Radical at Atlanta is fantastic to drive, I had my worries but it's actually a great race. Well done PD.

Moves like this though do my head in

Just trying to cause a crash to prevent someone from passing or put me off so I'd swerve out or something?

If you have a penalty just take your lumps.

At least the game caught it and ghosted them.

They were serving a penalty so were ghosted all the way, just doesn't show in replays.

Of course if he had unghosted at the 'wrong' time for me it would have been a mess. And that was the aim I'm assuming.

Anyway, knew this one was feeling good for me

Did a couple of B races this morning, can't fathom why I'm not fast enough in QT (what a news I hear you saying :D) I'm usually faster...right now I'm at 1:48:0x with the Pegeout VGT but I've easily in me a 1:47:low even with the BOP...during the past weekend I had a 1:46:3 with the Ford but without any restriction, just the stock car in soft.
Need to improve the speed in the last couple of turns between the two straights.
So...achieved a 2nd and 3 place that puts me a smidgen away from move up to B - DR, but I actually think that I'm better in C for the moment...I see way better QT time right there, I'd start from the back....let's see tonight

C is just the banger I hoped it would be. Car needs to be shifted in a specific way though otherwise you'll be way off pace - just a heads up, best to check the top ghosts to see how and where they shift.

I went into my first race without checking and was absolutely nowhere. I don't think automatic will be viable here at all.

Yeah true, learned this during the tt 3 months back. You need to shift between 6 and 7k RPM for the best performance and early shifting out of corners also helps a lot.

How does one track their Driver Rating? Is there a way to tell if your rating is going up or down (within the confines of the Letters).

Aside from the bar under your DR in your My Page, there's no direct way to measure it. Indirect ways involve external websites and apps and are approximate only as there's no longer a way to observe the actual figures through the GT website as there was in GT Sport.

Right, working from home this afternoon, so I might squeeze a race here and there when compiling things 🫣 What’s your favourite race so far?

Yes but unfortunately PD insist on these stupid short races so it is 6 mins of actual racing and then 12 mins waiting for the next time slot...
I was really looking forward to this track coming up too 😔
I would also prefer to have longer races but I guess we gotta appreciate what we have. Let’s hope PD consider that in the near future.

In a few laps of practice I am well off the pace, lapping in 1:36.. I was going to ask what the trick to driving this car is but it looks like @PMK answered that question.

Thank you!

Also, what's up with the Peugeot VGT being the dominant car at B this week suddenly? Is it something with the top speed?

edit: ok, tried it in qualifying. Reaches over 280 kph just over the finish line. That explains it.

Another quick tip, double shift from 4th to 6th on the long straight. Will gain you time due to the crazy torque i think.

(edit) ^Thanks will take a look!

Thanks for the info. And excuse my ignorance, but what bar? EDIT, nm. You mean viewing from Playstation. Not online via a webpage.

I enjoyed the Race C, but there is no tyre wear and a required pit stop. This is mildly irritating for some reason.
Still, it's a nice 13 lap race with a well matched circuit and car so I'm already good for the week before even trying A & B.

I'm actually fine with the concept. I remember that during the 2022 GTWS Nations Cup, there was a race at Le Mans, and the tire/fuel use was so small that you didn't really need to pit. On top of that, it was Le Mans, so even just passing through the pits can take a while - but there was a required pit stop for that race. So I ended up gaining at least a couple positions upon finishing because a couple guys in front of me forgot the mandatory pitstop.

Yeah, it's more or less, just an exercise in seeing who can follow directions.

And who can steer in and out the pit lane without getting a penalty. I was kicking myself at the end of practice when I realised I'd forgotten to practice the pit stop. I got away with it with a rather tentative pit entry, luckily I wasn't in a close fight for position at this stage. I also practiced pit out in the warm up, which helped avoid the pit exit penalty in the race.

Anyone understand the main differences between the Ford Gt and the Peugeot VGT? I know there's not any fuel saving in the B race so maybe it doesn't matter much, but I just figured I'd ask.
