What?all I can think of is, why lots of rain? On purpose.
It is tough. Like you have to choose between FIA/dailies and car collecting I feel like 🥶 Can't do both all the time. FIA might work though if only BOP, no tuning. Test season seems like it 🤔 Sport mode needs bigger rewards.I did 3 race C last night, no quali as usual, finished 7th, 5th and 3rd in the Viper SRT. That advanced me to DR.B (started as DR.C)
I'm driving a stock car and it shows. Many people do as well in DR.C but its clear who has tuned or copied a tune since the winner is always 30 seconds ahead at the finish. Matchmaking is still a joke as well, putting a tuned R8 LMS Evo SR.B driver on pole. Does it not match on SR anymore? Why bother keeping SR.S if you still get matched with SR.B?
But I had one race where I actually had a bit of back and forth with another driver. First 'interaction' in GT7 instead of passing wrecks or getting wrecked. (Or a simple draft pass)
It has potential, the payout doesn't though. 17K for 3rd place with the Sauber C9 sitting at the dealer for 3 million. I can't 'afford' doing more online races. Got to grind before the GR.C car disappears again.
The matchmaking would suggest there aren’t as many people online as there were in sport. Feels like they’re chucking in any players they can find. Splitting up PS4 and PS5 probably a large reason why. I’m getting matched with people I never would have in Sport.I did 3 race C last night, no quali as usual, finished 7th, 5th and 3rd in the Viper SRT. That advanced me to DR.B (started as DR.C)

0:26 is a real series of unfortunate events If you can put the brake balance forward a bit you can avoid that oversteer under braking.I was actually unlocking more GR.3 cars to find one I can use in the daily C that doesn't kill me and the others on the track This was my experience in the Citroen GT, 650K wasted:
I've had some better experiences since the game has returned, after some pretty chaotic races early in the week. I noticed today people are more wary of contact due to the penalty system and two guys who shoved past me to get out of the infield at Daytona both received penalties for their troubles.I'm done with the daily races, tried two today, it simply isn't any fun.
It's the same as early GT Sport again, people not using radar, blindly turning in on you. Yet now you get damage if not a penalty. Penalties don't work anyway. I got punted into the new chicane barriers by a laggy Brazillian. My car wouldn't get back up to speed until after the finish line, severely damaged. No penalty, nothing for the Brazillian, just drove on at full speed. Track limits are as incomprehensible as ever and now I 'advanced' to DR.B it's just more and more copy paste tunes to race against.
The game has so much potential and I’m very pleased that a collision penalty system is in place but it has flaws. Due to the ’very particular’ physics engine we have now its so easy to be PIT manoeuvred, be it accidentally or not. This never results in a penalty so some people do it on purpose. Randomly braking when someone is right behind will net the following car a 2 second penalty and pinball corners can end in a seemingly random allocation of penalties.I'm done with the daily races, tried two today, it simply isn't any fun.

For an hour play, just shy of 20K credits. So that's 150 hours to be able to buy the Sauber C9
I also did 3 Mount Panorama races in GT Sport. Much higher quality racing there, mostly close and fair. But there are more trouble makers now cause matchmaking has far less people to work with. It's also Saturday of course. And in GT Sport you have refined dirty drivers that will push you off just before a braking zone to make sure you fly off into oblivion.
I'll avoid online for a while, PD has ruined an already broken thing even more. No idea whether the golden years of GT Sport will come back in GT7, so far it's just worse in every way. (Except the pretty light change during the race and extra challenge of the track cooling down)
Btw I did sign up for the manu cup (not sure if I'll actually bother showing up) and it gave me two cars I already have. Can I race with my own, or do I have to buy tires etc to race with the loaner cars...
The game uses a different server for the ps5. When I tried GT7 on ps4 pro, I got 5 bars as many others in the race. Yet in GT7 it's always capped to 3 bars with worse in between. The game has so much potential and I’m very pleased that a collision penalty system is in place but it has flaws. I also I think the terrible connections on the servers are causing accidents, lagging all over the place will inevitably result in collisions at close quarters. How is the whole field driving around with 2 or 3 dot pings.

On the other side when someone broke way too early in front of me and I ended up hitting them as I had nowhere to go I was just waiting for the penalty but it never came, so perhaps there's been some adjustment there, or perhaps it's just hit and miss as it ever was and I got the rub and you didn't this time.
It's tough to go back to Sport as I know anything I'm doing there is not going towards anything and the graphic drop really is noticeable.
Handle wasn’t a word that was mentioned, have another read.Mediocre drivers driving cars they can’t handle is the bit I don’t get. What should they be driving?
The rooms getting mismatched i agree with. I’m in races with Tidgeney this morning which is absurd.
Still don’t get the problem. They’re driving the best cars available to them. Everyone’s using the tunes that are on YouTube. You could do the same.Handle wasn’t a word that was mentioned, have another read.
I’m A, and other A drivers are being outpaced by B drivers driving inconsistently, missing apexes and displaying average race craft. The fact they make up most of the time on corner exits and down the straights suggests they’re in the right car with the right setup more than anything.
I was following a B driver at Daytona that was consistently missing T1, and the right handed hairpin after, then somehow gaining 4 tenths on the left and exit to the oval and carrying it all the way to the line to be around 1 sec a lap faster.
PP system is broken, that's why. check video I shared few posts above.Handle wasn’t a word that was mentioned, have another read.

Wasn’t my contention initially that I wasn’t a fan of the system? Considering we came from a rigid BoP in GTS to open tuning in 7 I feel like I shouldn’t have to spell that out for you. Whether I can do the same as others isn’t the counter to the point I put forth initially. Please read.Still don’t get the problem. They’re driving the best cars available to them. I want BoP back as much or more than anyone. But if you’re going into races with people you say are much worse than you and losing because they’ve got better tunes it seems like there’s a very simple solution. If you’re stubbornly using stock cars on principle then I would say that’s an admirable stance you’re taking.Wasn’t my contention initially that I wasn’t a fan of the system? I was (stubbornly using stock cars) and have now given up on GT7 sport mode. It has become the real road rage simulator. I don't know what's worse, the campaign ride the brakes AI or drivers in youtube tunes plowing into you.I want BoP back as much or more than anyone. See what I don’t understand is why you’re insinuating I’m beating my head against the wall trying again and again and losing? I played 5 hours yesterday, got nowhere with my tuning and results and realised it’s not for me. I made my post and my position known but for some reason you think the solution to this is ‘lol just get a tune from YouTube and have fun bro just roll with the unbalanced game bro’.I want BoP back as much or more than anyone. Indeed in Sport mode you become the rabbitThought of the day:
Single player mode is start at the back and barge your way to the front. Sport mode is try to start as high as possible then avoid getting barged from the rear.
Over the course of my time with it this weekend I'd say overall I'm pretty happy with it. I can accept the odd expletive laden outburst as long as I can see that it is consistently punishing those barging past or hitting me, hopefully it will encourage a rise in driving standards if kept as it is and tweaked over time.On the whole though the penalty system seems a bit better than what I recall from my GTS days but it can still a bit inconsistent and nonsensical at times as well
