I am not justifying his actions, but you did hit him and 'push' him out of the way on the last corner. Personally, I like to take that corner pretty wide so I can late apex it and carry that much more speed onto the long straight. Some might think I missed my braking point but I am really trying to be able to hit the gas that much sooner.

Regardless, he acted like a child.

IMO, with people complaining about snap oversteer pre-1.13, one of PD's knee jerk reactions was to make the TC much stronger. Why have 5 different strength settings if even #1 neuters the car it hurts more than it helps?
Ok kool, i will watch for that on this race, i havent noticed alot of people doing it so that may be why i thought he missed the brake point, and i admit i did give him a lil tap accidentally but a "B" driver shouldnt be getting that upset to point you would take us both out of race over incidental hit, especially when i didnt affect his driving etc

Sadly I think we all know exactly which streamer this was as this is a constant refrain and common occurrence with them. Very fast person with very little racecraft who blames the majority of incidents on the other person not being aware of them. All while they refuse to use radar. Speed is not racecraft and you have to be aware of how your opponents are driving.

I find his streams and videos unwatchable. His attitude, general demeanor and the timbre of his voice induce a certain kind of loathing in me. And that’s before you analyze how poor his racing is.

I have raced against several streamers over the last couple of years in both Asia and NA regions. I find most of them are fine but they are all “generating content” and so your race experience is a very low priority.

2 massive exceptions to this are Tidgney and Womble. I have never seen either of these guys do anything remotely questionable and they are respectful even when it is to the detriment of their own race. I have watched Womble get big in my mirrors many times and he always waits until he can pass cleanly. It’s often entertaining to go back and watch his stream to see what he is saying as he catches and passes me. Usually it’s something along the lines of “He’s gone a bit deep there, thank you” in a thick Scottish accent.

I encourage people to check out their streams in preference to the ones that create conflict. You’ll learn a lot and get a better perspective on why it’s fun to race.

Anyone higher up the rankings not using the handbrake on the deep forest tight turn?

I'm a c driver, best time just over 1.35 and don't use it. As it's early hours in uk getting matched with a's, b's and a couple of c's.

That turn I'd carnage compared to usual c races as higher drives bomb in, then hit the hand brake...

Piloto those lap times are absolutely insane my goodness.

Finished the week with what I think was my first legit gt7 win. Usual room, a few A+, mostly A and a few B. Top 2 qualified near 1.5 seconds faster than me so I figured out of reach. 3rd place was only a tenth faster than me and we had raced many times in the past. I was 4th with 5th and 6th close then a gap.

I am all over p3 from thr get go, he makes a big mistake in the cutting on lap 2, i try to go around him but just nudge him, he runs up the kerb a bit as he hits the gas and spins.

Now I'm 3rd and p4 man is 1.5 to 2 seconds back, relentless, I can't break him. Suddenly I see P2 in the wall at the cutting, though he rejoins in p5 so I know he will be back. Then, P1 pits, nfi why but he does, had me cooked on pace but now he's like 9th.

So still cannot shake what is now p2, though he is now getting pestered by the recovering p2 from earlier. I rattle off 5 of 6 laps between a 2.04.1 and a 2.04.4, just on a roll, really hitting my marks and floating across the top. P3 never gets past p2 (amazingly) and I let up on the last lap for the win.

Sweaty palms stuff, had to really push, 2.04 flats are tough for me to do in race but needed them to keep the gap.

This was a "B" driver in C lobby, he said i hit him 1st even though i received no penalty but regardless, didnt deserve this as i had already gotten bombed when i was in 7th earlier, im not great driver yet & still learning how to handle wheel i just got, maybe thats why his sr was B as well, still though, he got mad because this "C" driver past him, now if im in the wrong in this video, please tell me as im always trying to learn how to drive better

There was definitely nothing malicious in your move there, but his line is the quickest way to take that corner but if you choose to do that then there’s a massive door being left open. If he was paying attention he would have easily got the switchback. This sort of contact is incredibly common usually because people just aren’t paying attention or deliberately trying to get people penalties. His retaliation was pathetic.

I never use the handbrake, I think I’ve got a 32.5 so far.

Edit: My FL so far.

I have been using Volkswagon since beginning of manufacturers series on gt7 and i will not use my beetle in that race because i dont like meta drivers, bet i wont see any of them driving it with me in manufacturers series, most cant handle the car and wreck but thrn again i like to use different non meta cars in races because that how i learn to drive better and a top 5 finish is even more sweeter when you are not in a meta car just to win
Manufactures last time out was WRXs. With the Gr4 car and Gr3 both been strong a lot picked that last time out. Not sure what the Gr4 car is for VW so could be why no one picks it.

So true about this. A great driver is a driver that can get the most out a car that is under performing. You can still be a great driver with the meta cars but half the tools are already given to you which makes it easier. With the non metas you need to learn where you can push the limits and extract the most out of both the car and the track.
Can’t beat that feeling of a decent result or win in a non meta

Right... Before 1.13 I really enjoyed SPA. I used to use the RCZ at some point to get a good position for the races...but ended up using the Tom's exclusively and worked my way up my time from the RCZ little by little, day by day. Finally, I almost reached my good RCZ time, only 0.3 seconds behind with the Tom's. That was much more valuable to me than using the RCZ like most others. I was also able to win a few races with the Tom's.

I've really enjoyed race A this week. It absolutely should be 2 or 3 more laps, minimum, but still a fun combo.

Definitely gonna be doing as many as i can later today and through the weekend. Hope to get to share the track with some of you fine gtp folks. I must say, i am still barely seeing any of the names i used to race with all the time on gtsport. I miss racing against names i know i can trust, or know not to.....

Happy friday everyone

The Scirocco is the gr4 car for Volkswagen and it only has bout 301 hp in bop races, but you are right and true with all you said sir, i have been using a variety of cars in this weeks races, used the wrx maybe 4 times and didnt like it much lol

I'm going to try that move in a few practice laps today to see if it helps but i am usually just trying to stay on racing line as much as possible, but when you are in a lobby of very aggressive drivers, its hard to get off line because they will push you off track if you do..i was a C/S driver put in alot of B/B lobbys for some reason yesterday and man, they are super aggressive, rude,no respect given towards you at all especially if you are lower dr

Sometimes the racing line is not always the fastest way round. I turned the line on other week for the first time as at Brands Hatch as I was struggling with the first corner. The line for me was in a strange place and with my driving style I couldn’t make it work.
What I would do is spend half hour with a car you are consistent with (even if it’s a slow car) and do 4/5 laps with the racing line on and set a bench mark and then turn the line off for the next 20/30 mins and just try a few lines. If you can learn a few different lines this will help you attack and defend too In races. Hope that helps 👍🏻

@Roggers @Sven Jurgens

My payout for a first place finish with CRB on Race C has been 96k every time I've managed it this week. Obviously I don't know my exact DR but I'm matching mostly with full-A grids.
Interesting? My race c win was on my 2nd account in the C/S league with CRB. Not won on my main account yet in B/S on race c so can’t compare.

I understand what you’re saying but this is exactly what you did to this guy. He was taking the racing line and you poked your nose inside and it cost you both a lot of time in the end. I’m not blaming you or saying you did anything wrong so please don’t take it that I am, it’s just a move that perhaps wasn’t the best decision in hindsight.

I get what you mean, it’s more a short term/pass now decision, then a long game, overall race time type decision. Sometimes it’s best not to make a pass, and work with the guy to catch the cars ahead, or wait for a better chance to pass when you won’t lose as much time doing so.

To be honest, i usually watch few of the top 10 videos, then try my own way as well to see which works best, and with this wheel G29, i found staying on that line within curve was best for me but i will try other lines or ways as well because in no way was i trying to hinder his or anyones progress if i see what they are doing and it would cause a wreck or slow people down, i usually move over if i may mistakes or i see someone trting to get back on track if they do

Yeah I find that too outside of my top tracks, i am just not able to run with guys i used to. It's the rear end and not being able to use TC because it is so savage. Guys who can get on the gas and not lose the back end with TC0 have a massive advantage vs GTS.

Im not sure yet what my line is through that corner as it one of those tricky corners that has a few like the last corner at Fuji.
My current line is similar to yours, and I drop down another gear mid corner to power out. If I go wide and turn in late I can’t get the power down quick enough.

Also the other issue is some people see a gap and think that’s the chance to jump in yet that’s the line they take.
Yes, I asked a few weeks ago how everybody got so fast!
I never had GTSport as when it was realised it was promoted as an online racing game and back then I didn’t care too much for online gaming. So I’m wondering if this the case with others?

Same here, i didnt do online with gt sport, but i do enjoy online & offline with gt7, and seeing all these guys doing manual with a wheel, paddle shifts, amaze me and i wonder how long yall been racing to be that good & fast on tracks

Thanks everyone for your honest feedback on my situation with that driver & others, thats all i asked for was honesty and yall delivered, i will be more careful in my lines and everyone here helped me realize that i did make an rookie mistake(i make them alot lol) but i am learning and while i do respect the other drivers, i may still mess up unintentionally, but like yall said, that mess up did not support the actions he took to punt me, thanks again, i appreciate the comments & critique of my driving on that curve

Just took down first win in Race B this week with fastest lap too 🎉🙂

Broken record here. But make the GT7 Daily Race change everyday, like at the beginning of GTS.

I think it would lessen the advantages of BOP and tuning. And I think more people would be willing to jumping in without worrying about days of practice to be competive. When tuning was on, people were spending the whole week looking for the right tune. Judging by this behaviour I think everyone would have more fun if they changed the races daily.

I was just thinking about this after a couple of hours this afternoon getting bored (frankly) of Bathurst. What if the combination stayed the same (to promote practice) but each day the Race Conditions change slightly? Different tyre wear and fuel rates would force you to think slightly differently each day, without compromising your hard-practiced track knowledge.
