They should just keep the exact format they have on GT Sport and add a road car tuning race for 4 races weekly in total,
at first I wasn't happy with tuning but I found a decent tune for the R32 and been having some good races as long as that VGT car isn't on the field (those should be banned). I need to grind some more booklets to get to the R34.

During my final race this morning I was trailing behind this driver in a TT, I thought I was coming in 3rd but I got a much better exit out the corner before the straight and passed him. Took a defensive line on the final hairpin and he sent it as I parked the GTR right on the apex... still trying to figure out what line he was taking thru that lol. That was fun... In GT Sport I would of been punted off into the grass.

polyphony just needs to keep the current format on GTS and add a Road Car tuning race. 4 races in total weekly. I hate the VGT car that is allowed in daily race b. Takes away from the experience but they’ll figure it out. It’s only week 1

Fellas, why is everyone making such a big deal about the tuning? The fine tuning won’t make much difference anymore, all you need is the parts list for the car and you’re good to go. Give the game a few weeks for everyone to get re used to tuning parts again, it’s not that hard. Tuning in GTS was so much worse, because it was all sliders, and nothing else. The tuning parts are kind of fun, plus you can now build the same car many different ways, turbo, or Supercharge, or NA, or whatever. Other than that’s it’s just set the gearbox to max out on the longest straight on the track, and you’re done. 👍
Apart from the fact that you can add parts to a car, spend a lot of time on qualifying, then enter a race (as I did today) and find you are 10 seconds slower than the polesitter! I never had such a big gap in GTS.

What I also saw was cars that had obviously been tuned for top speed, which the drivers then could not get around corners - some cars went past me multiple times, flashing a penalty time, but still managed to overcome it to get a good finishing spot way ahead of me!

I understand that it can be frustrating, but I’d be willing to be that in 6 months time from now, there will be very few who want to go back to the GTS ways. Hopefully I’m not wrong on that one lol. Just give it some time to settle in. 🍻

So today was a day off and I decided to give Race B another shot while trying to embrace tuning. I tried a bunch of cars from my garage and burnt through a lot of credits getting parts for them. I did eventually hit a good combo with a Ford Focus RS that seems to work for me. Couple of second places behind that silly vgt thing in B rated lobbies so I did get success eventually so I guess it can be done.

Thing is I am now pretty broke so if the race changes to something I don't have a car for or haven't already got parts that I can mess around with I am not going to be able to participate without grinding my eyes out which is not appealing to me and it's not something I recall needing to do in GTS. I just did had fun multiplayer racing and funded my car purchases through those races.

I realise that this is a growing pains problem that will lessen over time as I get cars / tunes for the various race combination. Still a growing pain is still a pain and it's something that could have been avoidable with a little bit of forethought.

Tldr: tuning isn't my favourite or fun but if I have to work with it, it's doable

Additional: Just to give some context checked my stats:
Credits spent on cars - 907, 300
Credits spent on tuning 2,727, 390

It's a bug, when you enter the replay you see a preview of the car, it's running 550bhp lol. Was reported in the bugs thread by one of the people in the top 10

150mph at the start line is what I've seen across a few cars now, biggest thing seems to be traction coming out of the corner before the back straight, hence why GTR and 911 seem to do pretty well.
Thanks for the info, was wondering if it was a bug! Guess I have to get the VGT car

I think it only affects qualifying, the person who found it and reported it said so at least. I wouldn't bother with the VGT as that is also bugged haha, the electric motors aren't included when the game is calculating max power, so it lets the VGT enter with almost 500bhp because it thinks it only has 240bhp (you can see this in replays). So I wouldn't bother buying it as it's expensive and will probably/hopefully be patched soon.

Again, this is due to a bug/exploit and is not indicative of what the experience of these kind of dailys are going to be like long term or even short if a patch comes out quickly. I'm going off my memory but I'm pretty sure the fastest legit time for race B was a 1:37 something. I'm a few seconds off that myself (using 911 (996) GT3 with upgraded engine and aero parts but completely stock suspension) which is pretty much where I would have been in GT Sport. The 911 GT3s are so good stock and I honestly think that they can compete with any of the tuned setups out there for this race.

Just watched Super GT's video on the Peugeot VGT and discovered that that hideous thing costs $1,000,000 credits. You're telling me people are spending a million credits just to pad their C-driver rating for the first week of Daily Races? Wow, I'm surprised they can even grip the wheel with those sweaty hands.

A big issue is that we had grown accustom to Sport mode being one way and to have it changed is a big shock to the system. It was a sit down behind the wheel, choose your favorite car from (usually) Group 3 or 4 and get on track. Adding tuning to the mix really changes the game up and it really isn't as much of a sit-down and play. I liked GT cause it allowed me to get some racing in during the week when I don't feel like going through the tolls of iracing.

I wish they'd create a separate online mode for tuning that is just world circuit events but allow you compete against others. That way the events will have strict rules regarding PP, car type etc., instead of just hp and weight.

My first post in 18 years lol.

It's lame but I'm using it too. No point losing to others when the option is available to everyone.

Hopefully next week's races don't have a gag car and everything is above board.

Welcome to GTPlanet! As you can see I've also been here quite a while lol. Hopefully this is the first of many posts talking about GT, or cars, or politics, or whatever you like.

Now go use a real car! I highly recommend the Audi R8.

So how will gt7 be with the online/multiplayer races? Will it be weekly like the previous game or will it be different? I'm asking before I buy it soon.

My opinion of the OP cars is I would prefer them to be nerfed but I will use them until they are. Kind of the same thing with the Skid Recovery Force setting in GT5 and 6 which PD did eventually get rid of. I'm not running my main account though so I will probably run mainly Mopars, uncommon vehicles and or stupid tunes such as jelly or wheelie builds.

Agreed. If everyone uses the hybrid, we'd have fun close racing. But totally understand that it's not even a real car and it sucks the fun out of the game. Guess you gotta choose a side.

Looking forward to C races and some group 3 fun, but until then, currently on 10 wins in a row in the hybrid.

Even other hybrid drivers do not seem to understand how to manage their battery.

If they bring back Gr3 races where you can do minor tuning to meet a certain pp limit, like say, 740pp, I'll settle for that. That would be a few minutes of work to tailor your preferred Gr3 car for the track and off you go to qualify and race.

Anybody else getting a black screen after sport races? Since the game came back online after update, I have gotten black screen after everybody finishes the race. Im not getting to see the screen where you see thecredits you won and miles driven and I have close game and reopen it.

Online races in GT7 seem to comprise of 50% (and that’s being generous) idiots with no idea about the purpose of online racing.

Overpowered cars driven by folk whose idea of throttle control is to stamp on it at the start then lift at the finish. Every vehicle in between is viewed as a target or a means to bounce around a corner.

Penalties are an utter joke. 5 second penalty for being punted. SR and DR seems to be disregarded By the majority with penalties accrued and served constantly.

There is no way to report anyone interfering with the race, even if someone up the line was interested.

GT Sport has seen some bad times in the past but never did I think it could be this bad.

I’m out until it’s fixed.

It should exist on anything Gr. 4 and up since those cars have it installed by default. If I remember correctly...
Kie25 is livestreaming GR3 BoP lobbies and just said he can‘t adjust BB because BoP removes the upgrade. I can’t say myself as even though I’ve been playing the game for what feels like an age I am yet to actually do a single race car menu book.

Just found out that BoP will mean no brake bias adjustment as you have to pay to access that option. It really isn’t looking good at all.
The couple of GR 3 cars I have came with a lot of parts already installed and I am pretty sure the break balance adjustment was one of them

Edit: just saw your other post I would hope that is a bug because if that is intended that is just stupid.

The news just keeps getting worse and worse.

Monday will be telling when we get to see what Race C ends up being. And probably the announcement of the Test Season.

I just asked for confirmation on the stream chat and apparently it is the case that BB is not available.

Edit: They think it’s setups being disabled that blocks BB. You could have BoP, no tuning but setups allowed and that should give access to BB.

I fully agree with the red
I get rammed by cheating babies with L500Rs , and I get a penalty for hitting the barrier.... wtf?

Do the daily races work for you? I wanted to take part in a Race B. After the warmup it was loading and loading and loading. After approximately six or seven minutes I closed GT 7.

Had this happen a few times prior to the update but seems to be a more frequent occurrence since. I have left it and as long as its not black screened it joins eventually even after 7 or 8 minutes which is frankly ridiculous. In one case only 3 cars remained to race just to add to the levels of ridiculous
