It was 10 chances to 0, Sonny Rosenmeyer scored 4. Needless to say, he's in this rounds X11 team, as are 4 of my players and for the second round in a row TVR&FF is manager of the round and his team moves up into 6th place.

I managed a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven, I only managed 7 chances to 0. My 16 year star to be midfielder scored. His current form is 20/20 but he's only a 4 skill rated player so I'm taking a bit of a risk choosing him over someone else, but I want to give him a few games so his skill increaes next season. His form is certainly good enough.

Mine, Casio's and Duncs goal differences this season I think set the top and the middle of the team apart imo in as much a way as the points do. If Casio hadn't had a shaky start he'd be far closer to the top than he is. The next round will be interesting. The next two rounds even. It's Waldemar Wonderes v Casio city and then the round after it's Casio city v Waldemar Wonderers.

My new striker almost scored, Ross (my promising 16 year old) scored one and hit the cross bar once as well. We absolutley hammered PSV, not as much as Casios win against Brackley but it was still a dominating performace by my team.

TVR&FF you've only got 13 fit players to use now (1 got injured in the last match) and 3 of thoes are on a last yellow card warning. Your on a good run at the moment, but your team has zero depth to cover for these things. You've only got 3 players you can use as subs in your next match but one of them will be a currently injured player who might be better off left out the squad due to poor form since he will have recovered on the match day.

On another note, Bretts form is starting to reach a level where I'd be happy to include him in the squad again without hesitation.

I am working on it, but I don't want to fill my team with anymore players with a rating below 5. But the only player I have injured is back for the next game I think.

No you have two players injured, one got injured in your last match. As for skill ratings, that depends on age, a 16 or 17 year old with a skill rating of 4 can be a valuable asset if you use him right.

I just spotted that mistake, but I have just placed a bid down for a Goal Keeper past 31 years of age. I just hope I can get him in before the next game.

Update

Just signed a new Striker.

On the way home from a party yesterday Homer Smythe drove of the road. Also in the car were Walt Myall and Ralph Bull. Fortunately none of them were seriously injured but they will be unable to train or play matches for a few days because of shock.

3 of my best players right before the game against Casio City :grumpy:

Only Homer Smythe and Ralph Bull are showing up as injured and unable to play, you'll have Zahir Kaqani back tomorrow, I don't know what his form is like now but he's a decent skill level. Ralph Bull is replacable imo, he has some useful talents but you can play Dorian Nutley, Kevin Trainer, Wilhelm Malmström and Walt Myall in the middle. and Frankie Burbage and Jim Brown up front, unless you want to take a gamble and give Matthias Butters a run around. If I were you, by tyhe end of the season I'd make sure he's played at least 3 or 4 games. He's not got the best skill level so the next two games might not be the best games to give him that run around. That said, a 4 skill rated 16 year old scored the winner against Casio for me and a different 4 skilled 16 year old scored in my last match against PSV. He's young, has a few talents and his form will be easy to get high and keep there so his skill might go up to 5 next season. If you never play him it won't, the more games you play them and they keep their high form, the better chance they have of their skill going up at the end of the season.

Big game tonight. I'll have to win both my games against RN3KKWMT to have even the slimmest chance of going back to back.

I noticed you bought a pretty handy looking mid-fielder just in time for the matches. Best of luck to the both of you, 2 draws would suit me ;).

Some good results today, bad luck Dunc, but well done for coming back from 3-0 down to 3-2. By the same token congratulations Casio for winning such a big match. I'm happy to be 3 points ahead in the table now but the season is far from over, I still have to play you both and thoes games can go either way. It's turning out to be a very interesting second half to the season.

My team is doing better than I expected for my first season, and another win was a welcome sight. I still think I can take 3rd on the ladder but I'm having to cut some deadwood from the team so things will probably be a little unstable for me over the next couple of rounds.

Why have you put one of your best players on the transfer market? I don't see what your trying to do there, also for example you've put Hawker on the transfer market but not Dickens, they are both 24 but Hawker is the higher skilled player.

Heres a tip, develop Rowley Holmes, Quincy Rose, Sebastian Lipsky and Seth Spence. They can all be good players by the time they're 25, Quincy Rose especially since he's only 16. Evan Downey is probably your worst player.

Unlucky about the loss Downley Athletic, but it is funny you have to play me again in my next game.

@ live4speed Maybe he is doing some wheeling and dealing.

Wheeling and dealing is fine if you can replace one palyer with a better one, but you can't sell a player for as much as it costs to buy an equally good player thanks to agent fees and the bit that goes to the actual player. I'd advise people to be very careful about selling good players, and young players. The transfer market is not very dependable, when I made my last purchse, Stephanos, he must have been about the 10th striker I'd evaluated and made a bid on before I was actually succesful. 10 evaluations alone is at least 2.5 million econ. Make the bids, get a player your happy with and then sell the player he's going to replace or keep him as backup incase you get any injuries. That's my advice anyway.

Hawker might have more skill but his form is stopping him from working, while Dickens is performing above average for his skill. There is method behind my madness; not much, but a little.

Yeah but do you really want to sell him when you can do form training to get his form back up?

One week ago one of my more often praised players (Brett Lightbody) hit an all time low of 1 in form, yes 1. Today, 1 week later his form is back upto 11, he not ony scored a goal today, he set one up as well. His his form tendency is still positive so it will continue to rise. Form training can completely reverse a players form tendency. Sometimes you might need to train them twice in a row, but it's better than selling in the case of a player who can be useful to you.

Hawker is only 24, he's by no means a great player for a 24 year old but imo Emile Dickens is your worst striker. Craig Holbrock is currently your best but I wouldn't be suprised if he was your third choice or fourth next season if you build your younger players properly.

On another note Quincy Rose is your most promising player and Rowley Holmes your second most promising player imo.

Dickens - allrounder with excellent, untrained form and 5 goals from 5 games
Hawker - 0 goals from 3 games and poor form after being trained twice

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong and the world will keep turning anyway. My biggest problem is finding replacements for 2 of my 3 older players. I'll need a goalie soon I think, and possibly a new midfielder not too long after. But that can wait for a bit (I hope).

3 games isn't enough to judge a player, Dickens has scored 5 in 5 which is good, but if you get Hawkers form up he will score like that. What's his form tendency at the moment, up, down or level?

From the look of it Dickens is closer to a 4.5 rating than 4, but imo out of all your strikers he's the one with the least promise. Unless you let Hawkers skill rating drop at the end of the season, looking at Hawker, his will probably go up but I can't see your players form stats and for good reason, so don't post them.

Only sell a player with a low form rating, if you think it will pay off and work on the team.

It's more a question of average form and where you can take that average form before the season ends.

For example a 16 year old 4 skill rated player with an average form of 17 but a current form of 3 with 2 games to go is well worth keeping if he's been played, because the chances are he will go up at least 1 skill level by the end of the season and becaome a 17 year old 5 or 6 skilled player. He's more valuable than a 16 year old 5 skilled player with a current form of 17 but an average form of 3 in the same season. Sure the 16 year old with the good current form will play better in the remaining 3 matches, but at the end of the season he's probably going to lose at least 1 skill level and become a 17 year old 4 skilled player.

It's about being able to judge where a player will be by the end of the season, this season theres still a long way to go before the end, there's plenty of time to influence a players average form notably. It's too early imo to judge a players average form if he's only played 3 games so far, if the average form is below 8 with 3 games to go, get rid, the remaining 3 games probably arn't enough to influence that average unless he's a new player who's joined the club recently. And you adjust the time scale the lower average form is and by the lenth of time you've had the player.

I noticed you bought a pretty handy looking mid-fielder just in time for the matches.

He got in the X11 team first go too, looks like he might pay off 👍

I am wondering, how can a goal be disallowed 2 minutes after it happening? I've never seen that before.

I think it's just the way the events are logged. There's always a minimum interval between logged events, so the score a goal would count as one event, then to dissalow it would count as a seperate event, so it's just the way the timing works. If you want a definite answer go to the questions form from the lobby page and ask Iwe.

On a sperate note, 10 of my players are in form training at the moment, not all of them have poor form and not all of them have negative form but some haven't been trained for a while and are neither here nor there. You ahve to be careful you don't over train your players sometimes, that's happened to me before.

I found that out the hard way - luckily my player got away with only a minor injury and wasn't scheduled to play that week anyway.

I have finally signed a new goal keeper, who is better then the last goal keeper I have had for the last 3-4 matches. However he is a bit older.

Well done again, you won that one 4-0, you have 2 players on their last warnings now though. I've had one of my players suspended, but it shouldn't be much of a prblem. I only won 2-1 against George united, I hit the post a few times though, George had 1 chance all game, and it was late on and he scored from it :ouch:. Oh well, the points matter most. Unucky Dunc, Casio beat you 1-0, so your now 6 points behind, but I still have to play you again, and Casio again. It was a much tighter game this time though.

Omnis I was hoping your team would have won there last game, but I am glad my midfielders are scoring goals.

Are you talking about my next game against you being tighter?

No, I meant Casio and Duncs game today was tighter than their last one, it was a much closer match. But I'd expect the next game between me and you to be tighter than the last one as well. Your starting to become a consistent side now, you've improved a lot as a team from the first season. My next 3 gaems are going to be key to if I win the league or not I think, my next game shouldn't be too hard, it's PSV away, but the two after that, I play Casio away the I play Dunc at home.

Damn, two nasty injuries. I guess the shake-up wasn't the best idea after all, huh!? At least I scraped through with a 2-1 win.
