Seems to be a 2016 FIA WEC-themed race.

The exception being the Nissan, although that was supposed to compete in the season but nobody foresaw that the hybrid tech for the car didn't actually exist, the replacement didn't fit or work, it would be slow without any battery/motor assistance, and the car would experience 100% failure and 33% being on fire rates, so it was withdrawn and canned after its one and only race.
I was there at Le Mans for its one and only race.
It was about as fast as the top LMP2 cars.
But they were awesome to watch and hear nonetheless, was great meeting the drivers too, and their team truck HQ thingy even had a helter-skelter so the pit crew could be quick lol

I was on the verge of becoming A rated, sportsmanship was S for a long time, I generally always take care in races, never crashed into anybody on purpose, always leave the space even if that means losing the position... And then this weeks Brands Hatch happened. Someone braked too soon into the first corner, i tapped them just a bit, and got a 5 second penalty. Next race, I made the slightest mistake and touched the gravel, of course I spun violently, came back on the track ghosted and unghosted just as somebody was driving through me, again got a penalty, and that was enough for the game to demote me to A sportmanship. And the lobby in B/A is a story of it's own. Crashing everywhere, people running you off the track for no reason, and after couple of races I just gave up, I'm now a 3/4 full bar B rated, and A sportsmanship and it seems like an endless loop...

Run a handful of races in last place to stay completely out of trouble and you'll be back up to SR S in no time. DR takes a small hit but it's a price worth paying. Might be easier to do it on race C rather than at Brands.

Man brands does my head in, I can qualy OK but in races I am either slow or in the shrubbery. Managed a 24.3 with the RSR but there is more in it, nothing else really got close other than the McLaren which is what I raced with. I went backwards but recovered back to 4th but yeah, guys up my tail all race.

I am absolutely USELESS through Graham Hill bend (the first left), I get absolutely MUGGED through there, I am so, so, so slow but any attempt to push harder is a spin or i fire off to the right. I have the exact same issue with the very similar left hander after Rivage at Spa.

Try the AMG GT3. I'm way faster with it than the Porsche

It's called the Yamagiwa syndrome. :D

Happened to me there, and again last week in, I've already forgotten where it was. I'm doing what @Fezzik recommended here, have managed to climb back from SR B to SR S again. My DR has indeed taken a hit, though, from close to A down to middle B. I guess that's the price you have to pay for competing in the "wrong" races.

Same here. My whole laptime always depends on how I get through Graham Hill. Works out maybe one of five times, which obviously isn't good enough.
The only car which I came close to my 911 laptime was the Jag. 1:24:3 with both, couple of hundreths behind you. But it's an animal, I won't dare to use it in a race.

Yeah, I managed to set a 1:23.8xx quali lap in Brands, so in this class it usually puts me in top 3 places at the start, so I would need to go to race C, without quali, thanks for the tip :)

You can also drive to the side of the track and stay off the throttle until everybody has passed you, if you can handle that emotionally. 😆 I can tell you: it hurts...🤣

Race C gives you way more sr points per race so if you're gonna hang at the back that's always the best choice.... except for this week.

I know it's not prime time or weekend, but I just got out of a daily race which only 9 players started, ranging DR from A+ to C... On PS4, America region.

PD gotta step up or else...

Yeah... Anything different about that one?
Even though it's one of my favorite cars in this game (even with it constantly wanting to kill me at 130R), most people don't seem to like it, so they stay away from it. F1500T-A races were already somewhat thin in GTS, but with the Daily Races split by console, it's even worse. More often than not I'm the only A+ driver in the field unless I purposely coordinate my playing time with friends. Even when I was starting from the back I was usually still in the lead by the end of Lap 2 at the latest, and then I accidentally set a qualifying time when I was practicing trying to not die at 130R and forgot to pause my lap. Now I'm on pole for every race by several seconds (again, unless I coordinate my game time with friends), and that's no fun for anyone participating.

Brands Hatch is like kryptonite to me. No matter how many laps I turn here, I cannot keep my car on track for the life of me. Even back to the GT Sport days I'd manage to run wide every race. I was using the Mustang as I have the most experience with that, but it seems to have way too much oversteer at this track. It could also be my total lack of proper throttle control, but I had an easier time with the RSR. My current qualifying time is 1:25.1XX which should be fine, but if I can't keep the car on track it it won't matter. I won't jump online for a race as I don't want to be a menace out there. I still run some practice laps and hopefully I can be ready for the next time it comes up in daily races.

You should race. You’ll be amazed how quickly you improve there.

Running wide at Brands is not generally going to cause any issues for other drivers. Just be careful rejoining.

And a little tip for the RSR; coasting in turns is your best friend. It rotates the car much better than throttle or brake.

I've had a really good couple of weeks on the Daily Races. I historically haven't spent that much time playing, and up until last week varied between high 'C' to low 'B' in terms of DR.

I enjoy Spa (apart from the final chicane), and with a half decent qualifying time managed to start getting some decent race results. I kept sticking at it and watched my DR just climb just into 'A' by the end of last week.

Brands Hatch is another favourite of mine (I've driven there in real life a few times) and I love the Gr3 cars. After dropping back to DR 'B' initially, I've now got a half decent pace (1:23.7xx Qualifying) and my DR rating shows half way along the 'A' bar now. Being in lobbies with people I often watch on Youtube is a bit disconcerting. Winning a couple of races in a lobby fully of 'A' rating drivers this week has been my GT7 highlight so far.

I'm sure normal service will resume next week!

Do dr points awarded per race vary between race b and c? I assume not, but honestly it should since C is longer typically and should be worth more.

Try the McLaren. It is slower than the Porsche but more stable on entry, for me the BB of the RSR is too much to the rear and she gets twitchy on turn in.

Yeah, the McLaren behaves like a 4WD with TC at max, even if you drive it without the TC. But as you say, slower than the RSR, at least for majority of people...

Let’s talk about the GT7 birthday experience…

My birthday is in exactly 1 week (October 20th) and a few days ago I was already wondering what reward I would get (never checked out info about it). I even thought about making a joke on this forum and posting that I would only expect a 5000 Cr. payout to not get my hopes up too high and not be disappointed. 😂 Well… it turns out PD did still managed to disappoint me in 2 ways!!!

1) I got my happy birthday thing 1 week to early… 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Well done PD! 🙄

2) I did get the Gr.4 Megane Trophy. I already have this car as you can see from the screenshot below. So as long as we can’t sell any cars, this is completely worthless and even worse than the 5,000 Cr. expectation. My goodness! 💩 💩 💩

If a Gr.4 car is what i was supposed to get, the least they could have done is run a dupe check on it for crying it out loud… Below is a list of all the Gr.4 cars i don’t own yet :

Alfa Romeo4C Gr.4
AMGSLS AMG Gr.4
Aston MartinV8 Vantage Gr.4
BMWM4 Gr.4
ChevroletCorvette C7 Gr.4
DodgeViper Gr.4
Ferrari458 Italia Gr.4
GenesisG70 GR4
HondaNSX Gr.4
HyundaiGenesis Gr.4
LexusRC F Gr.4
MazdaAtenza Gr.4
NissanGT-R Gr.4
NissanSilvia spec-R Aero (S15) Touring Car
PeugeotRCZ Gr.4
PorscheCayman GT4 Clubsport ‘16
SubaruWRX Gr.4
SuzukiSwift Sport Gr.4
VolkswagenScirocco Gr.4

The other 13 Gr.4 cars I already do own in the game.

So in conclusion, thanks a lot PD for a big fat nothing! 😠

Race A this week would be amazing fun if people could; a) control the car, b) not punt you off in every braking zone. Had maybe 2 good races in there out of 10 or 11 attempts.

Race B has been great fun though, I love Brands Hatch, the 911 feels great, had a couple of wins and set some good Race lap times as well. Very satisfying Race to hook up.

Haven't bothered with C, I suck at Interlagos and honestly the Gr.1 cars bore me.

Getting some reasonable results in the Lancer Evo.

It's nicely planted, albeit a bit slow during turn-in.

Unfortunately nothing can be done about other drivers who want you in the gravel if you decide to take a wide line into corners!

Back into DR B for the first time in a couple of years 🙄

They do this so you don't miss your birthday. Hardly think it's a thing to complain about lol. You get the notification a week either way of it, a lot of people go on holiday for example on or around their birthday, so this negates that.

You and I both know you'd be complaining if you spent the day out and as a result, didn't get a gift at all.

I don't think he is upset about the timing of it. I think he's upset because his gift was a car that he already owned, and a further slap in the face because selling it is not an option...

It’s my first week of being A rank. I still freak out a bit when I see myself in an all A lobby! Regardless, I can’t get my quali time down so I’m starting near the back. People are crazy back there and I’m getting killed just so they can have P12! My score is slowly going down, but I’m still A.

I’m disappointed that even in the A lobbies these drivers are pushing to pass, initiating contact to gain advantages, and flat-out shoving me off the track if I have the audacity to be where they want to be. I had such good luck at Autopolis last week, but I just can’t nail this track down enough to start at the front.

I fully expect to drop back down to B, and I’m not sure that will be bad for me. With a quali time stuck at 1:24.6xx I realize that I really shouldn’t be racing at this track this week. But I will continue because I’m learning a lot about the craft of racing even as I’m moving backwards in the field. I learned how to drive in tight traffic last week, and I’m hoping I can learn how to defend myself in traffic this week.

A guy can hope. . .
