GT7 Tuning Calculator - Download v3.3 all new cars added!!

Hmm, is there something a bit weird with the level ratio for Nissan's GT500 cars (the 2016, 2008, and the 1999 models)?

The v1.8 Lite and Expert versions produce different results from the same inputs.

1.8 Expert:

1.8 Lite:

Values from 1.7 as a point of comparison:

The values for the GT-R GT500 cars from 1.8 Expert and 1.7 match all the other GT500 cars. 1.8 Lite seems to be the odd one out.
So, the lite version was referencing the GT-R gt500’s as a road cars, I’ve adjusted and now it shows the same as the expert version. Well spotted! Will send out new update soon.

Your video helped me a lot ! But here is my new problem, I did everything correctly (I guess) but when I hit « calculate », it results as an error. Did I miss something again ?

Okay, seems to be a reoccurring issue here, what values did you put in the RPM cells in the gear ratios tab?

I tried the three cars I had set up using the calculator and the suspension and LSD setting were all good. Although all three cars were geared too long so still some rev's to go when I hit the brakes at the end of the longest straight.

I had matched the top speed setting of 200Kmh used with the top speed/default adjuster when using the calculator, so unsure if I just need to ignore the default adjustment and check the actual speed each car hits before braking or that I've put the wrong setting in somewhere on all three.

I'll try checking actual speeds tonight and see how I get on.

Ignore the default, you need to check to see what top speed you actually require for each track… it doesn’t always work out exactly as tire diameters very from car to car, but it’s a good guide.

I haven’t recorded audio yet no. Should show you what you need to know though. Stiffness is how you Like the feel of the suspension.

V1.9 is now available for download, as you probably already know…

New cars added from last 2 updates as well. Thanks to @Nenkai for his time to supply the lever ratio data…

Crazy develompent. Respect and thank you again for all the work you put into this project.

Somehow I can't insert a freeform shape anymore. The button is grey. It worked until todays update. :ill:

EDIT: 959 isn't missing

I’ll fix that, sorry. Must have locked drawing tools by accident. Just away from computer at the moment. As soon as I can I’ll release this.

It works on mine, for some reason you can only select it on the left edge…

Came here to say, I purchased this a week or two ago and I'm loving it. Thank you for the effort you've put into it to help me get a really solid baseline.

So you know... I'm a mobile user, my PC is nowhere near me and when the time comes for a Android mobile app whether it be alpha, beta or final. In the store or sent as an APK... I'm there and will spend the money again.

Keep me in the loop!

Looks like the GT-R GT500s have gone back to being classed as road cars in 1.9. In both the Expert and Lite versions.

GT-R 2017 road car (same values as the GT-R GT500):

Actually all the GT-R race cars (the two GT3s, the Gr.4, and the Gr.B) share the same values as other road cars. Is that intended?

And also the 959 seems to be missing from the Expert version.

Lite:

Expert:

And finally, the kph/mph toggle in the gear calculator does not appear to work (198kph and 198mph top speed produce identical gear values).

Thankyou Techlet for the in depth analysis lol.

I will get this fixed asap.

The 2020 AMG GT3 Evo also has an issue where the Lite and Expert calcs produce different values.

Expert:

For reference, the 2016 model (same output across both Lite and Expert versions):

There's also something strange going on with the AMG GT3s. The 2020 and 2016 versions output identical values as expected in the Lite calc but completely different values in the Expert calc (which both differ from the values produced by the Lite calc).

Lite (same output for both 2020 and 2016 models):

Expert (2020 model):

Expert (2016 model):

There might be more cases like this.
Right okay, I’ve got a felling I’ve already corrected the issue that is causing this and the missing 959… there was a cell reference missing from the lookup formula which was throwing stuff out. I’m just checking it all now…

All of these issues have been resolved in the latest update, V1.91

I have also changed the RPM setting in the gearing tab on expert version, to min corner speed, seems to be working well.

This is pure coincidence the race cars and road cars have different lever ratios, weight, downforce, weight distribution.

Let me know if you discover anything else.
