Well .. what is and must be spent here for MTX is now really manageable. I've been playing a mobile game for the past few years at a very challenging level...you can't imagine how much money people spend on something like this...just on a stupid mobile game. And you have to invest EVERY month to be able to keep up.

My experiences of the last few days... in the A drivers' classification, the races are harder and much tighter, but at least so far in the B races much cleaner... there are usually only very light touches, if at all, but no dive bombs... but. .who leaves a door open to a player directly behind you... you have to live with that as it's being exploited.

Here if you want to see it.. one of my most interesting/exciting/beautiful races from today.

Honestly, that's not what I experienced this week - at least in a not too small number of races. There the difference has been: leave the door open, you get hit from the side. Go defensive with a tight line, you get rear-ended. Try to get past another driver after a good corner exit, you get pushed into the grass.

Happy days.

What driver rating do you have? And what platform are you playing on? What is your Q time and where are you starting?

My B races earlier in the week as a B rider with a mid 42 time were also significantly harder/rougher.

Playing around with the TT and even though I'm about 0.7 slower than my time with the GTR, i prefer it for the actual races as it's more predictable to handle and better around the 2 chicanes in Sectors 2 and 3.

Good fun!

3 race Bs. Started 4th with a 1.41.450. Matchmaking was a struggle with A+ through B’s for the first two but might be because of GTWS on at the same time.
Every time the top 2 would try and ram each other and one would indeed be off. The classic push to pass at the quick lefts by seemingly everyone are attempted every time by the cars in front on each other; or the cars behind on me. It’s a solid move as you can run the outside car off the track so you don’t have to worry about your own line being off.

A couple of podiums and a 10th due to being punted, he got a 5 second penalty for his trouble so I caught up and after some back and forth filth (I was stone dead last at that point so might as well give it back) he tried to brake check me and ended up spinning out and rage quit. Probably lost DR across the 3 races due to the shoddy matchmaking so called it a day after that.

I really hope they bring back penalties to what they were. Even clean drivers are giving it back and developing bad habits.

Yes to both. I finally got my SR back to S, but to do so I stepped out of everyones way and lost quite some positions from start to finish. But even then there were incidents like that: took the outside line through the hairpin to let a driver (Alfa Romeo, of course) pass who had a good run on me out of the first chicane. He punted me into the drivers door anyway...

Probably just a coincidence but the 155 drivers have been absolutely diabolical in the races I’ve run.
As to not name names, by any chance is any of them running an black livery? And any of them with a German flag? 3 races in a row and both of them extremely unsportsmanlike but managed to avoid them by braking early and moving aside at the end of the fast chicane in sector 2 and watch them both fly into the shadow realm 🤣😎

Ran a B race just now. I've been using the Silvia spec-R Aero Touring car because I like how easy it is to drive on the edge. It's definitely not the fastest for that race, but I'd been having fun with it. Until a couple minutes ago.

I got spun coming up to the final corner on the final lap. I hadn't interacted with anyone and had been in last for about 98% of the lap. I only got in front of this person due to their own mistake of running a bit off track and going slow enough for me to catch and pass them (I'd passed another driver due to them serving a penalty). I didn't hit them, I didn't dive bomb them, I didn't cut them off, I didn't move in front of them or even defend any of the other corners. I left them plenty of room on all subsequent corners after the pass. Yet they felt the need to hit me and spin me on the final corner just so they wouldn't finish last. They got a penalty for it, but it didn't matter. It also allowed the other car to easily pass me (don't blame them, they weren't involved in any of it and anyone other driver would do the exact same thing). The one who hit me just continued on like it never happened. His 1 second penalty wasn't even enough for him to drop 1 position as he was far enough ahead of the car that had previously been behind me.

I'd just gotten my DR back up to B, then this happens. 😐

Thats what happened to me all week in race B, dropped me down alot due to the dirtiness of the drivers in them

The other 2 races I had in B were good. No penalties, no issues with other drivers, clean races all around (even got the clean race award on them). I moved up a few spots in each one and did OK. But this one? I saved the replay and I wasn't the only one he did that to. There were 2 others he spun like that at different points in the race and on the track. The thing is, he finished in 12th, just 2 places ahead of last (me). He started higher than that.

Thats prob why he was all mad, because he fell down to back, im trying to not get upset at races like that but its hard and takes my fun away from just racing because of idiots like we are dealing with in that race

Looking forward to new set of races tomorrow.

Must have spent over 10 hours on dragon trail last week, don't mind race b thus week, but doesn't quite have same draw to me. Found myself working through licenses, single player mode more. As mentioned before, probably a good part of that is due to idiots have more of free reign due to lenient penalties... lends itself to more frustration and less enjoyment.

Hopefully won't be the case from tomorrow, as can see myself moving away from sports mode, after really enjoying it initially.

It seems to depend on Race B because it can spread out pretty quickly at times. If everyone is running at around their qualifying order then it's a pretty dry 5 laps to the finish without much battling but all it seems to take is one guy trying something silly or making a mistake and it can collect 3 or 4 cars given the nature of the course, with only really one line around.

Yeah you're right. Had a couple of racers yesterday that were pretty much a procession. Probably as starting in top 3 after being briefly relegated to C.

Themn once up to B and starting around 9th, more likely to get involved with tussles.

Some of it is mind boggling, had 1 trying to go alongside/overtake on that chicane at bottom of tge straight/hill. Clearly going to end with someone leaving the track.

So my opinion and assumption about it... it's not up to the car, it's up to the drivers, but the Alfa in particular enables such actions very "well". My impression, the Alfa has more downforce than e.g. The WRX not only makes it stronger in many corners compared to the WRX, no, even worse, it benefits massively from the slipstream. It can then drive significantly faster than the WRX, so it arrives at the corner with more speed and can perform a little better there. But in 1 to 1 on the straight without a slipstream, the Alfa loses. Some Alfa drivers think they're a lot quicker than the WRX guys because they're a little quicker in corners and corner exits. That's probably where this behavior comes from, but it's clear... some are just real A-holes. However, the drivers are always astounding: they can overtake constantly and exclusively through physical contact and if you overtake them a short time later, they whine and insult you after the race.

I've tried 6 Gr 4's for this one so far and the Alfa is the only one I was able to jump onto an WRX from the start and pass clean before turn 1. Incredibly fast in the slipstream.

In qualifying though I was doing identical times to the WRX (not that I'm a great standard of 1 lap speed but it is what it is)

Exactly. If an Alfa is behind me at the start, I'm like "uh-oh, that means trouble in the first turn, or at least in the first chicane".

I can't believe that I'm complaining about Alfas so much. I drive one in real life.😇

If they drop the power slightly on all the AWD cars in BOP to make the RWD cars more competitive, we would see much more variety in the races. It's nearly always WRX,GTR,155 and some Audi FF cars (only since they appeared in the top 10..). I've only seen 1 other 458 in a race this week.

I've managed to stay in A/S all week only using the 458 in race B. I find it much more enjoyable to drive even if i have to put more effort in to stay with the AWD people.

Here's a typical race in the 458 if i don't bin it or get punted off. I did bump a WRX slightly at the hairpin, but everyone was fine even 3 wide coming out of the corner, haha.

There are alternatives, but they are more difficult to drive.. or... it's quicker to make a mistake that costs A LOT OF TIME... I've already tested 7 other cars today.. some are ok... but 3 of them are very very interesting vehicles and could really spread panic in the race with enough practice... The AM = nice and fast and great brakes as well as good handling, but FR is therefore at a disadvantage when accelerating out of the narrow 180 degrees... The McLaren = most brutal brakes I have know in Gr4 incredibly calm IF driven correctly.. great tracktion.. but can also be bitchy. and the Bugatti... = what power. The part requires a firearms license... He oversteers almost like an FR but also moves forward well.. However, I haven't found a line to get him fast and well to get the 2 narrow 180 degrees.

In the end I would say the AM can keep up well after 5 laps I pushed it down to 1.42.437.... the McL pulls off every Alfa.. but is definitely difficult to handle on contact.. therefore dangerous to drive. .but can probably slow down the entire other field in almost every corner. And the Bugatti is the sledgehammer if SR is not that important to you..

Update next Car..And clearly an insider tip for all those who drive with MT.. unfortunately I can't, so I'm wasting time unnecessarily. The Peugeot RCZ... great/interesting handling... and can be really good... really fast... Unfortunately with AG you simply lose speed at exactly the wrong moments, as it's on the exit of at least 2 but mostly 3 corners not shifting up when he has to... he only shifts when the car is more stabilized.. you lose very important tenths of a second. I'm quite sure.. an MT driver gets the RCZ quite quickly to a 1.41.xxx

Update 2:

For comparison, I took out my "darling" the M4...

In the first run I rode it 5 laps with AG... and I really pushed myself. But .. he is useless with AG as he is.

In the second run, again 5 rounds, I switched to MT, which is extremely difficult and unusual for me with a gamepad. As you can see, there is a clear difference... I also trust the M4 with a 1.41.xx if it is driven well... but unfortunately I can't.

I did a 41.8 with the Hyundai in quali, but it's an absolute dog in the race and bounces back and forth through the corners.

Current highest quali time is a 41.4 with the Alfa for comparison.

As a result, nothing special. Started towards the back of the field and finished 2 places above. But considering I had to deal with shoves and all sorts of things, I'm happy with my last Daily B of the week 🙂

Here's to hoping tomorrow's selection will be better and more fun!

Did 5 hours worth of Race B's and got my A+ rating back. I know this get's said all the time but a good quali time that puts you near the front helps enormously

Im prob going to not qualy for 1st day of new races so i can get my B back, lost high b because every race i started in top 5 or higher, i got booted or some crazy drivers shenanigans to drop me to back of pack almost except for a few races when i actually finished well, won nations race & was 1st or 2nd in my dailys today, so almost there, just need a lil bump tomorrow
