Someone somewhere posted a spreadsheet with the recent changes in BOP. The Supra is still waaay above the rest in power/weight ratio. This shouldn't be so hard to figure out. The BOP settings are a conscious decision, so...
Do you happen to know about when that sheet was posted? Because me Beetle was nerfed couple updates ago, and the scirocco has forever been at 301hp, while supra was beasted ridiculously..i do run other cars but its hard to compete against a supra lobby and i refuse to be a meta only user just to win, in my opinion, this why some dont do well with other cars when there is not a clear meta car or the alfa, wrx, & supra arent track supreme, because without using the meta, they arent very good drivers to win, and you see them all over the road or pushing us off the road to win lol

So far on C I am seeing Renault on RM for 11 laps and RH for 1. Minor fuel savings required.

For A, not sure. Beetle/WRX again?

I had a copy of that. Came to the conclusion it does not mean the best ratio is the best car. In fact the results in no way reflected the meta cars dominance.
You are absolutely right. It's certainly not power/weight ratio alone. But it seems to be the easiest point of attack to adjust BOP, I guess. Surely easier than to experiment with suspension, transmission etc.

No, sadly I've forgotten. Maybe @Cherryturbo (see above) can help out?

If I had the chance to race, I know which car I would try. You know it, too...😉🤣

Is there any point of tuning when races are BoPed? Are all cars set to standard weight and limited to HP only, or all the other parameters lock into some standard as well?

That's good to know, even if I did supect it.
I put a line about this in every Daily Races article (although I have to shake it up every week so Google doesn't think I'm copy-pasting). This week's version is:
all three races use the Balance of Performance (BOP) system to more closely match different vehicles within the same category, although this prevents players from tuning and tweaking their own cars for the race

That's good to know, even if I did supect it.
you can actually have BoP with setup but they never do that.
I do a league race where we do Bop with set up allowed, IE HP and weight are BoP but you can setup the car with suspension, gearing, aero, LSD brake, brake balance.

Maybe Thirsday or Friday someone posted a tweet from GT-Eng!ne showing their preliminary unpublished results of the BoP changes.

So... no Alfas in it, I guess...🤣

Err... I know, the joke gets old. Just couldn't help myself.😇
Finding the Alfa very quick in Race C.

It might have its flaws at the A+ level but in B lobbies that acceleration is priceless.

Yep, Race B is lots of fun!

It's a very sweaty race though (literally). Hello August, I guess.

On a side note, do AT drivers suffer greatly here due to the 'revving out' required in this car, or does the game compensate?

I care not, I bought the car, it's one of my favourites in racing history, and I have a cool livery.

Let the haters hate
I'm guilty of that, too. Proof:

Race C is tough (well for me it is)
Quali time is 1.31.0 and the car feels great (in the Megane Troph). But as soon as the races starts I just lose all pace. The time trial before races are awful. I just don’t like they fact they give you the best car conditions available with unlimited tyre wear and 1 lap of fuel.

Done 4 races (but only raced 3 as the lobby loaded and then quit on me straight away) and my first two races were awful.
Race 1 - P3 and the first lap the car feels completely different and I have zero grip. I lose a position to a idiot that used me as a brake (who then quit 2 corners later) and I lose 3 positions due to them. As I’m getting back to speed someone past me as I’m ghosted but them drops it on the grass and just as I’m unghost wham the spinner sideswipes me and last. Managed to pull it back to P7 but the race finished with only 10 cars.
Race 2 - P2 and I start ok but again struggle with the opening lap. Manage to hold on to P2 for 3/4 laps and get overtaken. They pick up a 1 seconds pen next lap so P2 again. Then on lap 9 I’m losing so much time as I just done have the grip in the car and I drop it on the grass and I’m out. Raged quit (I never rage quit as well) as I couldn’t be bothered to do the last 2 laps
Race 3 - on pole, but game quits me in the lobby. Thanks PD 👍🏻
Race 4 - in P3 and for what ever reason the car actually has grip and I felt confident. Lap 11 I pit from P2 (but running a net P3) and I come out just behind P2. Unable to make an overtake and finish P3.

I set the first times with one of my favorites... I think I should still be able to do it under 1.30... then it will be difficult. What is the fuel consumption in the race? Do you have to save if you want to drive 0 stops?

I wasn't able to report my further Daily Race A excursions from last week due to the update but I can say that it was something else but as expected. The Civic Type R Touring Car would later break me because I gave up trying to master it and I was like yeah I'm gonna call it a week after two more sessions. So I did those two sessions and in one of them it would later be converted to a win and it was decided already on the first lap with this switcheroo I pulled.

Now that's settled. Time to focus on this week and I have decided to focus on Race B because its up in my alley and I like the Roadster TC. Just like my usual first day Daily Race excursions I would focus on qualifying and the best I can muster for now is a low 1:21 (1:21.1 to be specific) and I did two sessions.

First session went and I managed to bag my first pole of the week and things went smoothly and the guy behind me kept me in check for at least 5 and half laps until he screwed in one of the turns and that's where I got away and win the race. The guy was also having problems trying to keep the car from sliding which to be honest even I'm a victim of that.

For my second session things went bad for me as I braked way too late on the first turn of the first lap where it led to me lose about 4 positions (I started 4th on this one) and I was only able to recover up to 6th. Suffice to say this Roadster TC caught me slacking so I'm gonna need to remove that rust in driving this Roadster.

Overall this race I like it because I get to drive the good ol' Roadster TC again for a daily. Although I don't know if its just me but I feel like this daily would be better suited as a Daily Race A rather than B because I'm accustomed as to how Sport works with how dailies are handled but oh well it is what it is I guess.

Pretty sure Daily C is a one stop requirement as RM & RH are required. Obviously, even a splash of fuel during the stop will cost a lot of time. Seen people in the Renault Trophy do a no-fuel run; didn't watch the whole race though, but think just some short shifting would be enough.

Genesis is currently leading the boards. That's quali, race might be completely different as I am not sure of its fuel consumption.

Only RH is required, you can do a no stop if you run RH throughout.

Is the Megane the best at conserving fuel? I'm fast in the Alfa but it'll never do 12 laps without falling way behind, will take some testing I think.

I know what you mean, but I think it's nice for PD to show us that just because Race A is going to be unranked for the time being doesn't mean that we can't still have ranked Race A-type options.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.

Toyota 86? It's always seemed to be good on fuel.

I got a penalty for doing the whole Race on RH's.
