Yeah same here! I love how smooth you have to be on the throttle to get a fast lap time…. And like you said, great racing! A nice change from gr3 and gr 4 races

I’ve been doing mostly quali laps this week, and I seem to be getting worse! Each session I seem to be best on laps 2 or 3, and then get worse and worse! It’s so frustrating! I just can’t find the consistency because, as has been pointed out by many, the turning markers are just hard to find reliably.
In other news, I’m getting a better sim rig so I can move up to load cell peddles. I have the Fanatec DD Pro set that is branded for GT7. I was looking at the Heusinkveld Sprint peddles and almost pulled the trigger when I suddenly realized that they won’t reliably work with my wheel or the game on PS5.
So what load cell peddles are my brilliant racing friends using? I’m probably going to go with the Fanatec V3 with the updated modifications because it’s ready to go with my wheel. Is there something else I should consider?

I am always screaming the virtues of the Z4 because TC is horrible in this game and I use X for gas so i need a car with a solid rear end. It does understeer a bit and runs out of lungs on longer straights but it is epic on corner exits and Bathurst is all about exits, 3 to 4 vital exits dominate the lap.
Here is one from last night, was a good race, I think i was fair on the final lap at the Chase. You can see the huge gains i make on exit but also how much I struggle in a straight line. Even in the Tow i gain very little to nothing. I have my qualy down to a 2.03.2 in the Z4 though.
By the way, OT but can anyone help me? I cannot seem to find ANYWHERE on Youtube to stop it from defaulting to SD video download. So I am recording on PS4 in HD but when I send to Youtube it populates in SD. Anyone?

That happens to me often, too. I hit "THE" lap early, but then I seemingly can't improve my fastest lap anymore. I usually blame it on my controller.😜
But what I still can improve is my average laptime, because the consistency will come sooner or later, albeit maybe not on the level of my fastest time.

You're likely braking too late. So you so a sighter lap then a "banker" and you struggle to beat your banker, you're almost certainly braking too late, not carry enough mid corner speed and slow on exit.

Yup. You understand my misery! But yes, I have also decided that if I can’t beat my best time, getting a lot more close laps is just as important. If I can at least be consistently mediocre, I hope, is better than both great and horrible in the same race. Unfortunately, I still haven’t finished a clean race so I’m consistently horrible at this point!

I was hoping it wouldn’t be that clip 🙈. I was pushing a bit hard trying to hang with these guys. Also some good fun with @GOTMAXPOWER once again. I was keeping up with the pace for the most part but too many mistakes here and there. All good fun though.

Those were some fun races, we were both around the same pace just not quick enough to latch on to the back of the lead group without taking crazy risks.

It's strange, before their introduction I never thought No DR/SR races could work and would be dirty af, but it really proves to be the opposite. Especially here where the BoP finally seems to work quite well

I don't even know what you refer to 😅I wasn't really on a good pace, as I was switching cars almost every race so I wasn't close to their limits, but it was all good fun I think.
Regarding the chaos I mentioned, this was a scene I meant, but I just realized that you were not racing at that time.

I was expecting the same when the penalties were effectively turned off on GTS but most people want a clean race and it effectively polices itself, it might even be better with ratings turned off because people are taking it less seriously.@GOTMAXPOWER @NikNakTobasco yeah that were some good, sometimes a bit chaotic, but good races

Just did my first Race C of the week... What and embarrassing and humbling experience for me 😂🫤
Started 16th in a top split lobby with a time of 1:30:5 using the Megane. I opted to start with the Toyota 86 on RH as I like the drive and fuel economy.
To say I was obliterated within 1.5 laps is an understatement! Everyone pitted on lap 1 onto RMs and that's it, they were gone 😂 I was driving very consistently, 1:31:9 to 1:32:2 all the time. Fuel Map 1 in sectors 1 and 4 and Map 2 in sectors 2 and 3. Finished with 0.9 laps of fuel to spare when everyone else pitted on lap 9 again. I finished 49 seconds behind the leader...
No idea what I did wrong. Wasn't all bad though, no racing meant clean race bonus and it was entertaining. P15 would get 7 seconds ahead of me, spin, i go past and he overtakes me again by the end of the lap. This happened EVERY lap 😂 Every time was "here we go again" 😂

You did well to get into top split, they’re totally stacked this week. No shame in keeping an eye on everything from the back. That’s why I’m at daily A this week. I’ve had a few weeks of hard races so just chilling out is nice.
