Race B this week could be very good but for the OP of the GTR, I use the F-type so take slightly different lines and have slightly different braking points, but drivers using the meta don’t seem to bear this in mind at all, this makes me think some of the aggressiveness isn’t malicious.
You guys are spot on, except I still suspect maliciousness. I spent a half hour learning the Mustang and getting just as fast as my GTR time then I popped into this race. This is how they treat you when you are in the faster car.

Going to play devils advocate here, but I think you came up into them and spun yourself - not the other way around.

Granted they were drifting left slightly too, but you can see how much further away you are from the Alfa at the point of contact. Just a racing incident if anything.

I feel like the guy in P1 wasn't checking his radar for the first corner, and in the second incident the GTR was going straight, I'd say it wasn't intentional.

@nebuc and Deviln. I appreciate his/your perspective, but I was in front, and going straight. He was in my blind spot. If anyone needed to make an adjustment to avoid contact, it was him. He knows for a fact that we cannot go 3 wide into that chicane and I had the run on P1.

If it wasn't the same guy both times I might give him the benefit of the doubt.

May I add my own little review from race B? Yes? Fine.

Regression to the mean, you could say. The inevitable happened on my second account: I'm so close to DR A now that I didn't get an exclusive B/S lobby anymore. And so instead of 16 B/S drivers trying to drive as good and respectful as possible, it was the predictable stuff again. DR A rated drivers defending their ratings with tooth and claw, DR B rated drivers taking no prisoners in order to get up there.

I have a decent quali time of 1:53:2 on my second account, in the sevenhundreds, but still start only P3 sandwiched between three DR A drivers. P4 hits me with a wild divebomb in T1, but somehow there's some kind of lag issue and he gets pulled back and my car isn't shaken at all (the replay looked weird). But I am shaken myself, mess up the bus stop and what follows, and subsequentally get punted off track by another impatient driver. P15, not ready to rage-quit just yet, I make up some positions, but get a penalty while doing so for missing the allowed line in the bus stop for half a pixel (really, I was surprised). I was even more surprised to find out that due to the weird placement of the penalty area, a 0.5 sec. penalty costs me about 2.5 - 3.0 seconds actually. Which brought P13 back right behind me: It was the nice guy who had divebombed me in T1. Of course he did so again, this time in the final lap in the outer loop (?). For freaking P12! I was ready to retaliate, but not close enough at first. When I was close again, I had calmed down: not worth it to pay that much attention to an obvious imbecile.

All in all: business as usual again!🤣

T1 incident - I would say the GTR didn’t realise you was there. Looking at the line they for that corner and the way they drove, just looks like the normal racing line and the inputs looks normal too.

Bus stop incident - I can see the GTR is drifting back across the track slowly towards the left and that is what causes the spin. The GTR should have left a bit more space on left side. Need to see the steering inputs from the GTR to really say if that was deliberate or not.

I would class both of these as lack of awareness from the GTR.

Surprised on the reads on this, what qualifying line' is the red Nissan taking exactly? Total madness to think they can try and push it three wide into the bus stop and just smacks of forceful racing, similiar to turn 1 where they just turn in without care that a car is inside.

I just had a great race at My Panorama. Started P2 with a GTR in front of my AMG and another AMG behind me.
The 3 of us was soon ahead of the field. On lap 3 I passed P1 and put about 1.5 seconds between us.
Lap 6 I made a mistake and had a small off. Unfortunately my rejoin must have put me in the way of P2, we had a collision, he went into the pit and I pressed on , had planned to pit but was conscious of getting in his way.
I pitted on lap 7, came out just behind former P2, and tried to hang on and make a pass.
Last lap had a better run out of Griffin's, so went to pass on the outside, was 75% past when we came to the Cutting and unfortunately no one yields so I end up slightly in the wall and he is past me again. I followed as quickly as I could but couldn't get another chance to pass so P2 in the end.
At first I thought it was malicious to not yield when I was so much ahead but I chalk it up to adrenaline and last lap gusto.
If you are here redacted thanks for the good race
I hope to see you again to get another chance to pass you

Edit. Nope. Dirty

My first ever pole at Bathurst this evening! (Thanks @Tidgney for the guide, although I am using the AMG the tips are mostly transferable).

Started on Mediums, with a Dutchman in close attendance in his 911. I kept a comfortable 1-2 second lead for the whole first stint and he must have had a good in-lap because he stayed out for an extra lap and when he came out of the pits we were neck and neck coming into turn 2. Luckily I had the inside and I proceeded to re-establish the gap.

The final lap and I start talking about how one mistake will cost me the lead, and one messy mountain later he's 0.5s behind coming into The Chase. Then it happened.... I completely fudged the last corner and let him cruise past for the win.

A 21 minute race ruined in a matter of seconds.

Don't manifest the things you don't want to happen.

Yep, three wide into the bus stop is not good. But two wide is no problem 😆. See exhibit A:

(Witness 1: me in the G70, witness 2: a finnish driver in the GT-R)

Actually, that was the best lap of racing I ever had in GT7. It was the final lap, and I secured P3 in the end. Sadly the fin had left the chat before I could thank him for the awesome and respectful driving.

This was my first race B back in a pure B/S lobby again, after screwing up / been screwed up in three races with A/A and A/B drivers before. Like already said, it makes quite a difference. Even in the chat afterwards, everyone was calling out everyone...🤣

Oh, and once again, who had the glorious idea to put the penalty zone THERE? I punted a spaniard badly in the right hander (the heel?) because I missed my braking point when I tried to avoid two cars that were just materializing next to each other near the 200 board. Ruined his race, and mine, because six cars passed us while I waited for him. Thankfully he accepted my apologies afterwards.

Well. After having viewed the Replay I changed my mind.
I wasn't in his way on lap 6, he kept his foot down and hit me trying to take me out.
And the final incident was dirty as well
So if I see you again you are on my punt at sight list.....

Take a moment to enjoy:
  1. Me ruining my race, actually before the bus stop,
  2. But more importantly, some drivers - even ones at the bottom positions - can race cleanly and respectfully. Watch how these amazing people avoided my idiot self.

So much respect for people like this, no matter where they finish. Hey, who's kidding - everyone finished in front of me except someone who probably just set his controller down (sometimes nature calls).

So proud, but I'm firing that guy in my crew who's clapping.

At first I couldn’t see what P2 did wrong in the 1st of the two incidents but after re watching it a few times I noticed he has his steering lock aimed towards you. Yeah was clear they were trying to take you or just get damage to slow you down. With them pitting the damage would get fix for them in pits without losing time. Dirty move!

🤦‍♂️ haha I’ve been there, done that, got the badge! Such an easy but stupid error to make. Soon as you clip that grass under braking your just a passenger then

I think he's clapping because you made it back.

I want to like Watkins Glen. I want to be good on it. But I just can't get the logic of the track into my blood. Something just doesn't click with me. Been working on my qualifying lap for quite a while, and I'm still 2 seconds behind my (fast-but-not-aliens) friends, at 1:56:2xx. I did notice it helps to go easy on the brakes, seems I rarely if ever need to go 100% on them.

So, I only had time for a short practice session and 2 races at Watkins Glen this evening. I did reach my goal and got a 1:54.6XX time so that was a good sign I'm getting the track learned.

But, for race 1 I'm in P13 as I was in a room with mostly A drivers. On the opening lap, I get stuck behind 3 drivers going 3 wide into the esses and I backed off of that potential mess. They all survive somehow, and I get by 2 of them as they continue to fight. Not much else happened as I hit my lines and finish P9 with a clean race bonus. A solid effort by me I think.

Race 2 has me P7 this time and only a few A drivers this time. Race starts fine, but I get shoved out of the way by a driver who was doing it to everyone during the race. I cut way to much of turn 9 and get a one second penalty which is a new one for me. As I go to serve my penalty, Mr. Stick Their Nose In To Make A Pass does it again and shoves me aside to get by, only to serve a penalty as well they picked up earlier. Then my race gets ruined by someone who took the "Go Bowling" advertisements literally and tried to make a pass by diving between myself and the driver who shoved me in turn 8 who moved off the racing line for some reason. And of course I get the worst of it. So, needless to say I'm very upset and see if I can move up from P15. I do have a good run into the esses at one point and make a daring, or stupid, pass to gain a spot. I finish in a disappointing P11.

I'm liking this combo so far and hopefully I can creep toward a low 1:54.XXX with some more practice. I also hope the dive-bombers stay away from my lobbies tomorrow. I can't stand that kind of stuff. Such a cheap way to gain a spot.

Daily C - not raced yet at this track as I want to get back up to speed with the mountain. Did about 2 hours in TT and set a 2.02.3 lap. Again optimal is 2.01.xxx but can’t get a clean lap in. From what I’ve seen they are two possible strats 3/7 or 4/6. Hopefully will get a few races in today.
The Jag will do 2h/8m if you're smooth on tyres.

Fields at Bathurst are starting to gravitate towards only a few cars; Mostly GT-R and AMG in my races, but the Vantage, Mustang, Jag and Lexus have all been at the pointy end as well.

Unfortunately there was an A grade troll from Japan in the lobbies last night stinking it up with all kinds of filthy driving. If I get a chance later I'll post some video so everyone on the Asia servers is aware to avoid (or take pre-emptive action against) him.
