I will do some practice for Race A later. I don't think I've driven a kart since the newest physics update but hopefully (after probably over a thousand miles) I will be fairly fast.

Who sprayed margarine all over the Mount Panorama track?
PD right now

I'm so bad at Mount Panorama guys :D
First race 16th with 3sec penalty...a guy was completely still in the middle of the track but horizontal, yes....he was in bed sleeping I think...he was probably trying to re-entry from the green but withouth ghosting or any etiquette for the other drivers so I crashed and got that 3 sec.
But aside this, racing B ranked in this track it's not at my actual level I think

Really frustrated by the daily format lately. Every time I log on it's like a 15-20 minute wait until the race I want to do. At that point, I just turn the game off.

I don't know why there's not just a quick race option still. I only do dailies because I like online racing, I don't care about the actual "Sport" aspect of it.

I suppose they think the Multiplayer section takes care of quick/casual race - unfortunately I can never get a stable connection for those races so not an option for me.

Getting home just on the hour or half past, looking for a quick Race C. Mucking around for a couple of minutes and missing the entry is my usual routine. Then sit there like a lemon until the next one or even worse; start doing something to pass the 30 min and completely forget about it.

😢

I thought that was the time slot when we were supposed to practice and set a qualy time?

Sure but I don't care about driving around on my own for 15 minutes because of poor game design. Once I've set a decent quali lap for the week I usually leave it at that.

Ultimately, I play these games for fun, easy and casual racing. GT7 is offering less and less of that as time goes on and it's just making me play other things instead. I've really no interest in waiting around for 15 minutes before I can race when I could play any other (non-hyper competitive) racing game, get into instant matchmaking for a random combo and have about 5 different varied races in the time GT7 would give me 2 (at the same combo)

This was from a few weeks ago but here's some "quality" sportsmanship at Trial Mountain Reverse. :D

Actually the driving capability of the main protagonist is quite impressive but I think he took things a little personally.

Sooooo what car are you using guys for Mount Panorama? Set my actual awful QT with the R8LMS a car that I love but tonight I’ll take a shot with the McLaren and the 458, this one should be a little rowdy going uphill 😬😬😬

Hot damn!! This is the 1st week probably like all this year where all 3 dailies actually interest me. I don't know where to start!
Always love to see the karts come up and they are quite fun at tsukuba.
Managed to set a 1:59.500 quali for daily C and had a great first race going for p6 to p2!
Now just to pick a car for Bathurst and give that a crack

I'm not sure I have time to race this week, but if I do, I will probabily kill my DR/SR at Mount Panorama.
Anything better that dead last with abyssal gap from the one in front of me will be a win.
The only aspect that will hold me off is discover that there is a wall hit penalty.
Since I'm the master of wall riding here that will doublekill me.

I've scraped them a few times without penalty so far, you should be okay as long as you don't hit them too hard.
I think there's some good results to be had if you can get to the finish cleanly, or even with minimal offs, as these Gr3 cars are quite a handful over the mountain.

yes, particullary when it happens to park 90° accross the road in the downhill section.

That's what convinced me of the results to be had avoiding trouble. Despite that incident, with it needing a 3 point turn to get going again, plus having trouble shifting from reverse to 1st because my wheel had rotated 180 (With VR that's not as obvious as you'd think). I still caught up a train of cars fighting for 9th.

As of now I'm faster with the Mazda RX Vision, but it can make you spin out without notice.
I'm 0.100 slower in the GT-R '18 but it's way more stable and has good turn-in for the up and downhill sectors.

The 458 was the first car I tried. Pass.

I quite like the 911 for a driveable race car that doesn't spin out. What I want now is a Qualifying car good for a Banzai lap or two, sounds like I should give the RX Vision a shot for that.

Really, really wish I could say I'm going to miss last week's races...but I can't. I'll get there, just didn't make it in-time for this round at Daytona. I've found that some of the tracks I loathe most at first are ones that I eventually fall in love with, so 'Tona still got a chance. 😁

Looking forward to this weeks races, though. Will be fun at Bathurst as this will be the first I'm running it in '7, but loved in 'Sport. The F-Type always worked well for me but they seem to have BoP'd it in '7 more aggressively. Not sure, maybe it's me, but it doesn't feel as strong as it does in 'Sport. Anyway, should be a great learning experience.

Speaking of learning, I read here that Trial Mtn was on deck for this week so I spent some time with the course experience for that one. What I didn't read was what class was going to be running. I had figured/hoped it was going to be Gr.3's given the long straight. Since they use the Mazda Rx Gr.3 for the 'Experience I thought I'd be golden...but then I read today that it's gonna be Gr.4's. Hmmm. Should make for some interesting/fun drafting scenarios. Guess I'll take the Bug' out for a spin later.

The Karting is gonna be awesome, not much more can be said about that. Head-2-Head Karts will be another first for me and I love piloting the things. For instance, did you know the shifter-kart can run sub-8 minute laps at the Nordschleife? I think a quarter of that time is spent admiring the scenery as you crawl down the final straight at 120-ish. Should be amazing in VR, though.🤣

@Tidgney likes the Corvette there.
Corvette on Bathurst was high in the rankings this morning...don't know now cause at the start of the week the timing is really evolving but I'll give it a try cause I don't know her too much!

I hear you, it's wild...I mean, I love the track, I love the place, I love the technical aspect of driving there, but this morning the race was tough, I arrived almost at the end of the time allowed...I'm gonna try to get a better QT tonight with a few different cars and try again at racing

458 was wild going out of the corners, maybe she need an higher TCS but with 0/1 is a lion in the uphill part! wild but fun, maybe not useful to get anything good at QT or racing though :D
I'll try the RX Vision also tonight...gonna try the 911 - Corvette - McLaren and the RX Vision, let's see if I improve or I need to move to race C :grumpy:

Perfect time for quali 👍🏻

Uh-oh, I better get prepared for the mountain haul. Well at least there are some different things to experience here. I need to step it up though if I want to get in the top of the rankings and I mean near the aliens/super pros. Gotta get my skills up by running at least 200 laps on each track. That's the only way it can be done is if I practice HARD!!
