does race C have random wheater this week? or no rain?
They can’t because they can’t have static weather in qualy and dynamic in race.
Genuinely don’t see what the issue is with having static weather in the pre race quali and then dynamic weather in the race?
You don’t see proper motorsport suspend a session because the weather didn’t match the quali situation (Oh hang on… didn’t F1 do that in Monaco this year 🤔)

What is stopping PD from using dynamic weather apart from this stupid quali thing? Has to be a reason.

I think the pre race quali time trial thing is broken anyway. The fact you use say a Corvette to set a fast lap round a track but then use a BRZ because it’s better at fuel saving on a high fuel track, it’s just stupid. Plus you can do lap after lap with perfect tyre and fuel conditions too gives false sense of reality when you actually go to race

First race on the ring, ugh the Lexus feels sluggish in GT7. No chance as 3 A+ are in the room with Turismo-Lester on pole. Lot of GT-Rs. The race started not too bad, just got rammed once in lap one and made up a few positions. Yet then I blindly followed the N24 layout and drove straight into the wall at the end of lap one. Engine damage, crawling for 30 sec, back to last  I finished 10th in the end, started 12th.

Funny how this track brings all the old familiar people out which I haven't seen for months. (On PS4 pro today)

Anyway, tire wear has no effect, it's day time and dry, fuel is just a weight burden, just got to remember to turn right at the end of lap 1

On the Nurb the turn that scares me the most is the last one going towards the start/finish line. I am so used to running the N24 layout I am afraid I'll miss it, and/or I'll bin it as it's the only turn on the track I am not familiar with. Thanks for reinforcing my concerns.

Seems like the GTR is slowly making it's way to the META this week. Ugh.

Seems like it, I hate that car. The Lexus is my favorite and it feels neutered with GT7 BoP.

Second race a Brazilian A+ driver in a GT-R rammed me off to pass. Had to get back to the front quick I guess. I caught back up with him later and showed him my opinion of his driving style. He fell back again as others were doing the same lol. The GT-R was the go to car for the dirtiest drivers in GT Sport :/

If we can condense into 1 turn that section of the Nordschleife between the big paved hairpin and the final right hander onto the main straight, for whatever reason my brain just cannot latch onto anything in that section to memorize, no matter how many times I've been round it. I just end up approaching every turn as if it's the first time, too tentative, and it loses me a lot of seconds going through there.

The rest of the circuit I could give a good go of knowing off by heart, but that section just terrorizes me

Me too :embarrassed:

I almost posted the same thing yesterday, after working on the Circuit Experience.
I decided not too, because I figured I was alone and would just get laughed at because I've driven that track about a thousand times.
There are just too many of those right-handers that look the same.

I can do pretty well on other parts of the track, but in past races, that section after the carousel is where people just run me over.
No amount of repetition has seemed to help. :dunce:

I just had a few races in the Nordschleife. I now know that PD doesnt know a thing about racing. The bop setup for the m4 is a desaster. And the problem is not that they made it slower than the street legal version, and heavier too. No. Its the camber and spring setting. The car now handles like a BMW van. The thing has more understeer than a FF car.

My goodness me, I really cant believe how amateurish this has been done.

When I saw that its Nordschleife this week, I was psyched. I know that track pretty well. But now.. Its no fun at all.

Not my Best Time ever.. BUT with M4 and me as noob MT Driver.

That's a good lap. How's the M4 on the striaghts? That would be my concern with it. Looks like you were doing 245kph = 152mph whereas the GTR is like 161mph (~258kph). I hate giving away so much time for nothing. But, regardless, a 7:08 is good so maybe/hopefully it makes up that time elsewhere.

I did a no-Q run on Race C in the Swift. Started 13/finished 11. Got dusted on the straights by GT-Rs. Surprised I finished in time.

Very clean grid though. Almost every car that went off, took their time carefully getting back on the track. It was nice to see. The back of the field was all, "no, you go ahead". Fun 1st try.

Top speed on the Dötinger Höhe is about the same as WRX, if I saw it correctly about 1-2 km/h slower than the GT-R, whereby the exit at the gallows head is very important... and my exit was more likely to say the least not so good.
I think the M4 is very good when switched like this, but I wouldn't find much more than 4 seconds with it. So I don't know if I should stay with him.

Race B…. Qualifying is key In B rank lobbies.
Done 3 races so far, 2 were just idiots crashing into each other, and last one I finished P3.
Had poor quali times which put me P8-P12 and in the first two races I couldn’t avoid the crashfest that was happening infront of me or behind. So many people breaking way too late or sideswiping cars down the straights. Was just crazy. I then spent 15mins doing laps and got a decent lap. P5 starting for my final race. Get past the first 2 corners and I can see on the mini map at top the cars behind me were at destruction derby again. Managed to make two overtakes for P3.

If you can avoid the carnage at the start it’s a good race. Plus I find it quite a challenging track. Corner exits are key on them straights.

Glad I'm not alone, been 20 years on this track!

I have learned the first left hander is flat, if that helps

I thought I knew Sardegna, but Race B with BoP is making it feel completely different now. Can somebody please tell me how to get through that uphill S curve just before the last turn?! I'm hitting walls, snap oversteering, and all sorts of craziness that I never experienced in the WTC800 event. Nothing I do short of standing on the brakes before going into the S is working!

And thanks, PD, for starting the quali laps so close to the final turn that I have to start with a brake stand just to avoid plowing into the wall!

Not sure I like this week to be honest :(!

Always nice to be a cameo in some videos of the big GT guys, even if I'm only a little name in the top left :embarrassed:

But today.............was a special day  Because.................

A+ :gtpflag: I thought I would never get A+ ever again 😭 And I have to thank this race for :D

PD shows not to have fantasy in the choice of daily tracks. Sardenia track A is almost one week yes and one week not, this week this track is on GT sport and GT7. The guys have a lot of Group 1 cars, a lot of fast cars but every week they only allow Gr. 3 and Gr.4. Why? Why don't they launch daily events with fast cars? What's their problem to do that?

I get the complaints usually, but we literally had Gr.2 last week, GT Sport isn't GT7 so Sardegna is fresh air to the game, and we haven't had the Nordschleife in forever (if at all in GT7?)

This is a good week by PD standards.

Did a cruise quali lap for 7:25.xxx with my WRX. I love the nurburg and I love this car. I will try and increase my speed but I think my overinflated A DR is going to come back to a low B/high C again this week. The Green Hell is a humbler.

Regarding race etiquette, people have generally been clean. I have one guy trying to swerve away his draft on the final straight but other than that people have been pretty respectful so far with letting fast drivers through. One second place and one third place finish so far with clean races both times.

Can't help you with the line to use, I'm very slow. But I certainly agree with you that the BoP makes the cars so much more difficult/less enjoyable to drive!
The Evo is great fun in single player then you go to use it in Sport & it's an understeery slow dog!
Would be interesting to know which is the target car they are pinning everything back to, just to see what the standard is.

I usually start coasting just before the right hander, then tap on the brakes and coast again as close to the guardrails on the left as possible, not going full throttle again before the car is lined up for the straight.

But what do I know... I'm the epitome of mediocrity 🤣... I'm sure the real racers here have better advice.

And about the starting point I would have posted the same. The guys at PD seem to have a sneaky sense of humor...

I finally figured it out, and it's just as you say. I have no idea how it works in traffic, though, as I've done two races so far and been punted off the track both times and finishing last or near last. "B" lobby my @$$!!! I guess I won't have to worry about being a B driver for much longer with these results . . .

Mixed feelings about race B this week.
Firstly as @Bullwinkle mentioned, one of the worst auto drive starts to a lap where half the time you drive into a wall unless you do an immediate emergency stop.
I love the track but the broken BOP means a bad lap in the supra is still better than a good lap in anything else. And the supra is a real dog to drive. Doesn’t suit the track at all with the understeer. And it means there’s lots of accidents and people going off track.
Regardless, I had some good races including one I’ve linked to below where I’m chasing down ScottieSnr for the victory with some last corner action, GTarc in p3 so you know someone is getting punted!

Hahahahaha I thought that move might've ended up in the video! I had a massive sneeze brewing that entire straight and it came right at the corner and I just hit the brakes out of panic expecting to just drive into the wall, you can see my car jolt to the side as well lmfao
Hahahaha ok that explains it a bit more I was so confused as I wasn't expecting it :D!
