what works in Q will not be optimal in the race, especially when fuel and tire wear are present. with practice, i think anyone can tune a car to work better, the process will also improve your skills because now you must understand what factors influence sector and lap times. Cant get on the throttle early and hard enough? turn in difficult? loose on exit? tunable. Now, any car can be made reasonably competitive. lack of top end i think, much of the time, is a trans tuning issue, rear aero less so. As much as I loathed the thought of tuning for races, this has made the game much more compelling and interesting. As max pointed out earlier, track temperature is now a factor, even without tire temperature monitoring at present, how cool is that? what works for a world tour competitor is unlikely to work best for you. Now, you are not stuck with what the game gives you, you can tune out what you dont like.
how are yall testing your tunes? lobby seems to be optimal, i havent tried it yet.
