Dipping out of RACE A for now it's just the same A+ guy running the glitched Corvette over and over. I wouldn't mind so much but I managed to get the trusty Mach I into a couple of would-have-been pole positions and likely wins if it wasn't for this guy padding his stats.
It's like racing against people running dragsters in a race! They cause havoc in the corners, and then just roar away on the straights, leaving the 'real' cars in their smoke.....

Same A+ guy still running Race A over and over with the Corvette, in an otherwise B lobby how is he managing that? There's really no A or A+ players playing this race today?
I did a couple of races the other day and found a similar issue. Same person, same rocket ship car (Atenza) that looked as if they were farming wins to boost there win stat. Was it some from Finland or Sweden?
What the winnings for Daily Race A? I guess it’s an easy way to earn coins

I think I know who you’re talking about. Should just be a participation issue. I’ll hop in for some races and get lapped.

Edit: which console is it you’re on? Is it the dude on top of page 205 here?

Yeah the same guy mate, dear me. I looked at his numbers they're just insane, I don't know how you could see value in that or feel like you earned it.

Spanish guy, as noted above, has hundreds of race wins and poles and fast laps. All worthless IMO.

Excuse my poor editing work.

He's probably between 80 and 89 SR and gets added as room filler for the left over spots in the bottom 90 to 99 SR room. It's a 'feature' of matchmaking since GT Sport started. Any left over spots in the last (lowest) DR room of a higher SR range get filled with the highest DR players of the next lower SR range. Matchmaking groups people by 10 SR at a time and then sorts them on DR.

Anyone else going for it? Improved by another 0.2 seconds today and down to 1:21:6 and in top 3.5% 🙂🎉

I just had a quick look at his stream. He is a quicker* driver than me, but my race times short shifting in the 911 are quicker than his. A lot of those streamers assume they know the best strat/car combo and it becomes a self-reinforcing circle of ignorance. They all persisted in the BRZ at Suzuka when it was nowhere near META.

The likely candidates for competitive no stop racing at NGP are the 911 (the only one I've tried in-race), Jag, RCF and AMG. There could be others, but these are the ones I'd try first. To be honest, the fuel is less of an issue than the tyres by the end. The cars are very slippery on the last lap.

Personal thought here
I think we're missing the point of last week's Daily C race there try to teach strategy just like when you first buy the ga.e and have to get the licenses teach us to drive these cars. the daily in mu opinion was trying to teach that yes you can pit and yes you can do a no stopper it up to your strategy which one you do

I'm A/S and was going to run @MOPARbarrett5 's Corvette tune today but screwed up and added rigidity which ruined it. Now I'm tired and have spent a lotta credits so I'm done for the day :guilty:

I have a slightly different take on these races. I think they are trying to set the multipliers to where it negates the clear meta status of the WRX and Supra. In that sense, it has worked but it means the races themselves become more about tyre and fuel management than they are about racing. I'd love to see the BoP tweaked and then multipliers which make a couple of different strategies viable. If the fuel or tyres had been one or two clicks higher this week, a no stop in the 911 would have been about the same as a one stop.

The upcoming Gr 2 race could have been interesting in terms of tyre wear, but it has a mandatory stop, so only one viable strat.

I've done over 70 races in the Nur GP and racked up around 50-60 victories with my 911 in Asia Top spilt lobbies. There are usually 2~7 A+ players with rest of the pack being A ranked, since most of the top players are stayed out of these brutal dailies now.

My best race time achieved is 19:32.7 which I think is strong enough, but find it really exhausting trying to nail every corner without understeering.

The fastest finish time I've ever seen is 19-27 and 19:29 both are BRZ GT300 which I really don't understand how they can pull up with those lap times.

Overall it was a good week that saved me from last week's Watkins nightmare (lack of race pace, too many spins...etc.) which gained me around 18K DR and so glad to be back to 70K club.

About the new daily races. I haven't decided which I prefer Since I haven't really got a chance to properly learn how to drive at Deep Forest, maybe I will take on the Gr.2 race to get more experience...

See you on the track!

Hey man, good to see you here. We have raced lots of times over the past few weeks. I think maybe only 3 or 4 times this week at NGP for a couple of wins each, but a few at WG last week. You have some seriously good pace.

I did a couple of final runs around the Nurb last night and it was a terrible mistake. The top split lobbies were full of pushing, punting idiots who were inevitably either pitting or burning through tyres after bumping their way through half the field. Here's hoping the new combo weeds them out again.

Good to see you here, too!

Yeah, I think I know who you're mentioning.
The worst thing is that he has some serious one-lap speed, which enable him to destroy everyone 's race within 3 sec. range from him. Even his fellow Japanese driver stood out to say that he should just race normally, since he has that speed. But bruh... I think that's just a waste of time. And what I am really worrying is that such kind of idiots will make more and more people choose to stay away from SPORT mode. that's definitely not a good thing.

I've heard that CLK has some serious power advantage in Deep forest, let's see how things going!

19:32 is a good time!
I once managed a 19:26 but only because I was under pressure for the majority of the race, so I couldn't afford to slack. Other than that I always did 28-29 times. The BRZ requires a lot of fuel saving, but it's very well balanced and will therefore save tires much better than the Porsche or Beetle.

When I first started on Monday/Tuesday, I didn't get below 19:40. I never managed a .56 lap time, only .57. I then went into Time Trial and did a lot of laps there, so I lost over a second there.
And all of a sudden that time gain was also visible during races with most of my laps in the .56 range. I don't think there's a single thing, but practice helped getting the lines and braking points good a lot more consistently.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Not sure what they were thinking with Gr. 3 in Race A. Curious to see how the North/South America lobbies fill out. I'm guessing the usual Race A folks will gravitate towards Race B.

No point in Gr. 3 for me if it doesn't count for DR, and am garbage with Gr. 2... so Race B it is.

I like the races this week. I dont have much experience on these circuits but i am eager to watch how real people (and not the ai) approach them.

Interlagos Gr.4 maybe gave me too much DR (with new account within 15 races from DR:E/SR:B to DR:B/SR:S), so i will hold back a bit and start slowly watching other drivers find their lines from the back.

I dont care if the races give any rating. Since the new account i dont feel pressured to do this or that, online like offline.

Yeah that’s an odd choice for Race A… longer than Race B too?

I think I like the “tuned PP” Race A concept, as long as they get rid of any tuning glitches.

I’m in Race B, it’s all WRX’s and GTR’s eyeroll

Not done Race C yet but am I right in thinking the tyre wear is quite high and softs don’t last more than half the race?

Yes. Softs are very second hand after 7 laps. Tyre management is important. I don’t see a hard/soft strat being viable in higher lobbies though.

Only tried Race C so far. Mostly racing against the AMG, which makes sense as it's very fast on the straights. Nice to be racing some new cars and Deep Forest is a fave of mine.

I'd like to try a stopping strategy that puts me out of sync with most of the other drivers. That way I can avoid the ram-a-thon. It's a very quick pit-stop and personally, I don't think I'd be able to stand a chance without a tyre change.

Race A. This is a competitive mode. I don't think there is a place for free-for-all zero SR impact racing in Sport mode. It made sense when they first introduced it as the race featured bumper-drafting and felt a little experimental. But having it there week-in. week-out I just don't get. This is what general multiplayer is for.

By the way: only 6 out of my 18 online races are counted as "free of error or clean" (i dont know what it is called in english, i mean the first point of the sport statistics). I find that a bit harsh as i always try to race clean and my only penalties up until now are for leaving the track a bit. How do other have so many "clean" races?
