If I’m going to lose at race A, it’s going to be in style.

Will be spending the week tuning this up and seeing if I can beat any of the meta-Vettes.

Had an interesting couple of races today. Race A and I was one of only 3 survivors. P1 went wide into Della Roggia and spent a couple of laps chasing us down. They nudged me wide at Lesmo 2 and gravelled me. I did managed to catch P2 after that only for my Camero to wobble in Ascari meaning I had to settle for the P3.

Onto race C and I was the server victim this time. Got into a later slot and it was a race of 2 halves. managed to avoid a few accidents early on and make my way up to P5 by the time I pitted on lap 5. I even managed this good overtake into the Bus Stop.

However exiting the pits I was too focused on my radar and where the cars were around me and went too deep into the next corner. D'oh. This then put me right behind a Russian. I managed to pull alongside them and take them into the Bus Stop. However I get taken out in the second part.

I understand I was slightly slower due to my angle into the chicanes but he just wanted to barge me out of the way and tried to take to the grass to do it.
My race was ruined from there. I managed to get 1 place back but am thankful for loads of drivers quitting giving me a top 10 finish.

Currently managed a 1:44.1 in the RX8 in Race A - definitely can push this into the 1:43s but I'm a little rusty after spending the weekend at Donington.

Irrelevant tangent, but it was pretty sweet seeing some of the cars I race a lot in game bashing it about (also getting to see Super GT there and becoming a Hello Viewer in real life, which was quite cool). I'm happy to confirm GT3 racing is just as bonkers IRL as it is in the game.

Back to Race A though, the RX8 is pretty rapid but you need to brake about 50m earlier than you're used to, which I'm sure will cause some chaos in the race that is bound to leave me in the dirt. The sound of that engine powering that car though.. it's too good to resist.
It might be smarter to start at the back of the grid with the braking distance it desires honestly.

Damn, if he just stayed behind you, he would have gotten you on the straight. I'm hoping he just got flustered by going off the track but it looks like he put his foot back on the gas to intentionally use your car as a cushion.

RX8 with the engine swap?

Hi guys can anyone tell me why I move down the leader board after the race even though I only got 1 penalty and served it during the race. I did my compulsory pitt stop and used both medium and hard.
I finished in 4th but then got moved down to 8th on the leaderboard after completion of the race. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Are you sure? This is the only reason you'd get the one-minute post-race penalty.

Could you provide screenshots/video of the issue?

Race C just isn't for me.....as with Monza i'm terrible going from fast straight into a slow corner, seems i have either a short attention span or i just get bored with no corners coming at me every 5 secs.....
Race B.....The practice i put in seems to have paid off. I know it's only Monday but I've just managed to get into the top 100 (on my alt account) for the first time ever........AND i won a race with other A+/A/B rated drivers in the CITROEN (slightly helped by my quali time set in the GTR)

Well I've improved since this morning so I'm still top 20. Let's see where YOU are next week! You don't know who I am or what I'm capable of on track. By the end of the day I was top 10. Use my replay if you wanna get good. Lol!
I do know who you are. You hang around with a bunch of slow coaches called Nurb Crew 😂 And I'm faster than you. Always have been always will be.

Thanks for proving me right. I have a few accounts. But you're not bright enough to know which one I use. So that's an epic fail from you. If you are faster than me as you claim, then you should have no problem beating my times. I'll bet a lot of money you get no where near my Daily race A time. You literally scream beta male hatred. Congratulations! Also I've been on here since 2009 and you literally just arrived! Hilarious!

Trial Mountain race this week is for me! I love this circuit and there's definitely sneaky time to be made in the fiddly bits. That said I've taken my WRX, the Alfa, and the GT-R around there and can't crack the 2:01:xx barrier. I'm super close, maybe 2 tenths off max, I just can't find the speed.

The problems I'm having are on turn in, obvs 4wd washes wide a lot of the time. I've had success before using mid engine cars, might try the McLaren GT4.
Some rough racing out there too, lots of divebombs and lots of racers just trying to shove their way into gaps they can't make.

Ended up hard punting some guy, on purpose, who kept trying to rub me off the tarmac. Coming out of the 2nd to last corner before the chicane he tries rubbing again. I was on a wide line to give him room and he runs me onto the grass. I decided braking for the next corner was optional. We both get severe engine damage, he draws the penalty for starting the contact. I put him hard into the wall and pulled away faster than he did. Probably knocked some points off my safety rating but my god did it feel good to mete out some justice.

I say this all the time but if you haven't done so follow a top time ghost in TT and maybe watch their lap and take note of gears and braking points. There is tons of time to be lost or found in every corner....watch your delta on your TT laps, try different lines and see how it affects it. The 4WD cars are great at powering out of turns, so slower entry, get car stable then plant your right foot.

This is more than likely because you are carrying too much speed going into the turns and/or your on the brakes while you are turning.

Yeah those 2 and wrx ladt time around on this circuit.

I played earlier online for 1st time in a couple of months. Turn 2 at RBR, 1st race back, idiot just moved right across me as we accelerated away. Smashed me into wall. Somehow damaged front at rear. Race over. Is this typical now in the dailies? If so, I'll stick to racing v the cpu.
Unfortunately so, finding now, even at B/S level people are taking you out and then you spend the next half a lap limping around, and too got to be so careful around trial mountain as one clipped wall is costly for the same reason

It’s annoying but generally the racing is good and close I’d say

So I’ve tried to enter the last 5 Race C’s and only gotten into 1. The network instability of this game is just absurd.

Anywho, was enjoying taking it to the Supra’s in the Stang. Honestly thought it’d be a one-make borefest, can’t really put my finger on what makes it so engaging.

It is quite addictive. I’ve run the Jag, the 911, DBR9, the Skyline and the Supra so far. I love the Jag. The 911 is lightning through the infield but loses all its gains on the straights.

That last race was VERY anger inducing though. Supra brakes late to overtake me into the chicane ON LAP 1, misses the turn runs back onto the tarmac in the middle of the chicane. I successfully avoid him and then he cuts the exit and pit maneuvers me . I spin onto the grass and he just drives off like he was an innocent bystander.

Absolute chump.

Daytona. Seemed appropriate for an Italian race. Need to tune it up to Competizione spec.
You might want to try to '12 F12berlinetta if you want to keep it Ferrari @ Monza. A little hard to handle but I have it hitting 177 on the straight and can only get the Vette and Viper up to 173.

Yep, I thought I was good in the Supra and then jumped in the Stang. 4 laps later I already cut .250 off my lap.

Yeah that last race we were in I was running purple sectors all the way through the split after the first banking and then it’s all downhill from there. Supra’s BoP is way off.

I think perhaps maybe why it’s interesting is because it’s quite a risky track. Which also unfortunately means you get stuff like your incident which robbed us of a go at each other.

I actually had one last night, entering the bus stop on the outside side by side. Bloke understeers from trying to be the last of the late brakers into me on the first left. Smallest nudge, sends me into the escape road that’s the ovals backstretch. Reset back to track and race over. Just from that.

Personal preference, but for these races I like to tune a car up rather than nerf one down to the power limit. The F12 feels wasted and a completely different animal if you have to take away 300 odd HP.

Yeah, I think that’s a good shout. I’ve been having great success just through driving consistently at 95% and relying on capitalizing on small mistakes from opponents. There are so many places where getting it a little bit wrong can cost you half a second or more.

I’m typically pretty good out of turn 1 and 5. It’s amazing how often this leads to opponents getting it wrong into turns 2 and the chicane.

Unfortunately I can’t seem to work the chicane out so my overall pace is letting me down a bit.

For Race A the Zagato VGT is fun and fairly competitive. With a race of practice my best lap in the race was 1:46.7. It can probably do 44s. Tomorrow I will tune some of the more obscure cars but really there are not too many that can enter that I haven't seen raced yet. This event makes me wish GT7 had drivetrain swaps, an FR engine swapped Delorean would be insane.
