How did you paint the Rebel like that? I've only seen them with the rusted/ beat up texture, which you can paint but its never put back to "new", it keeps the rusty texture.

Does it randomly spawn with good paint or what?
 
The clean Rebel looks nicer in stock form, but LS Customs is unable to modify it as much as they can with the rusty Rebel. As far as I know, the clean one is totally random.
 
Thanks, so does it get the engine and turbo mods like the dirty one?

I can do without the visual mods but this truck needs a bump in power. I'll check later when I can.
 
Yea, performance mods are the same, just the cosmetics are different.

Edit: I've had the best luck finding the clean Rebel by driving around in the rusty one.
 
I run mine around without a turbo, which to be honest is too much power for running it on the little trophy/off road course near Sandy Shores.

It spawned clean paint. It seems more capable and better 4wd then the rusty version. However the body mods are none. It came lifted on the big tires with the light bar and brush guard. Very impressive to say the least.

It says V8 on the back and sounds like one too. Has a similar note as the Sandking.

The Rat Loader I got over in Sandy Shore by Trevor's trailer. It took a few day night cycle of driving around to get it to spawn. It's a cool machine. Very loose and drifty. My sultan was found over there too.

That reminds me, last night I grabbed a rusty Rebel to stow away for future modding and it had the off road lights up top of the roll bar. When I put it in my garage, the lights were gone. I took it back out, and sure enough, no more off road lights. :(

I got a response to the first email telling me to email someone else, which I did and have not received a response. I assume they are busy with the online bugs so I'm waiting for that to calm down before I try again.

I find it sad how they properly implemented 4WD for a vehicle like the Stratum (parked it on a steep hill and took off, all 4 wheels gripped), but they can't do it for lifted trucks like the Sandking which CLEARLY have a front diff. :dunce:

After an arguement with a friend I came up with the idea that this is all on purpose. Bear with me, if the off road cars were as capable as a sultan, instead of climbing hills we would be launching off of them. Part of the fun in off roading is the lack of traction, so I'm guessing it may have been dialed back so we can struggle to get up hills and keep it challenging.

I'm guessing that they forgot that one.

I'm expecting it to be fixed in the next update.

I still haven't gotten around to adding a truck to my online garage because my Sultan does it all. On top of its offroad prowess, it's quick, it's stable and handles well (and the AWD helps for tire blowouts), it has four doors for buddies, and an insurance claim is only $150. I don't even drive the other cars I have.

I have to snag a G-Wagen lookalike today and see how it fares.
 
You'll need a truck or SUV for the meets. ;)

Also - just updated the trail rating key in the OP to something more compact. Hopefully it's easy to understand.

Also x2 - I added the 4x4 Crew stuff because someone requested and no invite requests yet. What gives?

Yeah that's my main thing is getting good photos. I can put some in the OP if they are good (daylight please and no crown vics! :P) I still need to get ahold of an Off Road Mesa online, but been spending a bunch of time offline checking out trails (or potential trails) and rally stages. :D

"A Titan of a Job" is the best mission to find a Mesa Off-Road. With three players two of you can get one. After the fire fight one person can fly the Titan to the airport whille the other two grab the two Mesas that spawn. Once you kill the mercs in them of course. You can request this mission from Lester over and over. You can also call mercs from Merryweather after level 35.

Some if not all the body mods will put the lights back on. I have the one with the spare tire and the side bed panels. It has lights on the rollbar. There's a baja bar for the front that adds two lights also. Unfortunately they don't function like the Mesa Off-Road's do. I haven't gotten around to the engine yet. Building four rigs at once gets pricey. Am I the only one who tries to match the after market wheels to the spare tire... OCD. :)

If you've allready got one and just helping a friend with the mission, the Off Road Mesa is worth a lot at LS Customs. I got over $13k for an extra one I had. That makes that mission a very good pay-out. :D
