I'm thinking they cope by employing someone to carry their walletAnd that is racing to be quite honest.
How do real world mid pack racers cope when they only get 10-15 chances for a whole year...

And there is the irony when you get quite a few goes in the dayAsk most of the F1 grid
It can be a bit demorolising. I can go weeks on end barely getting a sniff of a podium and surrounded by A+ guys and high A drivers. I don't have any desire to win every race but 50 races in a row with no podium despite being "quickish" in the grand scheme of things can be tough. In saying that, I just live it or nudge a wall or two to drop my SR a bit.
Anyone who gets their DR to A deserves to consider themselves an A level driver, not a fraud. It’s easy to forget that the “A” DR rating hides a 20k range of ratings. If you’re at 30k the gap between some of the A’s you’re racing and you is as big as the gap from you to someone who’s just gotten out of C for the first time. Never mind that A+ is then another 50k range on top of that. There's always someone in the same struggle but up or down a peg. "Intermediate" in any hobby is a desert where it seems you spend months or even years seemingly not making progress. But you do albeit small.
I'm kinda "stuck" in that 3k-5k rank of drivers every week where I just dont know where else to find time on these tracks. Top of B is where I'm at and not sure how to get into a solid A rank. I've been close but I'd just be a fraud A at the moment.
Well, it depends. For me it has always been jumping between high B and low A, so i consider myself just that: A/B. The only reason why my progress bar is above middle A right now is because I "artificially", but not purposefully, bumped it up with the Sileighty races at Suzuka, just because I was not bad there and had lots of fun. So, right now I experience the "fraud" feeling whenever I jump into a different daily race ...😆Anyone who gets their DR to A deserves to consider themselves an A level driver, not a fraud.
But this is exactly my point. Your bump wasn’t artificial. Like everyone, some combos suit you more than others, but you’re not a fraud. You’re just incorrectly assuming that no-one else does the same. I can assure you they do.Well, it depends. Thanks mate. I try to see it realistically (and not taking it too seriously), and there's just a noticable gap between my qualifying performance and my race performance. In qualifying I sometimes take a lot of time figuring everything out and getting the "feel" for the track. In the races is where I have to react and improvise and often **** my pants when something happens. But this is exactly my point. Your bump wasn’t artificial. And I’ve seen your Q times. You’re a genuine A level driver. In many cases your times in road cars are A+ standard.
So I'm not the only one? Good to know! Thanks mate. I'm in front here, could I have done everything differently at all? In cockpit view it felt like I had been assaulted but in the replay I'm a bit more torn whether it was avoidable or not.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't be allowed - people (including me) post links to videos all the time. Of course, I'm not a moderator, so I'm not the final word on the subject by any means.I’m not sure if a post like this is allowed. If not, please let me know.

#brownpantsracingSo I'm not the only one? Good to know!
That kind of thing happens to me all the time! It's like I suddenly forget how to drive certain sections, yet still manage to improve my time. I keep thinking one of these days I'll get it all together at once. The funny thing is I seem to have forgotten how to traverse the sweeping opening section after Turn 1, so my new lap-time is hilariously suboptimal.
In those rare (and I mean rare..lol) times when I have a chance for a win, I manage to mess it up in some peculiar way. Thanks mate. I'm getting slowly better at that, so all is not lost...😆
And yeah, the road cars. The slower the car, the faster I drive.
Somehow managed to shave 2 tenths off my Mustang/TM quali, now sitting at a half decent 58.6. The funny thing is I seem to have forgotten how to traverse the sweeping opening section after Turn 1, so my new lap-time is hilariously suboptimal.
Still I'm in a good place in terms of gaming enjoyment right now, DR is probably slightly inflated but once things click with these daily combos I'm consistently having fun races.
Isn't that what it's all about?
Thank you for your answer. You don’t sound as grumpy as you might think haha!I don't see any reason it wouldn't be allowed - people (including me) post links to videos all the time. Of course, I'm not a moderator, so I'm not the final word on the subject by any means.
With that said, and this is just my personal opinion, so please ignore it if you want: If you want people to offer advice on what you can improve, it might be better to post short videos with specific things you'd like help with. For instance "How could I have handled this situation better?" Or "What can I do to be faster through these turns?" I don't know how many people would be willing to watch a 19 minute video to just critique your driving. Again, I could be dead wrong, so take this with a grain of salt.

I totally get that. Thank you for the clarification. It won’t happen again. You've been a member for almost six months and have nearly 600 posts (mostly in this thread). A new member who is not engaged with this community trying to promote their YouTube channel here wouldn't be allowed.
As a 16th post from a member who's been here under a week... well, it's a lot closer to the latter than the former, especially given the last sentence above - and it would have been better received to ask before posting it. Forgiveness is not easier to ask for than permission...
The fact your account is not on fire right now can be taken as a good sign. Or at least not a bad sign.I totally get that. Thank you for the clarification. It won’t happen again.
It's because we're too busy dealing with our brown pants to notice . . .I really don't understand why all the furballs I am coughing up in the process don't distract the drivers behind me...
OK, that makes sense to me. Thanks for the clarification. You've been a member for almost six months and have nearly 600 posts (mostly in this thread). A new member who is not engaged with this community trying to promote their YouTube channel here wouldn't be allowed.
