it again tonight, and golded all of it in 65 miles.

The entrance to the bus stop is so hard to see, I switched to roof cam. Helped some, but I still had to use the numbered marker on the outside fence, to know when I need to brake.

But that's exactly the kind of thing that's the best way to orientate yourself in the race. On the one hand they are easy to see in traffic, on the other hand they don't change with anything. What else should you use as a guide in the race?

I completed the Catalunya CE for the first time ever last night and surprisingly got to the top of my friends list. Considering how much of a nightmare I heard the Lamborghini was here, I’m sure the physics update helped me out.

That's exactly how it looks like!!! It was made too easy... so the times would have to be adjusted!

I use a tree, the curbs or lamp posts in some tracks... Not every corner has the distance markers.

But indeed I completely lost a braking point at the Nurburgring when I couldn't see my tree at pitch black night race lol

Many years ago I made a chalk line on the courage curve... unfortunately I don't see it in the game, so I can only manage the curve at 240 -246 km/h.....:lol::lol::lol::lol::banghead:

But... that's what you're supposed to use haha. That's what they're there for. What do you usually use to know when to brake??

I know that's what normal people do. I'm weird I guess, when I can see the entrance to the turn, that's usually all I need.

Bumper to bumper, it can be hard to see the curve at times... especially when there are 2 vehicles next to each other in front of you.... I even use the displayed braking zones on new tracks/vehicle combinations... and based on that I search perfect reference points for me.
