Trux are back, I see.

Unfortunately, what I don't see is myself running any Daytona races because now it's proven in both Thunder and Vintage NASCAR - people aren't careful enough, not in short nor long races. I'm not racing to get wrecked every single time. đź‘Ž

I know you're annoyed because it always seems to be you, which is true, but expecting 12, 760bhp cars to run 200 miles in an oval at 220mph without a couple of wrecks is about as likely as pigs flying.

Although, this is why I suggested slower speeds at Daytona.

Trucks are slower now.

1550kg (maybe 1570)
700hp (used to be 800hp)
49 second laps solo, top speed about 197 with tandem.

Looks set for a august / september start, first number is corresponding Sprint Cup weekend.

01: NextEra Energy Resources 250 @ Daytona Superspeedway (100 laps)
02: Toyota 300k @ SS Route X (10 laps)**

(OFF WEEK - NO RACE)

04: Camping World 100 @ Motegi Superspeedway (65 laps)**
05: Kroger 100 @ Indianapolis Superspeedway (60 Laps)

(OFF WEEK - NO RACE)

(ALL STAR WEEKEND) NASCAR Japan 100 @ Motegi, 65 laps**
07: Coca Cola 150 @ SS Route X (9 laps)**

(OFF WEEK - NO RACE)

08: Kroger 150 @ Daytona (60 Laps)
10: Brickyard 150 @ Indianapolis Superspeedway (60 Laps)

November/December? The Cup starts in August.
:banghead:

Adjusted it

All wrapped up pre-chase, allowing any Sprint Cup drivers to focus on the chase.

Also this series is exempt from any restrictions that NW and Sprint Cup have about being eligible for pts.

Teams of two or three? What you guys think?

the problem that I noticed from Indycar is that many drivers have a problem holding a line through the corner, which I assume is a symptom of having a loose car and possibly using a DS3. there was a lot of movement up and down the track through the corners and from watching replays its clear many of our crashes in Indycar were due to people moving up the track and coming back down on a person who had moved into the low position, or from moving up into someone in the corner and hitting them into a wall. I didn't see that as being a problem in Vintage NASCAR though.

its easy to run a consistent line with the DS3 alone on track but in a pack it must be really difficult because even with a wheel it is hard to hold the line in a pack without making a lot of little adjustments.

I agree. Its very difficult on a DS3 to keep a consistent line through corners.

If the timing fits in with me then yes. But with familiy commitments etc, it's very difficult hence why I am not able to find time for Vintage, Thunder or Nationwide etc.

I struggle enough with SC as it is.

I'm currently considering alternatives to having my setup in the living room but for a number of reasons I can't see it happening.

EDIT : I'll always put my name down as reserve and have a car ready for any series, on the off chance I have free time to make a race here and there.

Well as long as your mindful of when your drafting me :P , ya welcome back in

Also for Trucks I'll leave it free for people to have two or three truck teams.

$hit. Everyone wants to race on Friday Including Dax and his series.

I may have to move the Swifts S3

 This had fridays before them ;)

Dax's will be winding down by then... if there's anyone left...

With 4 different makes/models of trucks to choose from, I think 2 teams of 2 trucks per manufacturer makes the most sense.

Have 8 teams of 2 allowed, with each team requiring a signup. For example:

Chevy Team 1:

Chevy Team 2:

Dodge Team 1:

Dodge Team 2:

Ford Team 1:

Ford Team 2:

Toyota Team 1:

Toyota Team 2:

Then, have the teams paint their trucks/wheels the same color, and you'll have a season that can put on an interesting fight for three different titles.

Certainly and idea, but at same time I don't want to force out part-timers and single truck teams. I'll be in a Chevy team, JediJoe a Toyota team, Chqr a Dodge team...

Points for pole, laps led, and most laps led guys?

EDIT Just watching last season Daytona finale sprint...

How about 6 team slots (minimum 1 team per manufacturer) and 1 independent slot in each truck?

Chevy Team:

Dodge Team:

Ford Team:

Toyota Team:

Second Team (Chevy/Dodge/Ford/Toyota):

Second Team (Chevy/Dodge/Ford/Toyota):

Independent Chevy:

Independent Dodge:

Independent Ford:

Independent Toyota:

Now you have a fourth championship, for just the independent drivers.

Even though it may be possible to get those cars even, I'm going for Toyota if the cars for each driver aren't fixed, due to its superiority at Indy.

I'll have a dig around tomorrow to see what I have spare.

I reckon teams will make it less chaotic, as people will actually have someone to work with and it won't be everyone for themselves...

Test lobby open. Minor spec changes currently being tested.
