have you tried being faster? I know I last said to slow down but I meant in qualifying so I can catch you not in races!

Now you tell me!
My teasing is all in good fun
Absolutely no problem. That kind of banter is what my family is known for.
oh boo hoo, you know how much I’d love to be on pole?
After I clicked the post button, I realized I might not get a lot of sympathy...

It's garbage, the downhill, reducing radius esses are horrible.
After giving it a little go, I find that the left hander after the COD is the worst. I got used to thwe rest pretty quick, but fear I still won't be quick enough for it
that is literally my favorite part of seaside reversed. might even be the only enjoyable part even :D

of course my opinion is that all the layouts of both seasides are garbage and should be deleted from the source code.
I LOVE Seaside normal. Once I figured out how to get through the COD, it was easy money. It is literally one of my most consistent races. But then again, I also like Monza with the chicane. Don't mind me.

HARD disagree. Seaside is magnificent, just the COD that ruins it. The last corner is a masterpiece, fantastic racing. I'd remove COD and add either a normal chicane. Or reshape it so there's less walls but just time penalties for riding kerbs too hard.

I just find it to be incredibly mid...

Like if I want a chicane I'll die on Monza has that. If I want awesome esses on a hill I'll drive Suzuka. Long sweeping corners into straights? Spa.
Long straights into tight right left sequences? Spa again. For me Seaside and Dragon Trail combine sectors/sections of really fantastic circuits but doesn't combine them in a way that flows well. I feel like (aside from the esses in either direction) that both circuits lurch from "event" to "event" whether that event is a braking zone or chicane or some other "hey here's a thing deal with it" and that as a full circuit it just doesn't mesh the sectors together well.

It's great for a video game but as far as an enjoyable racing experience yeah I find them both lacking

I'm really glad you enjoy it though!

Man, Race C is a ton of fun. I thought I'd be all over B but I probably spent an hour or so setting laptimes - gave C a try and I haven't stopped racing it since.

Deep Forest Reverse is an absolutely incredible track, the infield section flows just as well backwards as it does forwards. The run up to the hairpin (and the hairpin) spoils it a bit though, it feels pretty random as to how your car is going to go into it, and if it's going to let you come out in one piece.

Had an absolutely crazy race earlier where literally half the field were racing in a pack together for a few laps. I've never seen anything like it before (at least not without everyone killing eachother). Some of the most fun I've had in this game.

Photos look like they're taken on lap 1 - but these were both towards the middle and end of the race; it was just that close.

Oh no... next weeks race A... will they get up that hill..... Chaos!!!!!!
I’m going to try to sneak in with my Porsche motor!
Dragon Trail is the Nissan Sylvia of Daily Races lol. PD loves giving us that one. Week after is gonna be Dragon Trail Gardens Upside Down.
Unless it’s a return to Lake Maggiore: Dark Side of the Moon circuit . . .

3 much better races at Spa this evening. Some door banging, but nothing too aggressive that it ruined anything. I didn't even bother to try and improve my qualifying time as I wanted to jump straight to racing action.

Race 1 has me in P5 with @D Quick in the lobby. Who I hit on accident in the bus stop and I make a traffic jam situation with people bouncing off of each other. I got some damage and was eaten alive heading up to Eau Rouge and Raidillon. Nothing else of note happens and I finish P9. Not the best, but the good racing made up for it. I get back to SR S and am very happy about.

Race 2 has me in P4 to start and I get passed in the bus stop at the end of the opening lap in the cleanest way possible and I'm not even mad it happened. I left myself wide open and they took advantage. I take P4 back after some contact exiting the bus stop. It was just enough to get them unsettled and not lose control. I defend P4 until the final lap where they catch up and get ahead of me before Blanchimont, and I back out as I don't think we would have survived that turn with the overlap they had. Plus, it pays them back for my bump so I had no problem conceding that spot. I finish in P5 and this race alone makes up for yesterday's disaster.

Race 3 has me in P3. P1 and P2 break away from the field with me for a 3 car race for the opening lap. P2 bins it exiting Speakers Corner (or whatever it is) and I see if I can't catch P1. But, I get airborne as I hit a pylon entering Les Combes and I have a terrible feeling. Fortunately I land just fine and cruise to a P2 finish.

So, a much better night of racing as compared to yesterday. I'll do a few more tomorrow and then be done. I'm loving this combo so far and I forgot how much fun Gr.2 cars are.

I sent some friend requests out finally and I know missed a bunch of you. I was unsure if it was actually members here with similar names within the results list. It was kind of confusing. My apologies if I didn't send you one. Feel free to send me one. Turns out, I had them turned off and never knew they were off if you tried before.

I've really enjoyed Race B this week, and combined with my relatively decent performance in the Suzuka race last week, I'm now on the fringes of an A+ DR rating, which I never thought would happen. I've had a few less savoury interactions, but overall B has been great fun. Not even bothered to look at the other races this week, what with race A being unranked and km not a huge fan of the reverse layout of Deep Forest.

Thanks to my higher rating, I've been racing against a lot of new names, and the racecraft has tended to be of a better quality too, which I appreciate a lot.

Well it was bound to happen eventually. Had the VR give me the can't detect surroundings error during a race. @CmdrParabolus (didnt say hey btw!) probably flew by me wondering why I was sideways 😂

Happened right at the end of the esses at Deep Forest and next thing I knew it kicked back on and I went into the side wall. Race over. Bummer because I really like racing with this thing but man does it make me nervous with how random this error pops up.

Mixed night, thr clk really causes so much mayhem. My SR must be low B as they put me in a B room and I won but otherwise, clk backs the field up and boom, chaos.

Last race for the week, I start p8, tough room, really tough with lots of A+. P9 gets an awful start so I am entering turn 4 calmly just watching the gaggle in front and can I take advantage of the mayhem? So i am being very conservative and clip the kerb on the right at malmedy and it absolutely LAUNCHES me like 5 ft in the air.

I'm now stone motherless, I catch this fellow, size him up for a lap then I push. We have a great told ding dong with hard but totally 100pc fair racing. It was a good way to end a week of really bad driving so kudos to this man.

Tried a few Race B's tonight, a little rough being a CLK driver. My pace is pretty good at 2:04.3, but the GT500 drivers seem to just block me on the straights and run into the back of me in the corners. I got a little frustrated in one race and took a GT-R two wide into Eau Rogue, it didn't end well.

Wow. I normally dislike negative discussion about how bad the daily races will be... next week is gross. What a great week we had this week... and then Dragon Trail again? Dragon Trail is great except when its forced down your throat every week like a chemistry exam. How disappointing. What a great week of racing so far and now....?

I tried some more QT for Spa but I wasn’t on form with my QT being about a second slower than yesterday. I still decided to jump on the race though just to see what would happen. I qualify in fourth but get up to second at La Source and get the tow to pass P1 on Kemmel. My heart races as I lead the field. At the chicane P2 gets on the inside and I have to defer and slip back to P2. That’s where I stay for the rest of the race. Nice result coming in P2 but I need to learn to defend slow corners more.

Couldn’t handle any more race B after that so I thought I would try to qualify for Race C. Nope! Still don’t like it, so I went to race A. Had an incident on the first corner and that race was done. I tried to catch up, but after two laps, I just quit.

After that I went back and throught I’d try another race B.

Q4 start and up to P2 by Speakers Corner after P2/3 and a coming together. Stayed in P2 for a lap until
This happened.

Under pressure from P3 I try to carry more speed and a tighter line through Double Gauche but clip the inside curb that bounces me wide. Trying to hold it P3 and I collide and I’m sent to outer space.

This puts me to p10. Entering chicane I get bumped a couple times and I spun out. Now dropped a P13, second to last. In the end I finish P11. Not great. The only consolation from this race is that my defense going into tight corners, eg Les Combes, was much better on this race.

I call it quit for the night.

Man that qualifying is tough for Race B, just cannot find enough pace. I managed a 2.04.827 in the 2016 RC-F, which is not quite fast enough for a above mid A DR driver. I think I lack close to 1 sec for a good quali position. I felt like the GT-R is maybe 2 tenths faster than RC-F, but struggled stringing a lap together. Trying to improve quali time a bit more, before doing my first races of the week. I maybe try the 08 Super GT cars, just to see what they can do. CLK-LM felt too slow in corners in my hands.

Perhaps giving C a go too. Especially considering next week seems a bit boring 🥱 Seen race B & C combos way too often. Will have to see, if I can drive a MR car at Deep Forest, that hairpin is a MR killer with the too sensitive weight transfer physics 🤔

I can guarantee you that P2 is usually the most agressive, punt-happy **** on the grid. How do I know? 😆

Indeed, you had them turned off... I tried twice, but...😆

Been unable to get any time on GT7 since the start of the week. Bloody hell those times have dropped at Spa. Good work to all of you. Looking forward to getting some time on the game and see if I can get anywhere close!.

For next week...Brands, Gr4 I'm all over that. Shame there is no Mondeo, Laguna et al in the game as its pure BTCC!!. Spent many Sundays there in the 90's.

Went from 12th to 4th in Race B, finishing 4 seconds off the win. That included just one overtake (maybe 2?) and the rest were due to others crashing. In the race I seem to be significantly faster than people who have qualified over a second ahead of me. I am in the Honda, so perhaps that explains it? Anyone get this?

Loving the races this week.

I don't have a problem with DT, either, but I know exactly what you mean.

Why don't they put us in Ferrari 458 road cars or something around it, at least?

@Steer after my races last night, I have my viewpoint on the the '16 Honda set in stone...

I'm quite enjoying using a non meta car, so that won't change. It is by far my favourite Group 2 in the game. I have however decided I won't be winning any races in it. It's been a very good opportunity to practice race-craft, dealing with pressure from behind as well as learning how to be patient and slowly apply pressure to those in front. This week Spa has definitely clicked with me.

One interesting observation about the NSX... It absolutely launches itself after the lights go out on the rolling start. When I've been clear of the chicane at the beginning (it was one time), I think I must've closed about 6 tenths right up to the rear bumper of the Nissan in front!

I like Dragon Trail Seaside Reverse... the chicken of death is much easier to take going counter-clockwise. That being said, I'm not exactly enthused we're back at D.T. regardless.
but then you get a new CoD at the end of the lap - the downhill chicane/S bend is a nightmare, gets so tight on exit.

I LOVE Seaside normal. Once I figured out how to get through the COD, it was easy money. It is literally one of my most consistent races. But then again, I also like Monza with the chicane. Don't mind me.
Do you also enjoy paper cuts and stubbing your toe?

general PSA: the bus is in the used car lot, if you’re like me and did the engine swap on one.
I hate hate hate that stupid POS car/van/thing and feel PD could've spent their time rendering a Ferrari 488 rather than that stupid POS. Sold mine off and will never look back. But I digress. :D

I am having the opposite regarding B and C. I expected to live in C this week because I love DF Reverse in Gr3, one of my favorite layouts in the whole game, but after doing a couple of Bs (mainly due to lack of time to run a C) I've stayed there all week. Gr2 at Spa in RS tires is just a fantastic combo. I wish this week's B and C were in different weeks as both are great and I feel I could spend basically a whole week on just one of them.

CLK is available to buy again at the Legends dealer, if anyone wants to run with a custom livery.

A bit of an expensive option at 6.5 million CR, though - the silver doesn’t look that bad.
Thanks, I am going to buy it on the 2 account. I have like 22 mil in the bank so no biggie.
