I need help with the Nurburgring TT with the Porsche Cayman. Haven't driven that car before and I'm finding it an understeering handful... In a couple tries I'm current 12% off the lead; not even close.

Any tips on how to handle this car? Currently I'm using the race provided car, but if I were to buy one, given the BoP, is there any "tuning" through GT Auto I can do with aerodynamics to help this given that BoP appears to override everything?

EDIT: After watching TheKie25's video on this track I've worked my way up to 1:18 ish, currently +5.7% off the pace. Better but a still a long way to go. I'm beginning to get to grips with the car.

@NevilleNobody I tried the Z4 and lowered my QT by 3 seconds. Previous was on hards. Then jumped in the AMG and beat that.

I think Daily C on next week has a trap.
Rain?
Or maybe there will be a gr.4 bop change with the update if it comes next week, and they're doing a straight forward race to let people test it out/gather data on it.

Either option will be alright, but probably more likely it's actually option 3: just a boring race.

The desperation of this guy trying to crash me, lol. This is bizarre. The offense? Being a better driver of course. I hadn’t even been close to touching his car in any race at all. Moments like this you wish you had a button you could press which would break a bone in his hand and/or foot.

nvm the WT guys messing about in T1, they do that every once in a while...

There is no tuning of any kind in BoP events.

While I do like Leguna Seca, I'll probably not race next week for a mental break from the game. I do need to start the new Pokemon game despite all the flaws I've been reading about.

I usually have my Spotify liked songs on shuffle. When this came on for a Daily Race I thought “This has to be a good omen?”

It was. I won. Viva Rob Zombie!

Yeah Rob Zombie! Saw him in concert a bunch over the years. A few times with Marylin Manson (not my favorite) as a an opener. And I think he opened for Alice Cooper once. One of the tours was called the Gruesome Twosome Tour and it was awesome every time I saw him.

Been working on race b alot that seems to be my best race, and many cars work for me, even the Corvette was beating the Alfas behind me and lap times were consistent, what I can't figure out is how come if I use the same car twice, one race I'm passing people and able to finish top 5, then next race I'm barely able to hang onto the top 10 and not able to be consistent.....it's like the car or nature of the race just changes randomly...

I've been trying a bunch of different cars at race B.
For the first time, I just entered the race with the NSX.
What an absolute joy to drive! 😍
It's not the fastest car, but it drives like a dream. No oversteer. No understeer. It doesn't do any weird, unpredictable stuff.
I started 16th, and finished 8th.
It probably won't win any races, but it's a nice drive.

For anyone else who doesn't mind driving a non-meta car, give it a try. 👍

I've been enjoying the McClaren 650S Gr.4 in race B around Atlanta. Again, not the fastest, but consistent and nice handling. It also allowed me to make up a lot of places from the back of the grid by nailing every corner, until a battle scared Huracan wracked me in the rear (at this point I was untouched) and punted me into a gravel trap second to last lap, last night, ruining my race... 👿

So race c... GTR yeah? Or does something else have higher top speed
There are cars with higher top end than the GT-R, but it takes them so long to get there that there's literally never a straight long enough for them to use it...until maybe this race. The GT-R will be quicker literally everywhere else in the lap though (including the first 1/3 of the Mulsanne straight or so), so there's a good chance it'll still be the META.

Why the heck is this a penalty?
I only put 2 tires over the white line. Is the pit exit lane off limits? Is it a mistake by the developers?

Yes, Pit Exit is a penalty. I think it's because the game doesn't know whether or not you're exiting the pits or you're on a lap and instead of trying to determine that it just gives you the "crossed pit entry/exit" penalty instead.

It does matter. There is no fun if you are basically racing alone at the back. But when you have 3-5 others you are fighting with, even if it is for P10, then that is fine.
Yeah about what I said, I can barely even break 1.56 at Nurburgring GP. Absolutely horrible pace for someone that is high A DR, never understood how to drive properly here. Well I can understand but it goes against my nature of driving style, which is throttle happy (I like to go on throttle pretty early), so I am unable to drive how you should. So I would definitely start from the back. I am usually around position 1500-2500 in quali leaderboards, now outside of top 4500 that is how bad it is.

So no race C for me and maybe also no manufacturers race next week either. Well that was an hour wasted for nothing in qualifying, I knew this track and car combo sucks for me, but I didn't think it would be this bad 🥶

Race A looks like some fun, if you avoid the carnage. Gonna focus on that since I don't like where gr4 is right now in dailies, when everyone is on 4wd meta it seems. It tends to be plenty better in manufacturer races though, where there is more variety.

my favorite part of NGP is when it turns onto the Nordschleife and you get to experience a good race circuit for 6 minutes or so
