Here's where I believe Acura started to fall in terms of styling. Slapping an Acura badge on a Honda isn't exactly what one would consider "Cool"
UNCOOL
My thoughts, pretty much.Nice car,but kinda vanilla. uncool.
There was no Type S first gen. TSX. There was an optional A-Spec kit.The Type S in white can be quite stunning, unfortuantly it is only an Accord which makes it uncool. I'm really torn on this one, but i'm going to say uncool with a slight lean towards cool.
If you click the numbers it will show who voted what.
If I were to own a Acura TSX, I'd drop the motor out the K24, and do all I can to get an imported Euro-R K20 from Japan or deal with a USDM RSX Type-S K20A. It's a nice sedan by far better than a Buick Sable or as Nissan put's it, a 'boring' Toyota Camry'.

Guys that voted Sub-Zero. Come'on. Really?
Aww, yes really! I voted Sub-Zero, so, yes really, Aww!
That's why you have a FF Ford Fiesta as your avatar?Of all drivetrains, the one I hate the most is FF. Of all japanese cars, I only like Honda's. Of all Honda's... I only like the NSX and the S2000. Considering this is an Acura, guess where my vote is going...?
Yup! Seriously Uncool. 👎

When did it become fashionable to hate FWD?
They did the same with the RSX and everyone seemed to love it.
Any explanation with that to better prove your point? Not against it, but Casio was probably asking for a reason why....and I'd like one too.

Remove a 200 hp K24 for a 200 hp K20? No thanks... I'll keep the torquer.

Voted cool. Almost uncool, but I like unassuming family sedans with good driving dynamics. (so sue me... I've got a kid and a baby seat... and sometimes Daddy's got to have fun, too, right? I love four-doors.)
Um, not really. I like the TSX, I really do and I'll give it that it's very nimble & light, but it's nowhere near as good as my TL, in the overall department.Yes, a K series packed 200 hp 'sporty' four door from Honda is as good as anything else their line up has to offer. It's not a bad ride either for driving around with the bundle of joy. I'd much rather take the 're-badged' Accord than the bland J Series powered Honda Accord's sold in the US, not to take anuthing away from them.

But it wasn't too obvious. In the United States, we had no idea the Acura RSX was also the Honda Integra in Japan. (I was one such person until I got GT4) The RSX also had a certain type of elegance to it, even in comparison to it's nearly identical Japanese brother. This car is missing that Acura elegance, it's still obvious it's a Honda.
As an avid Honda fan and the Integra being my favorite Honda I knew the DC5 chassis was the new or next generation Integra before Gran Turismo 4. Ah the dead give away 'DC' ! The fact they named it RSX to go along with the MDX's, TL's, and TSX's is what I didn't get. When looking at it I didn't get why it wasn't called the Acura Integra when sold in the US and Canada. Seeing that it has always been sold Honda/Acura Integra before with the DA and DC2 chassis. The introduction and production of the 4th gen Teg changed that for 'marketing labeling' decisions. As far as the DC5's being 'elegant', that's like calling a VW Bug 'roomy'. It's a great sport compact but a base model without a sunroof and beige or gray cloth interior strikes me as anything but elegant. The TSX on the other hand I can see falling more so under the title of 'elegant'. The exterior is wonderful in design and the Acura precession is evident in the Acura TSX as it was in the first generation line up of Acura's back in 1986.
