Last to 7th not a bad first attempt at race B. Only did one quali lap in the McLaren (doing some GTWS research for next season) but race pace was ok.

Does anyone else think that Daily Race B's Interlagos is especially slippery? I mean, I know the tires are cold and the cars weigh more because of a full tank, but I'm having a heck of a time getting used to the sliding. In the two races I've done today, I slid right out of T1, and I'm running full assists. I'm using the RX Vision, which isn't glued to the track at the best of times, but this seems especially bad.

I'm going to try some other cars, but I'd like to know if anyone else has noticed this, or if I've just forgotten what an actual race feels like, since I've been running so many Q laps.
I've just been trying the B race with rarely used cars. First race was with the Z4, and second was with the Skyline Super Silhouette.
I'm about to join the next race, but don't know what I'll pick. 🤔
Having fun

I wasn't passing judgement, it was just that we discussed win ratio and you where the only one I could remember public telling you lowered your DR.
Nothing snide or judgemental about it from me.
I wasn't actually worried about you - I was worried it could start rumors!
I am still interested in hearing what your win percent is. That's why I asked how many races you do a week

And let's see, I don't actually remember when I started Dailies. I got the PS trophy "In depth-mastery" on July 24 last year, and that's 50 races in Sport Mode. So it's probably been about 9 months.
You should have simply addressed it to me. I’d have payed you for it!
Not sure if you were serious or not, but I didn't have to pay shipping for it, and I got a full refund, so there really isn't an upside to you buying it from me.
I realise we always want more grip but man, the hard is joyless.
Totally agree. And as far as I can tell, we've only raced on RS's twice in Daily Race B.
yep,it does feel a bit more slippy than usual and the racing hards don`t help-But,unlike most here i love racing hards-bring on the power slides!!
Hey, I can power slide unintentionally all the time - I don't need any help from the track!

Tried the 86 no-stopper in C. Finished with 0% so I guess I did it right. Picked up a few places as almost everyone else was stopping in the TT. A bit boring to be honest. Flat out is much more fun, and faster at my skill level.
I still can't complete a competitive no stopper. My first race today I tried it with the 86 and instantly regretted it since I started P2. Usually I'm a few more back. Finished at P5 with 0.0.

So the next race I was hoping I would be in the same type of lobby and it was mostly A's. They did do the no stopper competitively and I did a 2 stopper.

Going flat out and short shifting I was only able to do high 2:08 low 2:09 laps. I can do low 2:06's in the TT.

I do find turn 2 slippery in that it is down hill and off camber but overall I am not used to the track in any other condition really, so I learned it with what I found worked. 911RSR all the way for this circuit. In the DR B races I've been in, while the field might have varied car list to begin, most top 6 finishers have been in the Porsche.

I tried other cars and yes, found it a bit too "slippery". The AWD of the Porsche seems to tame it somewhat. Oh I drive with no traction/driver aids on.

Lago is great this week if you need to rebuild your SR. Basically no track limits and the race generally spaces out on the first lap, 10 laps to run nice and smooth and rack up those points again.
My SR begs to differ, as do most of the folks I am “racing” with! :boggled:

Stuck with race A so far this week, and it's every bit as fun as I imagined, whilst less chaotic than one might expect. Rane one race on Monday from the back with no time set, just to get a feel for things. Felt odd initially on Racing Hards, having been used to running the RA272 on Sports Softs, which it performs better personally.

With that said, you can still have fun on Racing Hards, even if they feel too grippy. Of the half a dozen or so races I've done, only two suffered from the usual T1 Monza shenanigans. Surviving both occasions (sort of), though on one I ended up with rear damage causing the car to pull to the right, which made braking for Della Roggia interesting...

Overall, some really good racing can be had, and any contact tends not to be malicous. Had two especially good races yesterday, where several us ended up in a draft train on a number of occasions right to the finish. With one of those coming down to a run to the line, going side-by-side on the last lap through Parabolica after a great clean battle with reubsz (RubixCube) for 2nd. A name I've seen a few times in dailies  (not sure if I've seen it here too?).

Did try one race C tonight, using my more favoured Scirocco, and could only be described as a dull and depressing experience :indiff:. Tried the no-stop, but became thoroughly disinterested as it wore on, to the point I eventually parked it in the pits on lap 8 until the end. Can't even remember what position I was in, though it matters not as I won't be bothering again. Good job I find DR to be irrelevant to me really .

Yep, the 911 is technically a MR but the engine still sits further back so rear end is planted. I've had my humble 09 carrerra S for a year and still can't get used to the grip at the back end, it's a really odd driving experience.

A two-stopper?

Unless I’m way off base, I don’t think there are any Gr3 cars that are AWD. It’s MR and rotates like a top, but still driven only by the rear wheels.

which Gr3 Porsche is AWD...? 🤷‍♂️

Well I learned something. For some reason I thought it was AWD, hence the grip.

Your win percent looks normal for a fast driver that focus on QT.

I have seen some dicey win percents. There where an infamous driver in GTS that wrecked and rammed everyone to get dropped to the low lobbies to seal club.
I have raced him a few times and it's been a wild ride every time.
On the last occasion he took out 3 or 4 drivers in front of me so when we came to the big hairpin at Maggiore I put him all the way into the wall and he quit.
After the race he sent me this.

I guess he wanted to show me that he was better than me?

nah, just add damage that needs a pitstop to fix..
I can see that now... We're on Núrburgring, lap one, before Flugplatz and a troll wrecks half the field just because he can. They have to limp for 20 km while the troll just leaves.

Permanent damage belong in simulators, if it was in GT I think half the runners would leave it.
I know a few people that run lobbies with damage hard and there's not many participants.

Give the Huracan a try. It's the most used car for this track, and if you check the topspots on QT time, you will see most of them are driving the Huracan.

The Lambo is borderline suicidal for actual racing, both unstable and easily pushed around by any other car. I haven't seen a single one in >A lobbies for race B (in streams), they just use it for qualy.

The gr4 version isn't unstable but it's still going to be on the losing end of every contact, just doesn't play well with the matchmaking being a full blown contact sport at this point.

Yes, probably. I personally don't pay attention to trophies, I have no idea which one I have or haven't but they are very important to some people
I have mixed feeling about trophies. GT7 was a right degree of challenge for my level and went for it.
I recall when I read the GTS ones, particulaty the online wins and poles. I was kind of stunned about how difficult it wuold be for the average player.

However shame on the top rated drivers who come down to the dogyard to provoke caos or get easy wins at the expenses of poor people struggling to figure out how to improve their skills and ratings

For the life of me, every single time, I forget how to post a replay. I have one saved in the GT7 gallery, but how to I send it to YouTube? I’ve done it before, but it’s so mind-numbingly unintuitive that I can’t remember. Can someone help?

You should be able to share/export the video from Showcase to the saved photos/clips app on the PS home screen, then upload it from there to Youtube. The exact process may differ depending on your system (PS4 or PS5).

As others have pointed out, the 911 isn't AWD. With that said, I just started using it and it is indeed much more stable around the track during the race. And in the second QT lap I took with it, I improved my best time, so I can't complain.

I had never really thought much about win percentage until recently, when people mentioned doing a lot of races with very few wins. I guess I just like to spend time learning the track with Q laps before I embarrass myself too badly during an actual race. I hate making the kinds of mistakes that ruin other people's races. It still happens of course, but I hate it.

I also hate being the slow one out in front, causing a backup behind me because I can't take some of the corners at a decent speed. Even IRL I don't want to be holding people up. I mean, in the races I understand I'll rarely be the fastest driver, and it's OK if people pass me. I just don't want to be the guy that everyone behind is saying "pull over dude - you're holding the rest of us up!"

It seems to me that just because a car is fast in Qualifying, it doesn't necessarily mean I can drive it well during an actual race. But I definitely do look at the leaderboard regularly to see if anyone has discovered a sleeper.

Yeah, I don't pay much attention to them either. The only time I do is if I'm playing a game that I really like, and have beaten it a few times but still want a challenge.

Yeah, that can always be an issue. Although a lot of the time when I've seen this, it's just in passing as they go by me like I'm driving a 4-cylinder. Like the guys that skip qualifying and start at the rear, and end up with a podium. It's honestly like they use softer tires than the rest of us, which is fine if they don't cause accidents (which admittedly the good ones don't usually do).

Oh, yes, I was half kidding. If someone races fair I don't mind how faster then me he is and I don't mind having him in the same lobby. Actually it is intersting seeing on your own skin how they can handle the car going around you.
What I don't like is when and A driver running from behind is expecting me to have similar routes, brake and gas references and ram me just because I'm at my 100% which is his 80% maybe.
The same applies to D drivers under cover. I had a race with a guy who was staring in mid group (I notices him because I liked his car during the prerace showdown). At race start he on purpose moved away to end up at the bottom spot, then started overtaking like hell reached me and passed me with couple of secs penalty on his head and getting a +1s bumping me. I don't recall my position there, but I was probably about 8th. Some time later he was top six. Then I saw his car parked in the grass, he ended up in the bottom again and restared from scratch with crazy overtakes reaching me again.
Both I call disrespectful, assuming respect for others is still a value

It still has value!

But unfortunately there's even a few very well known streamers that do what you describe, drive through the field with absolutely no respect, often in another region, and then has the audacity to complain about the driving standards in said region.
And egged on by the stream audience that glorifies his every movement as if he was the racing god personified.

I can't name and shame but I am sure many know who I am talking about.

And that behaviour is like throwing a stone in water, it spreads to so many others.

I do love seeing someone really fast and respectful, like Womble or Tidgney working their way up through a field, I learn a lot from that.

The other behaviour only teach me how to be hit

Yeah, that might be it. I haven't tried out the Huracan before on Interlagos, but i noticed that most people picked that car for their QT time. I will try it out tonight if I get the chance.

The key here, or one of the keys anyway is respect. If you're starting at the back you need to accommodate for slower drivers and the unpredictable moves they might make. Always good to apologise when you make mistakes too.
