It'd be cool if the front was different. But the front isn't. So it drops the car down from cool to a level lower.

Meh implies that it doesn't get your attention in a good or bad way or that you simply don't care about it, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Meh isn't a lower level of cool. It's a neutral reaction.

I wanted to vote Cool for general muscle car goodness, but that ugly nose and Dr. Zaius behind the wheel put it at Uncool.

Ironically, they are supposed to appeal to the youth market, similarly to the way they do now.

Dusters and Novas and Mavericks were. The Cyclone was about two or three levels out of reach of anyone young who didn't have a trust fund just like everything short of the Road Runner was; and I don't think Ford cared that twenty somethings couldn't hope to afford one.
