Yes this or DBR9, only these and the Mustang, WRX and Beetle are worth using so far, other cars are too slow and will get bullied.JAG... Try it.
Yes. The Jag is a fun drive. I'm not quick, started 12th and 13th on the last 2 races, finished 6th and 5th respectively. The Jag is stable, so long as I don't just mash the throttle.JAG... Try it.
Have you guys tried the stang? It must be VERY fast on the straights because i missed apexes, slid it on exit etc and still got near a 48. Better drivers than me can make it work no?
Strategy an issue here I think, maybe a safe bet, with a stable rear end, will yield good finishing positions as others slide off the road. I am usually racing in the second split not the 1st.
This just goes to show how different driving styles suits one car better than others.I've been using the Beetle in race B (as it's the meta car I own) but gave a few others a go last night in qualifying to see what I'm missing, results below:
WRX - within a couple of laps beat my previous qualifying time. It's faster than the Beetle (and the others I've tried) but WAY less stable, I can see why people ahead keep crashing now!
Jag - horrendous understeer. I don't know how you guys are doing it, the thing doesn't turn!
GTR (modern one) - opposite, total oversteer. Could probably be quite fast if you control it but I doubt I'd last a race of pushing without going backwards at some point.
GTR (Pennzoil) - felt fast & enjoyable to drive, slow lap times though.
Lancer - thought this was going to be the one, drives a bit like the Beetle, sounds cool but I think it's lacking on the straights.
Would be nice if they could tweak the BoP's so we could use a variation of cars but at the moment I can't see past the WRX & Beetle!

You need to trust it on entry, absolutely CHUCK it in, it will stick.Beetle - think it’s horrible to drive and I can’t extract the time from the car. Last 5/6 Gr3 races I’ve tried the Beetle and I can’t get anywhere near my quickest lap.
Yeah it was nice to be able to track DR, which helped explain the mysteries of DR gains and losses. Not at all hahaha, there was a reason I specifically mentioned DR tracking (being able to see our stats through KudosPrime, or even the little bits we got offered in game) and lobbies, which sure, weren't perfect, but were decently functional.
Plenty of problems with the things you mentioned. Never disputed that.
But we have a penalty loop on every track, the pit lane. We don't need separate loops since cars don't get in each other's way in the pit in the game. If your penalty time exceeds let's say 10 seconds, you should get a mandatory pit drive through. You can choose to pit when entering and then you simply sit out the time after tires and fuel are done. If you select no change / no fuel, the game should calculate the speed to auto drive your car through the pit to come out at the other end with the penalty time added to your lap times. Based on your pace.Mentioned this before but the game should have a dedicated penalty zone off the racing line where cars must driver through to serve the penalty. Drive through penalty lane. Anyone that doesn’t stay within the penalty drive through lane gets another penalty. So basically they have an entry gate they need to drive through and and exit gate.
Moto GP have a penalty loop which would work well it think

Or just have it as a stop and hold for 5 seconds before starting the pit stop stuff, similar to how F1 serves the time penalty.Yeah it was nice to be able to track DR, which helped explain the mysteries of DR gains and losses.
I never found DR a good measure for matchmaking though. Too easily manipulated by cherry picking races and time to race. And also too easy to sand bag for easier victories.
Hence my long standing wishes to have SR be based on nr of incidents over time you're involved in and matchmaking to use race pace instead of DR. Race pace being based on your average lap times in a track combo, using your quali time or previous experience on that track to calculate a starting pace.

No need to add anything to the tracks, just a little bit of math to set the right auto-drive speed and a notification on screen to pit or get another 10 sec added. Time left over gets added to your finish time.
Have a go of the DBR9 GT1. I'm loving it for Monza this week, very quick on the straights and excellent on exit. I'm on a 49.6 at the moment and am not the fastest driver.Gave Monza a whirl last night, seems most cars are driveable on TC0. Got the Z4 to a 49.9, the beetle to a 49.7, WRX to a 49.7 and the big surprise was the Mustang, which felt absolute rubbish, came in at 49.3. Problem is, those cars are in reverse order re. the stability of the rear end, I don't think i can race the stang as i will bin it on exit I am sure.
Anything else I should be trying?
Don't bother using TC1, it's mind bendingly bad at Monza.
It's just that race A and B have the pit stop disabled and you always just drive through. (I wish that would change as well since the game still lets you start on wets or intermediates if the car was equipped with them prior lol)Or just have it as a stop and hold for 5 seconds before starting the pit stop stuff, similar to how F1 serves the time penalty.
@Pigems Here is some of that ghosting we were talking about on Monday.
I thought I would hit that BMW, so I slowed down way more than normal.
Maybe my below normal speed is what triggered the ghosting.
A/SInteresting, what was your SR at the time? 🤔 I haven’t seen any of that type of ghosting yet, only when cars go off track or spin out I think. My SR has stayed at S so far I believe, but the last 2 races last night had a “Naughty SR” room from GTS, not the 90-99 rooms. There were no A+‘a in those races.
I know a few of you last week mentioned they could hear the game pause for like a second and then hear crashing around you. Ive been having that issue tonight on Monza but I’m playing on PS4. I’ve not had this issue on PS5 though at Monza.
Also Manufacture and Nations Cup just been added
I had an even stranger glitch last night, when my PS5 went into screensaver/demo mode like it normally does, there race replays they normally show, had no cars in them. Just cameras following invisible races with no cars on tracks lol. Once I reset the PS it went back to normal, but I’d never seen that happen before. This is one on Tokyo, it also did one on Bathurst and Laguna Seca too though before I reset it. 😂

Maybe that is the invisible secret car from the bottom left of Kaz's tweet 😂
Try a B race in the Mustang. You'll have fun.
It seems to be the most powerful Gr.3 car.

PS5It might be the chicane glitch. In GT Sport cars kept ghosting on the final chicane at Sarthe as well. Indeed 'below normal speed' triggering the ghosting, yet the speed isn't set correctly. The car behind you still hits you though while you were ghosted, you weren't ghosted on his side.
@Pigems @sturk0167 what system are you playing on? I might give the Stang a try as well at Monza.
