I kinda wonder why they're doing back to back GR.3 at Dragon Trail. Yes different layout but still.. makes me wonder if they're deep into BOP testing or something
That would be nice but it's probably because they're lazy.

Though I have to say B and C are two of their better original tracks, and not in reverse which makes a nice change, with Race B at 7 laps not insignificant race length wise either at around 1:25 a lap.

10 laps of the CoD with tire wear is pretty damn funny though congrats who thought that one up.

I'm begging for a little help here.

I'm trying desperately to raise my QT at daily race B, so I can move up some spots in the lobbies. I've been trying other cars, just for QT, and I've done my best by far with the 911, but I can never put 3 good sections together at one time. If I manage to do it, though, I could gain .3 seconds at least.

My biggest problem is, and has always been, exiting the chicane. I've watched replays. I've tried to duplicate what they do, but I must have a fundamental misunderstanding of how a car reacts going through the corners. I must be taking the left-hand corner wrong. It puts me to far to the right, which means I can't get enough speed out of the right-hand turn leading to the final turn.

I don't know if anyone can explain the physics to me, but if you can, I'd really appreciate it.

I assume you mean reset it at the start of each section, right? It's broken in GT7. Every once in a while it'll work, but then it quits working again. I understand why PD is focusing their efforts on other more obvious problems with the game, but I've got to believe that if they allowed a developer a couple of hours, they could probably fix it. But I'm guessing there aren't a lot of people who even know about this option, so the bug isn't really affecting many people.

But man I wish they would fix it!!
Ah that explains it, I thought it worked occasionally, this confused me ha.
That chicane, well to me it was the porsche handling, it took me ages to get used to it.

Just uploaded my DailyB ghost following @GrumpyOldMan instructions.
It's a very low 28 with Alfa

Couple of advise
1) I was just proving the concept
2) my ghost will disappear from your view quite quickly, you poor drivers. Please check for it in the rear mirror ;)
3) 2... kidding... just in case it was not clear enough
4) it's probably the one and only time where i can daily race on Mon. Another plus of staying awak for the superbowl and taking a day off

I’ve been saying this same thing for months. I’ve given up hoping that they’re collecting data because I think they’re actively driving people (like me) away out of boredom, resulting in fewer data to collect. I want to play more, but this week is a perfect example of why I won’t. 🥺

Every week is a preference. I am happy to have seaside configuration this week. I very much enjoy the track. Anyone who thinks track selection is driving away the 86% of the players who never touch online is allowing their bias to cloud their vision heh. Think about it like this, the death chicane provides ample opportunity to increase DR for free (consistent laps vs fast).

On another topic, can someone please explain to me how brake bias is a part of the BOP? I'm trying to think of the logic PD use to exclude this setting from BOP races but all I can come up with is "it's sold in the store". Like they were too lazy to have a separate list for things that can be changed in BOP and things that can't that are sold in the store, so they just removed it all lol. Allowing brake bias to be changed could bring some cars into contention and wouldn't require a BOP balance update.

With the aim to understand how tho handle the situation, should I have been dove simething different?
My breaking point is at the beginning of the sand in regular laps

Just racing incident unfortunately. Could say car behind should have anticipated and broke earlier given the traffic in the corner, but that's also a lot of traffic and things to think about at once...

I wouldn't get too down about it, happens.

Can someone explain the nuances of driving a FF car? I want to try the TT in Daily Race B, and I like it, but it obviously drives differently than a 4WD or RWD. So what should I be aware of?

With the steering and the power coming at the front wheels, there's got to be compromises. But also, I would think that the FF could be better at "pulling" itself around corners?

I'd appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Typically, with FF you are correct in that it can help pull itself out of turns. But, they really like proper trail braking to help the rotation as much as possible and can often suffer from understeer.

For FF cars, you just need to remember that the weight sits over the driving wheels. Therefore they will understeer whenever their weight is neutral or shifted forward e.g. under heavy braking.

However, they will have comparatively good turn-in at the start of hard acceleration as the weight shifts to the back. You can use this to rotate the car by getting on the throttle slightly earlier than you would normally expect. But beware, because they transition to understeer quite quickly.

Been running race C since it came up I've found the Aston V8 hold up really well. one put up a pair of B2B wins and several top 5s I'm running 6 laps on hards 4 on med. was able to quality with a 1:38.485 moving 2 AMG 4 a few races see how it does.

I love the use of 'Haven't got a scooby'

Our Friends over the pond, or pretty much anywhere away from Britain will most likely not get it.

It's a phrase I use a lot!
I grew up and lived in Britain for 30 years and I still didn't get it. Thought it was something related to not having a Subaru :D. Thankfully, Urban Dictionary corrected me...

I'm sure it's been posted in the appropriate thread already, but I'd just like to point out that there are no less than 4 of the 7 eligible cars from the last-but-one Daily Race C currently available in the UCD 🤣
definitely have to go stock up on the cheap. just made DR-B might try race C out. thanks 4 heads up🤘

100%. Honestly, with all the things people complain about on GT7, no brake bias in BOP is the one thing that drives me crazy. It is such a simple way to tailor a car to your driving preference. It would absolutely introduce more diversity, there are sooo many cars I don't choose simply because I cant stand a car that is loose under braking.

Ran a C, started P7 with a 1:37.9, promptly smacked into the Chicane of Death™ on lap 1 and got 3½ seconds penalty on top of being DFL.
Kept marching on and people started pitting around lap 5. I keep going to lap 7 before I go in for new hards.
I finished P6 in the end.
Here's a look at my mediums at the end of lap 7
