I did some Race C's yesterday in the Alfa 4C, such a good car. Maybe not the meta, but not far off either. Also I can manage 6 laps on meds and 4 on Hards. So glad the last patch fixed the Mr physics
In case you feel like giving it some F1 vibes, I'm sharing this livery for the 4C tonight...I did some Race C's yesterday in the Alfa 4C, such a good car. Maybe not the meta, but not far off either. Also I can manage 6 laps on meds and 4 on Hards. So glad the last patch fixed the Mr physics
Is the 4C the "friendly" Alfa, which doesn't - by its driving characteristics - make drivers want to punt other racers? 😇I did some Race C's yesterday in the Alfa 4C, such a good car. I'm not sure what you refer to? Before the patch it was hardly controllable, but it definitely is nowIs the 4C the "friendly" Alfa, which doesn't - by its driving characteristics - make drivers want to punt other racers? 😇
He's bringing out the classic comedy of all Alfa drivers are dirty.I'm not sure what you refer to? Before the patch it was hardly controllable, but it definitely is now
I wouldn't say ALL Alfa (155 Gr4) drivers are dirty drivers... but 99.9% is probably a realistic estimate. ;PHe's bringing out the classic comedy of all Alfa drivers are dirty.
I was referring to the Gr4 Alfa 155, which sometimes seems to make reckless lunatics out of friendly sim drivers. #Yamagiva massacre 😆I'm not sure what you refer to? Before the patch it was hardly controllable, but it definitely is now
Time to shift to stick and triggers.Been a while since I posted here, really struggling with the daily's lately. I just cannot warm to the physics of GT7 vs Sport and the only cars i feel half decent in are the Z4 and the 155. Tried Catalunya last night as there is no chicane so maybe tolerable and I was all over the road, i cannot place the cars where i want in GT7, I am missing my apexes constantly. Managed a 42.1 in the Mclaren but zero consistency.
I dunno what it is, but for first time in years i am not looking forward to my weeknight racing.
No, not all. Some are. He's bringing out the classic comedy of all Alfa drivers are dirty.
I knew you'd come around to Suzuka.I spent 350 miles yesterday learning Suzuka for the first time in the dreaded alfa. It actually feels ok there. The racing has been mostly ok, bar one idiot, he’s done this before, goes deep and you cut inside then he just turns into you and then does the usual flashing and trying to bomb me at every turn which is a shame. The lighting went a bit strange in a race today, so overcast I could hardly see, like I was watching through sunglasses. Overall I really like Suzuka, I think I prefer TT there than racing tbh.
Sector 1 has a very satisfying flow to it, I’m still unsure how to correctly take the double apex left before the straight near the end (sorry dont know the names), so I do feel a bit clumsy in places but it’s probably my favourite grand prix track, which im usually really bad at.I knew you'd come around to Suzuka.
I really wanted to do some Race C this week but there is construction being done on my building and I had to rearrange the area where I play. No wheel until next week. I'd love to see for myself how this new update has changed things.
You save the replay of that? Because that should not happen.
See here from Tidgney:
Spoon, I believe. Yeah, that's a tough one that I feel is one of those turns many will never have full confidence they took it perfectly.Sector 1 has a very satisfying flow to it, I’m still unsure how to correctly take the double apex left before the straight near the end (sorry dont know the names), so I do feel a bit clumsy in places but it’s probably my favourite grand prix track, which im usually really bad at.
Have done my fastest lap in the Mustang, 1.42 flat so far, but in race it chews the tires and is sliding around on hards. Tough car to recommend outside of its outright pace over a lap. Shame as well as it's one I love to use usually.Took a Mustang to the Porsche Cup. Didn’t feel as good as in the past, started 9th, finished 9th. Once again had problems with tyre grip on the outlap, seems like something changed in the update.
That was my 100th Sport race in GT7. About 99 more than I usually play online, so the devs must have done something right.
13 clean races (I was very erratic to start and I swear recently it’s more track limit penalties than collisions), 4 fastest laps, 4 poles, 2 wins, 35 top 5s.
I had a 156 a long time ago. Great car, thoroughly enjoyed it 😍No, not all. Some are.
I'm driving an Alfa in real life, btw. Sometimes my little MiTo reveals the street maniac in me.🤣
My first Alfa was a 156. My second was a 156, too. Beautiful machines.I had a 156 a long time ago. Great car, thoroughly enjoyed it 😍
Most are doing it on purpose, not lack of skill... Quite sad running races like that, actually.perhaps if players had to earn a sport mode licence for clean driving and racing skill their racing might improve instead of just pushing others off the track.
I am a bit frustrated that there are so many hooligans just ramming you off track deliberately in race B when you make a clean and legitimate overtake.Set a decent time for Race B (a 2.09.8) but the race is nowhere near as fun as last week's Alfa fest. So spent most of my time doing some Race C's and doing loads of TT in all the MR cars. Managed to do a 1.40.7 in the Huracan but i'd hope by the end of the week i've got into the 1.39's....but my main goal this week is just to get better at driving MR cars.
Similar experience here. Had two races in mixed lobbies from A+/S to B/A. They both went almost the same. Lots of punting and shoving, but nothing too egregious. Started both in P6/P7, and got catapulted through the mess in T1 by the guy behind me, both times up to P2. Lucky break. Then I lost some positions during the race, due to my inability to get the hairpins consistently right. Always the same method: someone dives inside and shoves me wide, using me as a pivot to get around the turn. Only at the end of the second race I learned the appropriate counter measure: going very slow into the hairpins and parking on the apex. I ended the races in P6 and P5, respectively. Would have been some places better if I had known these tactics before. Finally had a go at wreckfest on race A. Kind of fun, but a bit infuriating. First struggle is simply my inability to get the hairpins right, but that's just what it is. The other is the penalties. I've been behind people who hit barriers head on, bounce off using their nose or even catch the side and drop to a dead stop. No penalty, yet I barely graze it and I've got the penalty. Then there are the track limits. Same lines, but sometimes I get a penalty and the other driver doesn't, sometimes they get the penalty and I don't. Seems hard figure out.
But the chaos is kind of fun. If I cam just figure out how to take the lap consistently I will goback in, but for now I’ve gotta figure out the track a bit better.
