Where is the info about non dr-sr this week? Where does it say?

I found this

Sucks in my opinion as I think I was on the verge of an A rating. Can't say for sure, but won 5 races on Race C last week against A and A+ drivers and always placed top 5. Wish GT Blade or Kudos worked in GT7

If you look in the image at the top of the page, above race A it shows the DR and SR logos and says 'no update'. Also shows this in the race rules. Races B and C still affect DR/SR as normal.

Just had a few runs through race A - not as dirty as I thought it would be. Plenty of opportunity for bump drafting, makes for a reasonably interesting race. The Ford is definitely the meta, but with a decent driver behind you could probably win in something less.

Ah, that's not quite so bad. Just won an A race thanks to a fellow Brit bumping me along - I owe him a huge favour next time

I'm still a bit baffled at my DR rating coming from GT Sport. I thought it was supposed to carry over to GT7 and you'd start with what you had in GT Sport. Well, my DR was at C in Sport. But in 7, it's at D. And that was before I even ran a race. And the C in Sport was a mid C, not a low C.

Anyway.....it is what it is.

The driver rankings from GTS were set a ~ good month before the GT7 release. This means that if you then had a lower rating, then this rating was also transferred. If you didn't already have a rating in GTS at this point, then you had to start with the base value.

Another “hey that’s a neat idea / lord that is horrible execution” situation.

I’m sure that the free daily race is fun, but I wonder how bad things must be going to cannibalize one of the real ones. They must really be hurting for active players.

I know there are people who, god bless them, run Race A all week every week. I know this forum is mostly race b and c, but they just lopped off another chunk of their daily players. I used to joke before Race A’s in GTS that it felt like Cheers… RIP.

edit: ran a couple, they were fine. be advised, however: the TCS reset to 3 in between my races. My assist settings are unchanged… it just decided that I should start the race on 3 instead of 0. i've heard it said that it only occurs when you don't run a warm-up but in GT7 i've had it happen then, too.

Just my opinion..

If they really wanted to do something good at PD and were interested in doing something for the players, then there would be at least 8 races every week. Something for every vehicle class and or with and without BoP. Just based on the players who choose race x or y, you can see very well which races are in demand and which are not. Instead, you are downright restricted and sometimes have to decide between unloved classes or routes... or not drive at all. But I think many of us would rather drive an unloved race than not drive at all... However, this distorts the impression that PD is making the right decisions.

So,no Nordschleife….meh

But i do like the selection so far.Definitely going for C but even A could be fun as there‘s no chance for dive bombing. And i like the croatia tracks, maybe i‘ll try this as well.

Unbelievable that they didn't do an N24 race in Sport mode this week or last! And wasn't it the 50th anniversary of something there this last week?

They've not use the Nordshleife in Sport mode at all yet in GT7.

I did two of the no DR and SR races so far and with it just being race a of the weekly races, it is not much different from a normal weekly race. I do recommend qualifying since 7 laps isn't enough to go to the front unless you are really lucky. Also there are still penalties but luckily minor contact is fine so the races are mildly entertaining if you think of it like NASCAR. Draft gives about a 6 mph boost if connected for the whole lap and I think it's like NASCAR with no going below the double yellow line unless forced to, but like in NASCAR it seems a bit shady how this rule is enforced.
Overall, this idea is better than nothing but Quick Matches in GT6 were better than this in every way. I will do some more races, but I really hope they make tuning allowed and an option to invite people at least until / if online lobbies are fixed.
There's always a few that drive like this :

I think the biggest problem is that too many people do NOT like/can't do the Nordschleife. And it can be really hard to drive well and fair on the Nordschleife, especially with unsafe drivers.

Yes, at the weekend there was the 50th anniversary of the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring. I was able to follow around 14-16 of the 24h live and enjoyed it, except for the "failures" of the BMW, which brought tears to my eyes, and the accident with the Grello was also very tragic.

I've already written it several times.. if it were up to me, the Nordschleife /24h track would be included as a "bonus race" every week ;D!

They have used the 24H circuit in Sport Mode recently.

Manufacturers Cup, Season 1, Round 1, this last Friday.

Here are some scenes from my entry in the 19:00 EMEA slot (full write-up is available here).

I feel there is PP limited event races missing to use your own cars instead of a set range of cars.
Yes, some of them would be better than others, but this is also already the case with BoP enabled anyway, so not actually different.

Tried to go out for some Race C action. Decided to go goofy and run the R92. Managing to wrestle it around the infield ok, but man, I'm losing so much time in the bus stop chicane. Gonna need to learn that one properly this week.

The racing is actually a mixed bag. The cars are so hard to control that I've been taken out ok the first lap twice by someone braking way too late for one of the hairpins. Otherwise the races get pretty spread out quickly. Still not sure why the seems to be dirty air understeer in the slow corners, but PD doing PD things I guess.

Might have to try some of the other cars later. My 1:31.9 won't hold up all week.

We had those races at the start of GT7, they were fun & varied but lot's of people complained about tuning & only wanted BoP races so now we're stuck with boring BoP.

I don't even really have a big problem with BoP (apart from the non-existent BB rule which is extremely annoying). I only have a problem with the lack of balancing.. see this weekend at the 24h race on the Nürburgring, the race management changed the BoP for some vehicles within a few hours and imposed more additional weight on them or reduced their performance in order to make the field even more balanced make... Putting something like that into a Game can't really be that difficult. And since we also have to pay money for online use, we can expect a functioning system where the BoP's are rotated regularly and carefully.

Although I don't want to complain too much.. the beetle seems to be somewhat disempowered, which in any case makes me happy.

All the tracks in this game and we get 2/3 races on the same track 🙄, and no DR gains for Race A, poop week for dailies this week.
Aye, genuinely just don't see myself playing this week.

Race C is a write-off for me because anything faster than Gr.2 makes my eyeballs fall out, Race A is essentially a waste of time (if not fun for the first couple races) - which just leaves race B, which, whilst good, is not something that I can play repeatedly for 7 days in a row.

I'm really not sure what PDs decisions are trying to achieve. The game is lacking variety as it is and they just give us less. It's alien behaviour.

Yeah, Race A in road cars is usually my favourite race, but with nothing to gain, it’s just time wasted this week.

Yeah I don't actually mind BoP for race cars in theory, it's just not very well balanced at the moment so has been boring with the same few cars being viable.

A daily race with modded road cars would allow us to use all those other cars we've bought/collected, having a PP limit so one person has all the straight line speed vs someone else with soft tyres & handling seems like what would make online racing fun (at least as an option).

Just make custom gearboxes add 100PP (or whatever) to the car but the gears selected taken out of the PP calc & it would be incredibly varied & fun!

I dont think this is even necessary. The way you are opting for power vs other aspects, here you are making a choice between topspeed and acceleration or finding some magic values that bring the better of both worlds.
