First time this week on my main account and first race anywhere as a B.

Couldn’t hook up a clean lap in qualification. Optimum was a 31 flat but could only bank a 32 something so started 15th.

Kept it clean and steady in the Vantage, 10 lap stint on the mediums. Made up a few places, crossed the line 8th and got a 4 place bonus.

A nice start at the new level but I’m way off the pace - 1.5s per lap off the leaders on one of my “good” tracks.

Whoever said before in this thread you can't give your 100% in Brands Hatch is so right. A few laps in after starting 8th I found myself on first with the driver behind trailing at around 6 seconds, I figured they could be doing a no-stopper (vs my 10 laps RM, 2 laps RH), so started pushing as much as possible and quickly noticed that instead of gaining the gap had gone down by over a second from just making a single or a couple mistakes per lap vs the slower but safer ones. Didn't manage to increase the gap in the end and one of those mistakes eventually ended with me meeting the barriers, and frustratingly the driver behind was going to pit at the same time as I was supposed to, so a comfortable win turned into 4th place. Really annoying but lesson learned I guess.

Wow. You should really not be on the outside line on a friday evening. Shoved, punted and breakchecked multiple times by a lot of drivers in two conseciutive Race C last night. Edit: B/S Rating.

is it possible to enter pitlane directly at the rolling start when you qualify as 16th? you could immediatly change to RM.

Edit: in Brands Hatch Race C

I guess this will teach me to pull over and let someone pass. Not sure I needed to anyway. Just trying to be nice

I'm actually a bit shocked he did that. He's a regular in Scottie's streams & chat He obviously thought you pushed him into the wall on purpose, but still no real need for that.

Also can anyone with one tell what are the driver ratings in Daily Races are like after 12am on the PS5 ? On Daily Race C this morning (on PS4) 4 or 5 A+, some A's but quite a few B/B B/C etc etc. Are the higher rated drivers mostly on PS5 or am i just imagining things ?

I pulled over to a near stop to let him get past to show to him pretty definitively that it was an accident and I was letting him back through. He had a lot of time to think about what he was going to do, i was indicating to him to go by even. I think I’ve seen him in chat as well. I’ll be sure to say hello to him next time I do 😃

Really shocked by how unpopular race B seems to be. Did this a couple nights ago (about 1am?) - I've never seen such a big spread. All the way down to D is crazy.

This morning I did three of them on my second account, just to get used to racing again after two weeks away from it, and noticed that it was at least spread from B/S with excellent qualifying times down to C/B.

The racing itself was very clean and fair, people were throwing a lot of very nice chat templates at each other afterwards...😆

Yep, I can say the same thing, really spread :irked:

The chat boxes are a welcome return.
And there is not a single reason why these werent in the game on release.

Lobbies are still very buggy, barely usable. Now we do have the feature of saving settings - but the lobbies are bugged out. Its a shame.

Lobbies seem even worse than before at the moment. Literally unusable

Switched to the Alfa for a 2nd go at race C. Immediately took 1 sec off my qualification lap. Started 6th. A few spinners early put me up to 3rd. Managed to pull off a nice clean pass vs a Swift into Graham Hill Bend. They must have been in major shock after not being rammed into oblivion.

No chance to catch the leading Trophy, held on to 2nd with a 9M/3H. B level not so bad - if I stick with the OP Alfa.

LULZ, I got you beat. Jumped into an A this morning and a bunch of people got timed out. There were three of us starting the race! The other two guys were C rated. And I know my overall time was pants (as the Brits say... which means ****) but I wasn't exactly in push mode. Just finish and you get a podium!

And here's your starting lineup!!!

Now I know how Schumacher felt at the 2005 USGP when only three teams started.... and I was literally at that race!!!

Just for fun I tried the Lambo at Race C this morning. Apart from being a bit squirrelly around a couple of the turns with elevation change, it was amazing in fuel consumption. I was surprised by this and may try to devise a No-stop with it if I can take those turns without sliding sideways each time.

you have to be less than .7 tenth slower on the hards, than mediums for no stop to be faster than 1 stop change tires(no fuel). I havent found a car where this is true yet.

Hmm, I may not be Sherlock Holmes but my keen powers of observation have deduced that the G70 may be worth a try.

Total race time almost identical to earlier race's 4th in the Vantage - guess I jumped up into a higher split.

I got involved in probably my most consistent race C last night and my first pole start (C/S) on it for the week. Somehow dropped a full second on my qualifying time from 1:32.2 to 1:31.2 in the Megane Trophy. Led for 10 1/2 laps against a GTR, dipped onto the grass at Surtees and dropped to 2nd, we both pitted for hards at the end of lap 11. Luckily, he went into the grass at Hawthorn or Westfield and I was able to get 1st back and hang on for the win.

It feels really good when you can finally figure a track out and put in consistent times, other than the first lap and the one where I went off, I was between a high 1:31 and low 1:33 the whole way. Might've bumped myself back up into B after that though, and it'll only be a matter of time until I'm back in C. I keep bouncing around between the two.

Thanks for that. That’s kinda what I thought. I’ve been meaning to do the math and keep getting distracted.

At this point in the week, how are that many people not realizing you need to put on an RH for at least a lap?!

I’m very thankful for their assistance in boosting me up the rankings!

Hit a bit of a wall now with race C. Can’t hook up a sub-31 quali lap so stuck starting outside the top 10. Everyone in B seems to be very evenly matched so struggling to make up places. May end up back in C at this rate.

Did have a nice battle with a gold G70. Side by side through several corners, passes with no contact. Just the way it should be and great fun.

Hate that. Lately it seems that every time I drop down to C, I get a couple podiums and maybe a win and I'm back on the struggle bus in B.

So who is using TCS next week in the M3 tuning race?

I am down to 2:09.00 with TCS 1 and 2:11.2 with out TCS. This after 15 laps with each (although tuning the car as I went).
its a fun combo. TCS 2 for me is horrendously slow like never got better than 2:14.
