baahh daily A Races...gotta love them.
9 rounds on the 3rd place being bumped into by the 4th place almost every round and he even got me one or two times just to lose it again due to his penalty. I was driving clean so far.
10th round I ran out of patience and bumped into another car and could overtake him. recieved 3s penalty for the bump and another 3s for overtaking during yellow flag.
Ended up 5th.
I really have to keep my patience.

Interestingly managed a 30.9 at RBR with three cars, mustang, amg merc and the wrx. Wex felt the safest, the merc felt the nicest and ill race with that to avoid the clear meta.

The Porsche felt great but couldn't get into the 30s and the supra was a 31.4. The mclaren confirmed my feelings on it after the bathurst time trial, I just cannot predict what the front end will do on this car, totally guessing.
My favourite Gr 3 car at the moment, have a lot of fun with it at RBR (McLaren that is)

I refuse to buy the Atenza but I’m at that point where I might have. Race B done a few today and my fastest in the GTR is 2.01 and my average starting position is P13. Atenzas seem to be 3/4 seconds quicker.
Last race i was going flat out all race and managed to get P6. Only non Atenza in the top 10.
So how much quicker is the Atenza?

It's not 3/4 seconds IMO but it is mighty depressing being in a Ferrari and watching that tub of lard whizz past you on the Monza straight.

Stai scherzando? :ouch:

In fast corners, I have zero idea if she will turn in early, hit the apex or push wide, just no idea. It must be how I am driving it as I tend to apex high and late and chuck her in a bit ham fisted. The 911 is superb, just down on top end.

I had the same experience on Race C last week. I used the Suzuki Swift almost exclusively, and would get swallowed up by Atenzas on the straights. I have nothing againts people using the meta car, and probably would use the Atenza myself, but I tend to be slower in 4WD cars for whatever reason.

My first time trying to set times at RBR. Took me a little while to learn the track; I did the CE ages ago but thats with a weird car so not helpful for gr3. Feels like a very clumsy circuit to me. Hopefully I’ll get used to it. Turns 2 and 3 I’m at a loss how to carry any speed whatsoever.
The WRX is quickest by miles. Not very nice to drive though; tendency to understeer when costing through corners and traction is non existent on exit and just wants to oversteer your into Mr R. TC is a no go as it’s too intrusive with this car. Reminds me of the supra in GTS I also tried the 650 and the RCZ and wasn’t really close.
I can see the races at turn 1 and turn 2 being chaos. It’s hard enough to find the correct braking point in qualy for turn 2, in race with tyre wear and fuel… one for the alt account I think.

You have to be gentle and carry as much corner speed as possible

Try the Z4 ;)

OMG daily race B is a total wreckfest at lower DR. I can't have one race where the cars don't pile up crashing to each other at the first or the second low-speed corners.

Other than the wrx you are driving the wrong cars. Try the merc and the z4.

I love the track, always have, suits my style of throw her in hard and fast and hang on, no fiddly bits, not real skill just how close to the line can you walk?

I came here to post the same thing. It has become undrivable. In Monza, there are 15 dive bombers and one poor mf trying to actually make the first turn. Ghosting doesnt work, so hes pushed off track and gets penalized.

This game is a waste of time.

Know the feeling. I got dropped down a rank due the bad races in last weeks race b and it’s absolute carnage in some of the races. Some racers try dive bombing from about a second back.

Unfortunately the dirty racers are EVERYWHERE and they can easily ruin your race. I'm hoping they come out with more online updates. It seems like the last update GHOSTS a player who is going to TORPEDO you from behind. The INTENTIONAL hits need to be policed/penalized more to discourage driving like an idiot

I did my first five GT7 sport races, Daily A… no quali for the first race, so pretty horrendous.

Race 3 got 2nd, Race 4 was punted at the very first corner and came 4th.

Race 5, better quali time got me starting P2, lost a place on lap 1, got it back then a nice clean & close battle with P1 for 6 laps & my first GT7 win 😎

Well that’s a first for me… having a good battle in Race A, overtake for the lead on the straight, and get a 3s “ignoring yellow flags” penalty because some idiot was doing backwards laps ghosted

So I ended up P2, just because the guy in last was messing around! No way to report that behaviour either apparently

Started with the Jag and got a win right away. Then, bought the Subaru and Nissan GTR Gr3 cars. Ended up using the GTR some and despite setting my fasts quali lap with it, failed to win with it. Finished a P2, spun once, and got booted once while in the lead. Never used the Subaru; I try to stay away from the meta just because but might give it a go later this week. Oh, also did one in the Viper and finished P5. That was a lot of fun racing but the Viper is not good on that race. Eventually, went back to good-ol-reliable Jag and won one more. Six races with three different cars and two wins with the Jag sandwiched on both ends.

Cool thing once on one of the Dailies, the guy (Canadian) who finished P2 was also running the Jag and had the same* livery. Like we were teammates finishing one/two.:D If you're out there, good driving!

*I did change mine slightly as I cannot have cigarettes on my car. Everyone knows this is the Marlboro livery (which is one I think looks really good on most cars) but I can't have the name on there. Alcohol I am fine with, but cigs I am not. OCD thing I guess.

This isn't the 70's..it really irks me that a fantasy car that hasn't won jack in the real world is better then cars like the Viper and 458 who are both well decorated race winners.

Whoever was in charge of the first bop iteration in GT7 needs to be fired.
Agreed, but making a sedan the fastest Gr.4 car still isn't quite as dumb as GT Sport, where front-wheel drive cars were the fastest.

I am no expert (currently C|A as I am still new to online) but for T3 I would brake at just before the 100 mark. Turn in a little late to cut it hard and get the car straight asap; extra important on this turn since it's so slow.

With the Jag I'd just leave it in 2nd, ease on the throttle and floor it. Even without TC, the Jag doesn't wheel spin and off you go.

With the GTR it would wheel spin in 2nd so you either ride it out and short shift into 3rd, or just leave it in 3rd and punch it. The former is a little faster but the latter is safer.

In both my wins on Daily C yesterday, the car that was behind me spun on that T3.

Wait what corners we talking because some call T2 the slight bend after T1 before the big heavy stop. So the big stop, Remus, is then T3 and T4 is the awkward off camber right hander that is SUPER slippery.

Remus is key, with TC1 I can spin and TC2 she bogs down badly so it is tricky for me as the tyres wear.

Racing was good last night is S/A rooms TBH, the Z4 is a little tight in the first few laps but as the tyres wear it balances out. The McLarens start well but start to struggle mid race. Overall, there really is no META tbh, i see a huge variety of cars in Race C.

Didn't play GTS but that sounds terrible.

I'm hoping they come with a really strong update towards the end of April they have had two test seasons full of data to make the necessary changes.

Upper left is Remus, tight uphill right hander. On my fastest qualy lap I lost 4/10ths there and cannot replicate the rest of the lap when i do get it right LOL.

Some cheaters about today. One person pit manoeuvred me on on the run up to T3 at RBR. And another just used the inside of my car as a brake as they were going to fast into the downhill T4.
Am getting sick of these daily races now. Every race something happens and I’m always the car that seems to lose out

First time running daily races after the cup races. Went from B to A and it’s quite clear I’m not good enough in A lobbies. I can’t get under 1:30 in race C.
