Am I allowed to name a shame one South African user who I have seen in about 4 race A's this week, and clearly their sole intention is punting people off track? Every race ruined.

Apart from that most races have been great fun.
As @Famine says: no.
You are however allowed to post a video link where the driver does what you say, his name can be clearly visible in the video. That is a way to warn us without breaking the rules here.

As I understand it, and @Famine feel free to correct me (not that you need my permission), the point is that you shouldn't be able to search this forum for the offender's name, and see bad stuff about him/her. If the bad stuff is in a video, it can't be easily found by searching this forum.

There may be other reasons also.

Agreed. I haven't done much of any Daily races in a while. The GTWS races kept me busy/interested in the game. I loved the Gr3 races at Daytona RC and Nord. But, those are long gone. I haven't touched the game since Saturday's Nord races.

I am planning on firing it up today so I can get the new stuff and start the TTs, but not for Dailies.

Because this is the third time in five weeks it's come up.

IMO, they'll last well enough to not warrant the time lost for a stop.

Ugh that sucks. No stopper races are such a bore.

No not directly. I believe it’s ok to post a video clip of the incident with all the race info on and let people see what you experienced. 🍻

Took a chance going into the last lap as the rain looked incoming, paid off beautifully

A pleasure passing everyone sideways :D

Wow what a ghost town this place has become ☠️ Hmm? I wonder what could it be, any thoughts?😈
I'm doing time trials mostly (getting gold times more often now) and a lot of it has to do with me being rammed more often than a "lady of the night" offering a 50% discount on Sundays 🤣

Such a stupid penalty algorithm got me from 80% on the way to getting A+ DR down to B rating...

Ahem: let me fetch my soap box.
🎤

This is the hard reality that has me mostly uninterested these days. I can put up with tired track combos if the racing is fun. Unfortunately it just isn’t. At all. Too many races are getting spoiled by bad sorts and cheaters.

Hey PD (I’m sure you’re reading this), no more wall penalties is not the solution to unsportsmanlike racing. It’s a non-solution to the wrong non-solution the first time around! Ghosting could have been a good idea, but it only invites even more horrible driving. An actual, sane, and equitable penalty system is necessary if you want your game to be taken seriously by the online crowd.

Interesting people are finding they've been getting creamed and are having their races spoiled more often lately. Been the complete opposite for me - I've had some of the most fun and clean racing I've experienced in the games lifetime the past week. Brought the spark back.

I would agree and then I can't avoid a car who has slowed in the esses on the last lap at Kyoto but planted it in the middle of the track, get a two second penalty, before the guy behind can't avoid me either but still manages to finish within the 2 seconds and I lose a 5th place.

And you just sit looking into the distance wondering why do we do this.

I completely agree. I very rarely have a race ruined by someone other than myself or a true racing incident.

Echoing everyone else’s sentiments. I have up on Le Mans earlier in the week as it descended into nonsense… and I’m just not competitive on Race B. Had a reasonable run this morning for a few laps and hauled myself from 8th to 4th before dropping it… just can’t get the hang of the track, and I can either spend time learning it or secure a few million credits on the time trials. Looking forward to next weeks events…

Well, that at least isn't nefarious. Accidents can't be attributed to malice and can't be basis for a punishment system.

Scratch that!! My biggest issue with RaceB is always getting tagged by someone on the first lap like a pinball… was always starting 9th or 10th based on my quali lap from the start of the week, so decided to see if I could go a little faster now with some track familiarity, and improved from a 36.1 to a 34.9 😂…. That got me out of mid pack, and into the top 4 in the next race where I finished second. Full of renewed enthusiasm, I had another crack and got my first Race B win this week, with a CRB and fastest lap as well!

Funny. In my case, I haven't really received any hits I didn't deserve, or at least that I couldn't have avoided. Deciding to go side-by-side through a chicane and then getting knocked off the track is as much my fault as anyone else. But even with that, I've just been pulled away by things I'd rather spend my time on.

Did I see you in one of @Tidgney's recent videos, albeit very briefly? I thought I saw your name in there. In any case, glad you're having fun. You've actually inspired me to jump in a race right now.

I wish PD would get rid of the ghosting system! Honestly it is so bad.
Also the dynamic weather is annoying!

Finally jumped on tonight to do a few races on Daily C and i think it’s and ok race. Went with the GTR as not a huge fan of the CLK.

Race 1 - best race of the lot. Started P4 and finished P3. Had a close race with P4, P5 & P6. Two up front were checked out in the CLK and I couldn’t catch them. No weather in this race.

Race 2 - this is were things started to unfold. So on lap 1 heading into the first chicane a CLK flying up from behind dived into the chicane and was clear they weren’t going to the make the corner. Luckily the ghosting came into play but then on the corner exit it decided it was going to cause chaos. So the CLK unghosted at the wrong time to which the GTR beside them started turning into the apex of corner exit and that caused a crashed. As I was the car behind I hit the brakes but the car behind slams into me and I pin ball into the spinning GTR ahead and I crash. Manage to recover to P9 due to other crashing or penalties.
Had the blue weather clouds on the start but it didn’t rain nor was the track wet.

Race 3 - pretty uneventful. No weather again, but too many mistakes from me dropped me from P6 to P11. Picked up a track cut or track limit penalty on pretty much every lap. Track limits I think are a bit hit and miss on this track.

Final race 4 - again no weather which was disappointing but the driving standard was pretty awful this race. Started P10 this time and on the Indianapolis Straight I got pit maneuvered by a CLK. On the 2nd right kink I was pretty much fully right and in the right position to clip that inside curb. The CLK decided they want to the same space as me and to clip that curb but as they dived on the inside they then steered left to not get a track cut, and wham round I go. Finished last and wasnt in the mood to go again.

Will do a few more Daily C tomorrow as that one race I’d have was pretty enjoyable.

So the annoying things!
Ghosting - Every corner the ghosting kicks in and my opinion it just makes the racing bad. People use the ghosting to make overtakes, you’re not sure when the ghosting will unghost or you’re expecting the car to ghost but it doesn’t. I think with the ghosting been so unpredictable it makes just causes more issues then it solves.
Weather - from what I’ve seen on YT streams it appears that pitting is only required if it is really necessary, the rest of the time you just run on the tyres you started and with just manage the rest. Speed of the weather again just over exaggerated. Give us RBR or Dragon Trail Gardens with weather and I reckon the racing would be so much more exciting with pit stops and rain etc…

Aye you did, yeah!
Raced Tidge quite a lot that day, he was going non-stop with the Lamborghini pretty much from dusk to dawn, it was crazy. Was happy to see him finally get a win with it, he certainly put in the work.
I was the Beamer that cameoed and vanished off the planet (read: my car hooked the kerb on the chicane between scenes and I went to go play on the carousel).

Made a brief cameo in Super GT's POV of the same lot of races, though he only showed one race in the video. Was hoping he'd show our drag race to the line as it was a pretty tight finish between us, but I only got about a 0.2 second long appearance in his rear view in the end though, hahaha.

Well, will you look at that - I got Fastest Lap! I can't remember the last time I got FL when I wasn't starting in the pole position. This was a fun race, and it didn't hurt that a couple of the guys in front of me did themselves in through no fault of me or anyone else. I still managed to almost lose it on the grass after the last chicane on lap 4, but I had just enough left on the kerb to keep from spinning out. I don't know why I try to get faster there during a race - that's a survival point only, at least it should be, for me.

Since the patch there has been a significant drop in engagement for sure. Number of factors. The races have been bad. There's been an uptick in rammers. The physics change made Gr3 a Supra/GTR fest.

PD needs to address dirty driving. And quickly. I get that they want to have as many players playing as possible but once your die hards move on to games with better penalty systems, all you're left with is the casuals who ram, cheat and leave anyway because they have short attention spans.

I've had nothing but great races too.

On a related note, the buff the Corvette got seems to have a much bigger effect in race trim than qualifying, at least for me. Prior to its buff, I could never get below a 35.0 during the race, even when slipstreaming a Supra, but now I can do as low as 34.7 when running by myself. Meanwhile in qualifying, it took literally hours to improve on my pre-buff time of a 34.0, and even then the best I could manage was a 33.9.

I said something similar a few weeks ago. When the die hards aren’t bothering with racing on a regular (obsessive) basis, what in the world does PD think it’s doing?!
Both this and last week have had around 120-140 000 quali times set across all three daily races, which is pretty in line with average numbers since Christmas, and slightly higher than before that. This is probably the most objective metric we have available, but of course there's a slight chance people are setting times but not racing as much, but I highly doubt there has been a significant drop overall.

Time trial event participation seems to be going up, so maybe that is taking people away from daily racing a bit.

@MCL1974 You alright mate?

Taking the scenic route were we?

Bah that's nothing, I count laps in Gregorian calendar days....

Edit:

I've found the dirty air really problematic this week in B. There forces you to stay close to cars but with so many sweeping corners for me at least it magnifies the dirty air compromising the turn in/front end grip drastically.

That and accident or deliberate it's be a week of full contact death matches.
