I find it absolutely baffling that PD didn’t impose an auto-reset to stop this. Resetting anyone that cuts a massive chunk of the grass will stop this.

The people who complained about car balance are awfully quite today... 😂@Pigems
I guessed that GT7 would bring you back, glad you are. the daily race forum is more interesting now and hopefully the popular attitude of incessant complaining and criticism will subside soon.
I am finding GT7 to be much improved, tuning is growing on me
see yall on the track

You’ve got to be insanely good to do that strat. One slight mistake and you’re out the slip and it’s all over. I did wonder if it was possible. So apparently you can no stop race C or at least you can if you are a leg end like Tidgney as demonstrated in his stream tonight. While I was watching he managed a 2nd place with the Mazda not sure if he managed a win later or not.
I must admit I gave it a go and got to the last corner before running out of fuel but I was off the pace unlike Mr T who somehow stayed at race pace due mysterious alien powers or something. Keeping with the folks around me I can comfortably make it to lap 7 with the mazda and then have to dive in for a sip of fuel. Stopped changing my tyres because of the fuel saving it helps tyre save too and they last well enough for me to finish the race without too many issues.
Seem to be hitting top 10 finish more often doing this strategy so sticking with it for now

After watching the latest top times I now know why I’m seeing a bunch of people start above me with 1.41 qualy. Quite frustrating to be knocked down the starting order a few places due to cheating.
Well, I'm getting there. Braking slightly earlier and using the throttle to bravely rotate the car at the apex shaved six tenths off. Good advice. The one where you turn left onto the long straight? Before the turn there's like a service road or something coming off the right side of the track, you want to brake when you're about halfway past that, about a third of way if you're on a full tank. Turn in as early as you can so once you hit the apex you can open up the steering as soon as possible and get good traction,. It's one of those corners where it's much better to be too early with your braking than it is to be late.
Hope that helps!
Apologies if i've missed this in discussion but....how the hell are some people setting 1.39, 1.40 quali times in Race C ?
Must have been Race C. I questioned the guy that did a 1.39 and he reffered me to a youtube channel, but the set up the guy was showing only gave him a time of 1.44I believe there are a few cheat times that got through, but I can’t remember which race it was now. Someone else mentioned it earlier today.

No quali timesDo you mean in race lap times? The slipstream on Daytona is probably worth a couple seconds if you’re in a train of 2/3/4 cars.
So how is the guy setting 1.39's in quali only doing 1.44's in a race ?Race C you can skip the chicane while qualifying as long as you don't rejoin the track, cross the line before the penalty appears. Same old trick as in GT Sport.
Cause you can't get away with it in race, you get nailed for the next lap. Plus it's always been slower in race due to added fuel weight and tire wear. I just had a race in GT Spot, 2:00 flat on pole, I got the FL with a 2:02.7 time (climbing through the field to 2nd). He was on pole, never got challenged, but couldn't put a fast lap together. So how is the guy setting 1.39's in quali only doing 1.44's in a race ?
i respect your opinion but 5 secs a lap difference ? NONE of the world tour guys are anywhere near 1.40's let alone 1.39'sCause you can't get away with it in race, you get nailed for the next lap. Someone did manage to set impossible FL on Monza online in GT Sport by flying past Ascari. Big penalty, yet you're already past the penalty zone, so that 5 to 7 seconds saved counts towards your lap.
FL is meaningless when short cut penalties aren't taken into account, but it has always been that way.
Theoretically it is possible to do in the race but only on the last lap and if anybody tries it they're not finishing the next one, my race laps have been quicker in qualifying than the race because the track is cooler at the end.Cause you can't get away with it in race, you get nailed for the next lap. @LGBT_Barron This is the shortcut they're doing in qualifying to give you some idea of where the 5s gain is coming from:
