Have someone like this every second race.....i am loosing patience. Maybe i should stop playing.
Could post dozens of videos like that on Lago Maggiore.
The broken penality system puts another load of salt on top.

Just a WRX noob as many others. Full throttle, 'cause my car is fast.
And driving the fastest car, I must win at all cost.

Can’t say I saw much variation lol.

15 beetles and 1 WRX in my lobby.
Here we go again...
Some monkeys (sorry for the real ones), the very first thing they do on Mondays, is to check the top 10 chart
and drive the car for all week, even if some are a joke driving it.
Those idiots, don't drive what they want/like/drive better, they're just depersonalized people, who live by copying
others life. Plenty of them in society.

Chill out mate. It’s a game. People give themselves the best chance of winning. I don’t get why you take it so personally and judge someone’s entire life based on the car they select in a computer game.

Not that I’m in the mood to try GT7’s Sport Mode just yet, but I’m definitely a fan of how both Race A and C this week feature a specific selection. That’s what needs to be the norm, more so than one-makes and allowing all cars within a group.

That said, I’m definitely an advocate of one-makes for stuff like the F1500T-A, the Red Bull cars, or more unusual cars like the Honda 2&4 Concept.

Daily race A must die with a passion who on earth thought that was a good idea?
Wait, why? What's wrong with it? Suzuka is the best

Did you even watch the video? His issue wasn't the car choice man. You're the one that needs to chill out. Watch the video.

I dont get what you are saying. The toyota and subaru are the same car with different badges. Literally. Race C is just the Gr. 2 vehicles we had available in GT Sport if Im not mistaken.

Every track is going to have a car that works best on that track. We'll see how it goes throughout the week.

Personally, I don't like using the META. I have, but I prefer not to. I'll likely do what I did at the RBRing and use the META to set my quali time, then use other cars for the race. I don't want to buy the Beetle, though... so I am going to try and avoid it.

Beetle is quick but it's hardly META, it is as @Paulo Ribeiro says, people just jump on the first thing that tops the chart and that then floods it until its times are beaten in other cars. At least by the looks of the current timings, we're going to get a mix and I absolutely cannot wait to ring the Mustang around there, one of my faves in GTS I'm glad it has a chance to shine here.

If the Stang is good, I am 100% down for that. Really like that car; did in GT-Sp as well. Used it at RBRing and got P2 with it. Admittedly, I didn't give it a fair shake as I only tried it once... think I could've gotten a win with it but ran out of days.

I am disappointed that the daily races have reverted to the same style as GTS - BOP only. I enjoy the BOP races, but I also enjoyed the PP limit races where you tuned a car to a set maximum PP. It gave a much better variance of cars on the track and certain cars and tunes had strengths and weaknesses. That first race at Deep Forrest was so much fun that I tried to play everyday. The BOP races are still fun but can get a bit stale, especially when they are effectively all the same as GTS.

They should create Weekly & Daily races, with both a choice of BOP and PP races. The races that changed daily, rather than the current weekly set up would allow casual players like myself to jump in any and stand a chance and would less likely result in their being a specific meta car.

Unfortunately right now the PP system dont work. You can either glitch out the tranny or even not glitching things you can tweak your suspension enough and lower your gear ratio enough (on short tracks) to still fit a Turbocharger and be under 730pp. The car doesnt even handle that badly after the suspension changes.

What they should do is allow the BoP to affect our HP and weight and then let us fidget with the suspension and the (non glitched) tranny so we can decide if we want better handling or better top speed.

I am all for the Gr3 Stang finally getting some sunshine. Mine already has a sexy livery to show off. That thing was a beast pre 1.13 but I haven't taken it out since then. Hopefully they didnt give it too much understeer like they did the Gr3 650S.

Only done daily C and quite like that race. But they is a mandatory tyre to use. Have to use mediums which last all race no problems. Some (half the field actually) used soft and got a time penalty.
Only good for P12, got spun out around turn 9 to dead last. Any managed to battle through and finish P6, bumped up to P5 due to penalties.

Race C is good fun, first one I've enjoyed in GT7. Put in a quick qualifying time of 1:30.8 and won at my first attempt, from the front row. Held 2nd place off by around 4 seconds or so, turns out they were on softs and took a 1 minute penalty for not using mediums so won by 23 seconds over the next medium runner.

Seems to be very tight between the Nissan and the Lexus in terms of which one is fastest, but the Nissan for me gives me a lot more confidence on the throttle.

Interlagos repeat already? It ran from March 20-27 6 weeks ago. No change in penalty system, no incentive to go there again lol. Did PD at least fix cutting T2? Or is that part still optional :/

Fuji no thanks, Suzuka then, hmm. Tokyo for the daily ticket, finish up Horizon FW instead. The races in GT Sport are still the same, not even updated monthly anymore.

for someone like me that has zero knowledge of computer:video gaming codes or whatever it’s called. It seems like it wouldn’t be that overly complicated to use “new” combinations. It’s not like they already had a good template to work off of they also had near a hand full of years. To pay this amount of money for a completely unfinished piece of work is honestly insulting to be kind.

Agree, but without better BoP in race B (and sometimes C) without better balancing across gr.3 and gr. 4 cars the Subarus, Mazdas, and Renaults will continue to dominate pole. At least in race A you know exactly what you're dealing with (as far as true balance goes) every single time.

Wow that sounds really cool to not have BoP limitations only, but to be able to use PP instead (never played Sport - last game played was GT6). I wish PD would bring that format (or a choice) to GT7.

Tried a Race A this morning. DNF. Car decided to drive off on L4. I can't even keep an '86 on the road. :banghead:

The cars around me were sliding quite a bit too. It felt like a battle of saving the car from sliding more than a race. I find it pointless racing lately. I drive in a straight line while cars in front of me slide side to side, going 4 directions at once yet still are faster than me.

Well I’m kinda glad it back in some sense.
I’ve just found a video clip saved from when the race was last there. I was in a McLaren 650S and my fastest lap time in the quali was a 1.40.
Done my quali today and I’ve got it down to a 1.34. So in those weeks of playing I’ve managed to find 6 seconds.

@Mercia agree. Fuji is a winner for me this week. Love the track in how it’s a tricky track but when you nail it it’s rewarding and the Gr2 are all pretty equal too which is good.

Also penalties today have been getting on my nerves. Some I will hold my hand up and take the punishment, but not when someone is off track and rejoins and hits you will I accept picking up a 2 second penalty.

Was pretty obvious we would have GT500 at Fuji since Super GT is racing there this weekend. Only issue is none of the cars in GT7 are current GT500s. :dunce: (The 'NSX' in real life GT500 is FR since 2020, not MR.)
Not even this weekend, it's this Wednesday because of Golden Week in Japan

Well I'm liking Race C this week...would love to see those mangy Benzes there too...I'm sure those would wipe the other three up at Fuji. The cars are well balanced and there are various tactics that can lead to victory... excellent.. that's the way racing is supposed to be.

Be ready to see this week's race C combination at least twice a month.
