something tells me i am going to be in the doghouse soon lolI should have done that as my purchase of a DD Pro and GTOmega titan was inevitable but I went via the G29 anyway š

I have T300 + TLCM pedals in the past with 30inch wheel, believe still the best price to value package, swap later to DD pro 8nm with LC pedals + 30inch GT3 wheel (28inch original ok, but i prefer 30inch), feedback force on DD pro with 8nm is quite obvious different to T300, however pedals TLCM better vs Fanatec at least for me. with T300 i have only one issue, if feedback force set to max after some long racing you feel that wheel become lighter, believe it is safety features adjust feedback to lower value to avoid it to have overheated or what so ever. Otherwise T300 and DD pro good wheels and it is all about the budget availableI did some browsing of other threads on here and couldn't really find what I was looking for if you kind people wouldnt mind pointing me in the right direction? I was looking for more wheel based content, where to start, what brands to look for, how long it takes to adjust from controller to wheel etc etc..
Pls share on ACC, will be very interesting to learn, your opinion vs GT7, thanksAh so you can race in Race B in a B rank lobby. Turns out you just need to be paired with clean racers.
Just done a quick race now, and set a 1.42.1 thinking this would get me top halfā¦. Wrong P9. Instantly thought thatās it race done and over even before I got to turn 1. Anyway Lap 1 went by with no issues. Lap 2 a few car ahead made a mistake (T1 going wide on the gravel and spinning and another into the S) and I made a pass on the start finish. Ran P4 for the rest of the race but had a Supra behind me and I managed to defend at the right corners to keep them behind me. Great race, loved it.
On a side noteā¦. Anyone here play ACC on PS5? Just bought it today the Day One edition for Ā£25 on Amazon uk. Just got to wait for the disc to turn up tomorrow
Single player is great but I'm pretty much past the point in life where I'm okay racing against AI.On a side noteā¦. Anyone here play ACC on PS5? Just bought it today the Day One edition for Ā£25 on Amazon uk. Just got to wait for the disc to turn up tomorrow
Yes will feedback my thoughts.Pls share on ACC, will be very interesting to learn, your opinion vs GT7, thanks
I love single player games. Did a 60min custom Le Mans last night in GT3 cars and I loved it. Chilled out racing, tried a few different camera views and car settings. Was great.Single player is great but I'm pretty much past the point in life where I'm okay racing against AI.
Online is, as noted above, a ghost town mostly which is a shame because everything is there for a good time, except players.
It's also a bit confusing at times as race will end and then you're immediately in qualy for a different one or you start from the pit lane and the game hasn't told you why etc. so it's not the most pick up and play experience.
Don't know about Kie but Rory plays on PC I think? Definitely where the community is for the game.Rory live streams the game a fair bit now so could be some more interest from those viewers and apparently Kie is also streaming ACC this week.
Time to get a ps5 lol. You wonāt have to worry about him.Another day of lunchbreak racing...
Two more Races B, which seems to suit me well. First race I start in P2 again, and finish in P2 after getting overtaken first, and then the new P2 spins out and I get the position back. Nothing to see here.
But the second race, oh boy...
Seems like my DR has come close to A again, and in the next race there are some A/B drivers among all us B/S drivers. Great. And one of them is...
Whoever watches GT7 YT videos knows who that guy is. For me it was the first encounter in a race. And he lived up to his reputation...
First, he spammed the chat with some prefabricated nonsense. In the race, he starts P3, I'm in P5. So maybe I can avoid him?
Nope. Lap 1, after three turns, he already has the first incident with another driver, both go off track, and I get P3. But now this guy is right behind me, in a Supra, and he is quick. On the next main straight he comes close in the slipstream and does what he seems do do all the time: Approaching T1, instead of cleanly overtaking me, he swipes the inside rear end of my car to try spinning me around. I manage to hold the car on track, but my breaking grip is gone and I slide into P2 who is entering the corner and take him out subsequently. Sorry. I've got P2 now, but he is still behind me, and I'm not wanting to wait for the next dirty attack. So I step of the throttle and let him pass, several other cars pass me, too, and I'm P6. My concentration has gone, I miss a braking point, shoot another guy off the track (2 sec. penalty, deservedly so), wait for him to let him pass again, and finish P10. Race ruined completely.
At least I might have lost some DR points again, so that I will not meet this a......e in the next races again. The matchmaking is seriously flawed, though. So far all races B with exclusively B/S drivers I participated in were clean. I watched the replay: it was the A/B drivers that caused the trouble. It's like sending wolves into a herd of sheep...š«£
Haad my first full try and was doing alright before a Supra made a mistake in front of me. Had enough time to get back on track but still slow so I went to pass and he just shoved me off into the grass and kept going.Did some Nurb on my B account yesterday. What an absolute ****show. I was starting from the back and was always hit of smashed into by someone going off and coming back on right into my door, like within the first 60 seconds. I'm going to have to set a quali lap to avoid the riff-raff. Will likely avoid this one on the primary account, but I've only got one afternoon into trying it.
Admittedly, I am having a hard time with these Gr4 cars (at least with BoP). The understeer is insane. Really wish C was in the Gr3 cars as they drive so much better, IMO. Anyway, I digress. I think I'll keep at it in the B account and hopefully get used to it. Been using the Viper and might try the Jag (which I've not seen anyone use so maybe it's no good).
It feels different than GTS to me, specifically the church corner left start of sector 2, and the quick left before the last turn. I feel clumsy and slow in a way I didnt in GTS when it felt smooth and quick., probably due to the god awful to drive SupraWas looking forward to these races but a bit underwhelmed tbh.
Race B in mixed A/B DR, S/A SR lobbies. Ok if youāre lucky enough to avoid the punting, but like Seaside last week thereās corners where youāre completely at the mercy of anyone behind. Without proper contact penalties itās pretty demotivating. Also suspect many, many people use this as their main grind as itās the easiest/ most consistent of the Big Four, so they have an advantage over those of us who drive Tokyo or Le Mans more. That means many people in these lobbies can drive this track well without (m)any mistakes so itās hard to make up places cleanly. Done five or six races, starting mid pack, finishing top five every time if not punted or swiped (ie two times out of five!) Not a great experience, but maybe I should put more effort into qually...
Race B, everyone a bit frantic at the start, can make places in first two or three minutes just by driving calmly and staying on track. I always seem to make a minor error or two in the last third of the circuit though, even doing qually laps, donāt think Iāve had a clean one yet. Again, I get the feeling some people love this track and pound around it timetrialling different cars, think even I did it for a while back in GTS, though I seem to have forgotten the final third since then (despite doing the CE, it just doesnāt seem to stick). For those fortunate people, again, weāre just there to make up the numbers. I donāt see myself getting even a lucky win as the field spreads by the end of L1 and itās just a time trial for L2. Two races so far, made three places in one, but still finished only P6 or so, then started P6 or 7 but got distracted by a driver ahead going off and coming back on messily (tbf they didnāt hit me so it was my fault) and went into the sand myself. Ended three places down, so another āraceā that feels a bit meh...
Think I might spend a few hours just doing the qually timetrial thing to see if I can start closer to the front.
May I suggest the Playseat Challenge? https://www.playseatstore.de/playseat-challenge.htmlsomething tells me i am going to be in the doghouse soon lol
Yep. Was really looking forward to the Ring this week, but feel a little let down. I a hoping starting a little further up will help.Haad my first full try and was doing alright before a Supra made a mistake in front of me. The ring is more fun to drive than it is to race in my experience.
Yeah sorry, I think I confused you there maybe, I messed up that post completely, first para is Sardegna race, last para is all about Race C at Nurb, not still Race B. Canāt edit it now as itās had replies, so making me look idiotic, if not schizophrenic...It feels different than GTS to me, specifically the church corner left start of sector 2, and the quick left before the last turn. You guys always on about understeer etc. You need to adjust your driving for these cars, square up the corner a bit more and stop trying to carry so much mid corner speed and focus on exit. In saying that, you're a full 1.5 seconds faster than me so i'll shut up. I guess my point is, i don't find the supra bad to drive at all.It feels different than GTS to me, specifically the church corner left start of sector 2, and the quick left before the last turn. I feel clumsy and slow in a way I didnt in GTS when it felt smooth and quick., probably due to the god awful to drive Supra
Trak Racer TR80, Fanatec and '11 Mustang bucket FTW. Very happy with this setup. Check the Sim Hardware forum here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/sim-racing-hardware.163/ for lots of good info.Ive already went off the deep end and have decided that if I do decide to build a rig i might just get a trakracer rig
I think āLunchbreak Racingā is a great team name! You need to make a livery for your cars!Another day of lunchbreak racing...

After I saw you quali time, I wanted to try that car. Which means I had to buy it. It drives very nicely, with some potential. On the first and only flying lap with it, I had a 1:41:3, which is only 4 tenth slower than my personal best (with the Jag). I'll give it some more laps to see what it can do (it was too expensive not to use it...š)I've been practicing for race B for quite a while now. I specifically did NOT start in the Supra but in the Ford GT. Still riding AT I had quite a bit to do, eventually I managed a 1.40.455.. more is possible.. but getting it in a lap is tough. In principle, MT can do more, but I can't do a clean lap with it.
I love the idea. The work I would have to do for that... maybe not so much.š But my son is quite creative and good at stuff like that. Maybe I'll give him an order...šI think āLunchbreak Racingā is a great team name! You need to make a livery for your cars!
