Yellow flags infuriated me.
As you say 95% of the time the other cars don’t respect them and some how I end up been the only car who suffers by either been punted off or I pick up a penalty.
Would be better if a yellow flag is out all cars in the yellow flag zone default to a set speed.
I caught 3 cars in a row getting the yellow flag penalty (at 1:40)

It usually happens when 2 incidents overlap. A different incident triggers the penalties than the one you initially see a flag for. Somehow I got spared that particular penalty, collected all the other ones

I've had it before as well when a yellow is out and a car spun in front of me, it was a hairpin turn and I had enough time to consider just stopping entirely until the guy got going

Would have been worse than the penalty though, and of course he was ghosted as he spun so no need at all for the yellow to exist.

Anyone who is excited for Friendly Daily Races starting on Monday?!
My last Daily Race was somewhere around Mid 2018 I only did FIA since that Point.
As Long as Lobbies are in its current State, it‘ll be the only way for me to actually experience how Dailies feel at the Moment.
I don’t think much has changed, Humanity is Selfish and egoistic so I expect the worst but hope to be pleasantly taught the opposite.
Nah 😂 I’m a Realist I know what to expect but at least my DR won’t take a Hit.
To b honest this is what I expect

Will be fun though, I can’t take the current Dailies serious.
The Amount of Tryhards and self claimed WannaB Superstars has grown to a ridiculous Point.
Thesedays only Wins count, right?!
2nd place are the first losers 😅

And I thought we were Friends. Now you're just ignoring us. :P:lol:

Damn, now you got me😅
I completely forgot about this Series, although I didn’t but just couldn’t race you Chaps cause of the Time difference.
Well, might be fun though driving totally tired while trying to stay clean.
Wait, that‘d be the perfect excuse for reckless driving and punting all of you off Track 😂

Back in GT Sport the Europe TPC guys did some that started earlier. Maybe that will pick up again?

We do a Bonus race. Some are called Dirty Races. Way ahead of you.

On my 2nd account which is DR B and top 5 at Monza all 1.47.4 or lower with pole into the 46s. I think the only people playing the game online now are the hardcore with times like that. A+ is low 46s top 10. Which is why I’m on the alt!

I just moved up to A/S after doing half a dozen Monza races today. The last few races were B/S with a few A players, after beating a few in each race i moved up.

I stuck with my trusty F-Type that i've been using all week, the Top of B & bottom of A are mostly using the GR Supra now. I prefer the F-Type though, 2mph slower on the straight (with me driving it) but with better brakes.

If you’re EMEA I would have been in the same races as I’ve just hit A as well. Most my races were pretty solitary affairs in 2nd or 3rd. Once you get out of t1 the carnage behind usually leaves a bit of a gap. The top guy was finishing races in 9 minutes flat and I couldn’t keep up with that!

Did I just read that DR and SR won't be affected in sport mode as of May 30th
No, there will be separate races that won’t have an impact on DR or SR. We’re still unsure how the matchmaking will work and what the races will be. Hopefully they’ll add some variety but I’m waiting for them to be the exact same races as the dailies which would be utterly pointless but right on brand.

Yep, welcome to the Thunderdome

Edit:
I stand slightly corrected, like @NikNakTobasco said it‘ll be a separate set of Daily Races, Friendly Daily Races.
I assume there‘ll be definitely NOTHING “Friendly“ afterwards but hey, it should be good fun and a good test for Racecraft and Self Control 😅
I‘m really looking forward to this Experiment.
I hope PD ditches the whole DR/SR System in its current state and comes up with something different.
Let me dream, I’ll wake up soon enough…😅

I had the opportunity to race on two different nights this week and I always love when that happens because it seems like I’m usually able to improve my race pace after getting a good night’s rest and having another go later in the week. Decided to stick to Monza to avoid the chaos and dirty air at Autopolis.

Hit a pretty good Q lap for me, 1:47.15, and that was good enough for pole in my races but I felt I struggled a little with race pace on the first night, only hitting mid 1:48 a couple times. The next night it started to click a little more and although I was disappointed that I never nailed my lap enough for a 1:47 in the race, I’m still pretty happy with the 48.1 that I did get. Messed up the final corner and probably lost the tenth I needed for a 48.0 or maybe even a very high 47.

Made a couple 4K videos of my fastest Q lap as well as my fastest lap in-race. Posting below.

See ya next week 🍻

You're not alone. I'm terrible with race pace. It always takes me a few races to shake off the nerves. I'm always nervous the first race and gripping the wheel too tight. Have to remind myself to breath sometimes. 😆 I did 3 races in race B the other morning and my fastest race lap came on the final lap of the 3rd race. I was doing low 49's and high 48's until the last race where I was mid 48's before getting a 48.2 on the final lap.

Nice laps!! 🤙🤙

I'm still pretty sure they've tweaked SR, going into this weekend I was an S rated and I'm currently in B and none of the races I've had have been particularly dirty or have involved any major shunts, that is to say there's been a little bit of back and forth and the usual holding of breath at T1 Monza but nothing out of the ordinary for the way that I race that would put me back that far previously.

Anyone else been noticing the same since the update or has it just been a strange couple of days for me?

No complaining at all if they're looking to widen out the tiers and make SR actually matter I'm all for it, I don't expect to be an S as a B/C rated driver.

I’ll check later today my SR. But I’ve just logged on to the mypage via the website and it still says I’m S rated.

I can’t remember how long it took me but it was fairly quick for me to be rated as an S driver. I’m sure I was rated S within 10 races.
I hope they do adjust the SR as it seem anyone with a few clean races was able to get S rating and they are definitely some drivers who shouldn’t be S rated.

They’ve definitely done something. Clean race bonuses are harder to come by, it seems any contact at all will often void it. I’ve remained S the whole time but definitely been put down a SR split. It’d be nice if they came out and said what they’ve done. I’d totally be in favour of all contact resulting in no CRB

We must have been racing with the same group of people, i don't remember seeing either of your GT's in the races though. My best qualifying is a 48.1, so i was starting in 2nd-9th depending who else was in the race, mostly around 4th or 5th.

It was mostly very clean racing (around me at least), so it was a lot of fun :)

I'll find out today if i can even keep up with the A/S people.

Yep, definitely continuing today, no clean race bonus as yet and in the last race I had one small contact going through turn 1 Monza and then broke into space for the rest of the race, so that must have been what voided it and when I say small it was the lightest of touches as I was really paying attention going in.

Very interesting! I'm of the opinion that a lot of even good racers shouldn't be in S rating, and not for anything malicious in their racing, just it should be incredibly hard to attain such a level for safety. It should really be there for the cleanest and most precise drivers, with the rest being placed in tiers accordingly so if there's work going into getting there, I'm very happy to see it.

Definitely. I want to see them trial proper contact damage as well as that’ll will massively deter any move that could end in contact. The game has so much potential to push the boundaries of console racing. Bit of a frustrating situation we’re in at the moment.

@Mercia just logged on and still SR S. Not sure why yours has changed? Maybe your a dirty driver 🤣 I’ll see what happens to it over the course of next week as ive not done any daily’s since you mentioned it.

Just jumped in to the Toyota on Monza and I can see that it is a quick car and handling is better but my best time is a similar time to my Mustang lap 1.49.2. Maybe with more practice I could get a 1.48 but will have to tackle that another day. F1 Monaco takes over my day today.

Also I feel a bit foolish. Have a Singapore account so logged on at 11am to compete in the next round of the Manufacture Cup only to see the race is in 4 days time 🤣🤣

I really hope for a Nordschleife Daily next week.I still have a blast watching the N24 currently,it was such a great event.

PD failed already (well…again?:D) to not deliver an N24 endurance race (like the one in Spa) with the latest update, right on time with the live event. It would have been SO obvious a good idea (and on EVERY single car at N24is a big GT sticker) but…
