I have to remember that along with @Talon16 ’s “chicken of death!”1) I think it was last week at Lago Maggiore, when during the race someone chatted "I got slimed". If you've ever seen that scene in Ghostbusters, you know exactly what he was referring to, and it made me laugh so hard I almost went off the track.
I feel like maybe we ought to organize a league racing day once a month where we design a challenging private lobby and do some proper racing for an evening without the idiots ruining things for us.3) Last night at Spa, I started P5 and I didn't take T1 as well as I should have - not horrible, but not great. I got passed by cars before I got to Eau Rouge, during Eau Rouge, and because I got bumped around so much, I got passed on Kemmel, Les Combes, and, well, you get the point. People just kept shoving their way past me and didn't give a crap what happened to me. I could never "get any traction" if you know what I mean, and finally I red-misted and tried to take someone out who was bumping me around. It didn't go well for me. DNF. Ugh.
I haven't DNFed this much in months. Still like the course, but sometimes the experience isn't what I'd like it to be.
This would be one of the first things I’d do at my hypothetical league: have real strategies. I’m tired of PD’s fake strategies in Races C that funnel everyone to the only workable option. Why does it bother them so much to create races with multiple options and that have BOTH fuel AND tire wear? Race C isn’t for the casual gaming crowd anyway, so make it challenging for ****’s sake!I wonder if they had of made softs required instead of mediums at Deep Forest a two-stopper might have been a possible strategy choice

Did 3 laps with each at factory settings with RS tires and some surprising results for me! I love how the AMG handles Dragon Trail Seaside so will be driving it unless they mess the car up...

You really only have one slim chance to mimic the TT time, and that's lap 2 on the mediums, so if you don't get open track on that lap then you probably aren't going to get close to TT time. After that tire wear is notable, and the first lap is an out lap. My TT time is 25.7 and I haven't broke 26.0 in a race.How's everyone's lap times in Race C during the race vs TT? I'm a full second slower during the race and can't haven't been able to get close. Wonder if it's the full tank of gas slowing things down. I do notice that I usually start mediums and can almost set similar times later in the race.

I have to be real careful at all 3 hairpins and feel like my brake distances are longer than in the middle of the race. That pretty much sums it up. I had zero racecraft whatsoever. Now it's a vicious cycle of trying to get back what I lost, but losing more in the process.Joining late in the week is tough because guys are really dialed in and if you're tentative you'll get eaten alive.
I'm done with Spa this week. If I were driving better, maybe... But if I'm just a little slow for my QT, people feel like they can pass anywhere on any part of the track. I'm so friggin' over it. I've been binned more than yesterday's trash. (Sorry, that's the best I got today.) It's gotten so bad I took it out on the guy who tried to pass me when I was P12!! (He was a leader who fell back after wiping out.) P12!!! Who the hell cares at that point??? I'm still shaking from the pissed-off adrenaline flooding my system.

How do you get this graph?I had a rollercoaster of a ride in race B last night using my Normsk_GB account. After failing dismally to improve my time in the Time Trial with that awful Mustang I needed some ego boost
I haven't used Normsk_GB much yet, only a handful of races, so I am still DR D/SR S. Now racing at 10:30pm US Central puts me in the early hours of the morning in Europe with all the reprobates. While I'm SR S, in nearly every lobby I was the only S and most of the others were B or C. Not many As either. This was going to be a rough ride or they would all crash out...
Race 1 - Q4 --> P3
I took P3 by Les Combes in lap 1 and after that it was clean and uneventful to the end. Good start.
Race 2 - Q6 --> P5
In lap 1 at Les Combe (that corner would play out a lot in these races) I get hit and drop to P13. I caught up with the main pack by Double Gauche in lap 2 and from there have an awesome and fun race working my way up to P5 by end of lap 3. That's where I stay to finish. The punt out was unfortunate but it was fun nonetheless.
My qualifying time was not great so I worked that to drop it down to a high 2:06. Previously it was mid 2:07. That gave better QT for next race.
Race 3 - Q2 --> P1 Win (or in dutch OVER WINNING! )
First lap I take P1 in Double Gauche and after that it is a clear drive to the end. Also got CRB.
That win propelled me from high DR D to mid DR C.
Race 4 - Q11 -- DNF
I forget to save the replay but this was a split field of DR B and DR C with A/B/C SR and I was C/S. My QT was not good enough and starting from Q11 if a terrible spot on the grid. I worked my way up to around P5 by the last lap and I was feeing pretty good when I am interrupted by the women in the house disturbed by a loud noise late at night. I'm like "I'm racing; I check it at the end!" But I'd already lost concentration and had got mobbed in Double gauge and already slipped back to something like P7 to then only go off track. I'm like "F it!" and quit out 1/2 lap from finish. In hindsight I probably could have gone into auto drive and still finished better than DNF. Oh well.
Turns out the noise (checking out Ring cameras) was teenagers banging on our windows and then running off at 11:30 at night. Damn it. I ruined a race for that! Women....
Race 5 - Q5 --> P12
I improve my QT to mid 2:05s and get better starting position. Again a split lobby with the dregs from DR B and DR C. I really should not race at 7am European time... Get passed by Mr CLK driver on Kemmel and drop to P6 and also get taken by a GTR into Les Combes to drop to P7. Not a great start. This race was proving to have some rough driving with aggressive passing moves. Mr CLK gets mobbed in the curves by GTRs and I think he gets PO'd because after I pass him, he gets beside me Stavelot and happily pushes me off track 😡. That drops me to P13. I end up making up one spot but finish P12.
Race 6 - Q11 --> P12
I should have quit the night out before this race but no I wanted some redemption.. Argh. Even though my DR had dropped to a barely holding on C, this is mostly DR B.
Entering Les Combes I clip one of the bollards and literally fly, dropping to P13

I also got shaky in Double Gauche dropping further back and then get punted in the chicane dropping another spot but the reprobate there then also crashes out so I get my spot back. But I'm P14 at end of lap 1. Not good. I work my way back to P11 by last lap but P12 deliberately nudges me after La Source (they had plenty of room but decide to pit maneuver me) causing a 360 spin. That drops me back to P12 which is where I end.
After that I drop back to a lowly DR D in, in a slightly worse spot than where I started. What a cr*p show.

Yea, that is me. I actually got pushed off on Kemmel on lap 1 that saw me drop back a bunch. I am not even sure what happened but I was driving straight with a Lexus to my right and a GTR closing quick behind me (in the draft) then I am smacking the guardrail; 99% sure the GTR (green GTR driven by an Italian) got impatient and did something stupid. It's okay, I saw him spinning off a couple laps later tangled with another car on a straight; he DNFd.Hey @Talon16

Then P4 out-braked himself (also Italian 🤣 ) on the downhill right-hander after Sector 1 and I was passing him cleanly but he didn't want that. Raced straight into my side from outside the track and dropped 11 places down to last... 😢
By the start of sector 3 last lap, I managed to climb to P11 but on the back-straight, was passing P10 as I had slipstream and he had poor exit but of course, that's not happening 🤣
He pits me off track and I finish last even after all that effort... Happy days 🤣⚰️💩

I made a UK account. For the challenge, I am doing no qualifying, at all. Back to front, every race.A bit of redemption on my Normsk_GB account. I just did two more races; with each race I got pole position, got fastest lap and won. Woo hoo!
The second race, a CLK driver gave me quite a lot of grief in the first couple of laps. They would pass me on the straights, and I would pass them in the twisties, but by lap three I finally got ahead enough to keep the lead.
Now back to a mid DR C/SR S.
