Wow, thanks for the info! I assumed they took the replay feature out for the Ranking boards. It was much easier to view in GT Sport.
It doesn't feel very user friendly in GT7 🤦♂️
Alsace is probably my favorite track in the game, and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been a race B or C since the game came out. Disappointing..EDIT:
Why not go somewhere weird/interesting like Blue Moon Infield with GR.4 (except it'll be an alfa fest), or experiment with High Speed Ring (something fast, GR.2 or GR.1), Alscace can be interesting, run something there idc what.
what I do is either make a lobby with the race specs or do a custom race with BOP and specs. Then hang way back on the start and just run qualifying laps for a whileIIRC you could do practice time trials on any track and set your car for BOP in GTSport. Is that possible in GT7? I looked in vehicle settings and it did not look doable. Would be nice to do this ahead of next weeks' races..
Maybe a “how’s my driving?” Bumper sticker?I should have a "Student Driver" sign on my car. In fact, I think I'll go add one right now. And maybe a "Warning: Idiot Driving" sign.
You're the only one who's ever said this.Alsace is probably my favorite track in the game
I agree with him. It's a great track. You're the only one who's ever said this.
BABY ON BOARD and a little stick family.Maybe a “how’s my driving?” Bumper sticker?
Let’s hope so!So next week Daily C I think will have some great racing (it depends when the game update is release as this could be pulled for the new track (possibly))
Just done a few rough test laps just to see how things fair.
Cars tested, 155, WRX, Megane Trophy & BMW M4
Fuel - you get about 7.5 half laps of starting fuel.
Lap times on hard tyres doing short shift
155 - low 1.58.
WRX - high 1.57
M4 - mid 1.58
Megane - mid 1.58
Medium tyres no fuel saving
WRX - high 1.56
Pit time from entry to exit 25-30 seconds
From what I can gather short shifting I don’t think will give you enough fuel so you will have to race in different mix modes to save the extra 2/3 laps. Personally I think the fastest strat will be flat out, pit and swap tyres. Will do a test race tomorrow for this and find out
This is what I feared... another fuel saver in the WRX. After Catalunya and Nurb GP, a WRX fuel saver is exactly what we need!!!Daily C next week…. Not sure on this.
Race times in WRX
No pit fuel save - 19.56
Flat out with pit stop - 20.01
This was against 15 Ai cars too. When you factor in the drivers around you in a lobby - the pit stop your going to have to overtake car quickly. The no stop you need to be quick but also save fuel ever lap and you will be using the mix mode too around the lap.
I think for lower lobbies this will be some great racing. A+ drivers I think it’s a non stop.
I don't get it. Is it that hard to calculate a race where you HAVE to pit no matter what? This is what I feared... another fuel saver in the WRX. After Catalunya and Nurb GP, a WRX fuel saver is exactly what we need!!!
At least race B will be interes...... oh wait, Gr3 at RBR again.
Well, race A might be fu........... nope, a one make of white driving phone books.
Makes you think are PD testing Gr4s for a BOP update? This is what I feared... another fuel saver in the WRX. After Catalunya and Nurb GP, a WRX fuel saver is exactly what we need!!!

You don't even have to calculate it. Just make both tire compounds mandatory. Leave the fuel alone (meaning, 1x) and require two tire compounds (or make tire wear enough where you have to). I hate fuel saving races, only because I can't have teh fuel modifier up and the radar up at the same time. I wouldn't mind it otherwise, but PD being PD doesn't allow a full time radar which boggles my mind.I don't get it. Is it that hard to calculate a race where you HAVE to pit no matter what?
I remember a lot of people losing that race because of the narrow pit entry. It's really easy to enter too fast and go over the line for a penalty. It may be the toughest one in the game. You don't even have to calculate it. Just make both tire compounds mandatory. One of the most fun Dailys they ever did, IMO, was the Gr3 at the Glen, 10 laps, RM tires and enough wear you had to pit for new tires. It was an RM + RM Most would pit at the half way point but you could make it six laps if you tried, which made an undercut/overcut possible. I won two races pulling off an undercut; that was super exciting.
Not me I think, only tried the one race there and gave up after half a lap 😔😂We met in a race A yesterday, didn't we?
That was a very handy guide, thank you. Your tips for 11, 15 and 16 made the biggest difference to me. I've been running the Corvette all week, but have gone the best I've ever managed at Spa. Usually I'd be starting at the back, but now around P8-12 in A rooms and had a couple of poles and fastest laps in high B classes.Try turning on the line, and follow it religiously (as fast as you can). I tis not perfect but Spa is very line dependent. Other broad tips.........
Well, the driver with the name "Barney Da Dog" did not finish the race, as I realized in the chat afterwards. So... might have been you after all. 😉Not me I think, only tried the one race there and gave up after half a lap 😔😂
Ha ha - definitely was me then 😂 non tuned car was lacking a little paceWell, the driver with the name "Barney Da Dog" did not finish the race, as I realized in the chat afterwards. So... might have been you after all. 😉
Thanks. I’ll definitely be going flat out and pit for fuel. I hate fuel saving when you have to use a mix of fuel maps. Such a pointless thing to worry about in a 20’ race.So next week Daily C I think will have some great racing (it depends when the game update is release as this could be pulled for the new track (possibly))

No, all they would have to do is not start the race with a full fuel load. This would definitely open up more options during the race. And possibly allow for more cars to be competitive.I don't get it. Is it that hard to calculate a race where you HAVE to pit no matter what?
