C is leaning towards MR it seems, most races I have been in has had podium all Porsche RSR.
But the Ferrari and the Lamborghini are almost as fast. And I haven't tried the Ford's yet
BRZ is very strong. The tire wear - or lack thereof - on that car makes it tough to beat.

What a day today. Took a Hat Trick of win on Daily C. 3 in a row.
Race 1 - straight forward really. Pole, Fastest, Clean & Victory
Race 2 - started P2 but did a nice overtake into the hairpin on lap 1. Lap 5 I then decided to try and bin the car in gravel. Luckily I got away with it.
Race 3 - this was a great race and this is what I play GT7 for. Started P2 and the top 3 all running within 1 second of each other. P3 starts to lose touch around L3/L4 with me in P2 & P1. Lap 4 P1 makes an error at the hairpin this allows me get a great run on them and make the move at T1. Gave them space, and they gave me space. Brilliant driving. All 3 of us had good clean racing. After again just a case of bringing it home.

Porsche is so good round this layout and I love driving it. Also I like the no chicane too.

Daily A not having so much luck. Seem to have lobby issue on this race. Lobby loads and then it crashes. The races I have done are just carnage. Fun but crazy.

Having a ball in race B, same alfas again but a decent car for me so no worries. Also got my golds in all circuit experience but the first sector, that first corner requires some speed. Looking forward to some Suzuka fun all week, nice change up

Well first I'd say driving at Interlagos is gonna be outside the Catalunya track limits.

But seriously, you need to run mediums and hard tires in the race.

You mean Catalunya. And there is a mandatory pit stop required.

So Race B appears to be an Alfa fest again, which is fine if they'd actually keep it on the track. I didn't qualify as high as I wanted to which is fine, just jumping in for a race or two on my lunch break, but omg I couldn't make it past the hairpin before being shunted into the wall by someone who either lost it, got mad they were being passed, or just decided to be a dick.

After last weeks shunt fest my driver rating is down to C with a safety rating of S so it's not my fault. Probs just retiring online racing till the damage model gets tweaked again because again, got slammed in the side by some butthurt moron who was mad I could pass them which wrecked my entire right side and engine, therfore dropping me from mid pack to tail end of the field.

Until those types of drivers are punished there's literally no point.

I pitted on lap 6 just used mediums though.
Yeah, Mediums and Hards are required compounds. I found reasonable success running hards for the first 6 laps, coming in at the end of 6, and taking mediums till the end.
Not a lot of success because I kinda suck at driving and strongly dislike the circuit, but success nonetheless.

I pitted on lap 6 just used mediums though. was shaking like mad in that race soon as I hit the grid, still got hand tremors :)
Hard and medium tyres are mandatory. So many times I’ve pitted and I fear that I’m going to stick the wrong tyres on.

Took the BRZ for a spin. Mugged by a 911 off the start and again a couple of laps later on the straight. Like I was standing still. Mediums lasted until lap 7, pitted from the lead and came out just behind 3rd place Porsche. Unfortunately the hards were absolutely useless on the outlap , no heat or grip, like driving on ice. Visited the gravel, got passed by another couple 911s, finished 6th.

Even though bla bla boring Alfa again this week, the layout and car actually are fun but....

Why PD impose a RH tire choice for a 4 lap race is beyond me. Even worse is...

People exploiting the fact they can shove you off corners if it's not a direct front bumper contact and 1, they pass without penalty and 2, YOU actually get a penalty for cutting the corner!!!!

Cheers PD, hope you all find a lump of coal under the tree this Xmas! 😐

Good thing about the month it takes to get down the pit lane is that you can take a bit of time in picking the correct tyres you need for the next stint, if you're a little nervous.

This was my 1st online race in a while and just didn't see anything in the pre race info about penalty's etc, Know now and best checking this thread 1st.

Before the race starts, there is a blue box to the left of the line-up that shows race conditions. Mandatory tyres/stops are shown there.

But you dont get a penalty if you cut the corner after getting hit.

Since I despise Catalunya and 2 of the daily races are there this week, that leaves me with Suzuka which I'm a huge fan of. I decided to try some laps with the Mustang and got a 2:13.5XX in the end. I then tried the all mighty Alfa 155 and, my goodness, what a difference it made. I got down to a 2:12.7XX after I figured out how to drive the Alfa. Since I bought one when it was on sale, I took way too long to recreate the decals just to change the paint color. Some more laps later I drop my time to a 2:12.2XX with an optimal time of 2:11.6XX. I didn't expect to be so much quicker in the Alfa and I would have had no chance in another car. I'll try to get a sub 2:11 time, but I think I should have a decent place on the grid come race time.

Bought a wheel last week and am still trying to learn how to drive with it (strangely I managed to get a couple of circuit experiences almost immediately despite having tried for ages with the controller, but in actual races I am super bad). Hope I'll be comfortable enough with the wheel to join a couple of Suzuka races this week. Currently at 2:14:4xx in the Alfa.

The rallycross track could be anywhere mate it shares no characteristics with the main circuit.
The rallycross is at Catalunya. It starts at T10 on the main course.
From the actual article posted today about the race:
There’s a grid start with false start check (keep the brakes or handbrake on) on the start line spur, which is set on the main Catalunya course just ahead of turn 10.

And the course itself is filed under Catalunya in World Circuits.

The car on the inside nudged me wide not particularly dirty but definitely not my fault, the car on the outside had nowhere to go and got slammed, so the game decides to reset me not moving well before the turn. I don't know what to say at this point, how can anyone be happy with the state of online racing in GT7? I will continue racing in Race A for now to get clips and have the extremely rare good race but I don't blame anyone for moving on.

Race B again, decided why not try to get faster, that way I don't get wrecked.
Realized I couldn't get much faster than a 2:13:7xx with the WRX so I swapped to the Alfa just to see what I could do with it.

Two laps into qualifying turned in a 2:13:2xx. The Alfa is definitely more planted in the esses section and gets through the hairpin and 130R faster.
That time was good enough for 1st. Got into the lobby for reals and realized that the person behind me was not in an Alfa. I knew then that all I had to do was make it to the esses before they did and I was golden. Ended up running away with the victory by just about 8 seconds.

Figured ok, lets see what other cars can do. The 650S is pretty good too. Really planted in the corners, takes a bit of shift management to get it to rotate well through the tight stuff. Unfortunately that race was marred by more punting. Had a guy slow into 130R, we went side by side down that straight, he decided that was bad news bears and veered into me. The contact shunted me off track to the side and him off track in front of me. I got a 3 second penalty and pulled the plug.

Went back to the Alfa, had a few more clean races. The trick is be up front, use the fastest car, ignore the plebs.

Of course, my point is that it's not like you're driving the main GP course, you could pick it up and plop it anywhere. So it's not like you're racing the same circuit in two of the daillies, as suggested.
