Agro, JL, throw some pics of your cars up in here. We're all race fans, love to see 'em! That's my car on my avatar.

The Tr-3 and 4 are my fathers, the Spit on the end is mine getting a full rebuild before the race in September

This car won the SCCA Runoffs in 90/91

My '63 Spit, missing its front cowling. It is soon to be renumbered as 32.

Ill post em on Saturday. Phone can post pics. Need a the computer. Feel like a cave man using that thing. Everything is done by phone these days

Ok just to let everyone know, ive gotten my new Stratos(York Green take that Skel haha) to handle the same with SS tires and the RM tires. I tookthe same method for tuning this car as i did with the one i had set up for RM tires. Just for kicks i took my Rally car version and applied the same method of tuning, RS tires, and ended up with the same result. The car has no oversteer and it handles just the way you want a mid mounted car to handle. I will be posting a tune for both the Rally Stratos and the road car in our Tuning Garage.

Very cool pics JL, love the colors too. I'd really like to try something like that someday. Them Spit's look like an absolute blast to drive.

So I'm a bit confused since the actual poll is gone. I was wondering since last time I looked the Medium and Soft were neck and neck, could we run a mixture compound?

Lol really? Last I checked (14 votes, SS had 7 of them) so I figured that would be the choice, but if RM rallied and got two more since I looked, I think I'm going to make the executive decision to make the compromise with RH tires.

I see, I just thought that we could switch tire compounds through out the race like F1 style and make strategy another element to the champoinship.

If you wanted to up the races to 45 minutes, then we could run both compounds, that way we could require a combination of RM/SS or allow you to run RH with no stop?

Nah you're the boss I like the set up you've got. I just thought we could up the drama of racing more and if one person is too dominate then the strategy might play a big roll.

I dunno. I wish I could cater to everybody...

Anyways. Tomorrows race will either have to be postponed or cancelled as both Ford and myself had things come up and neither can host unless one of you can organize it yourself?

You've got this series looking pretty good JL, if you LET us all pick and chose different variables, then we are gonna. Just tell us how it is and nobody's gonna complain. As far as tomorrow, well, so far my attendance has been sketchy, but provided I can be online at the designated time, I'll be happy to set up the race. I've got a few of our racers on my list, if you see me online, join in and I'll set it up.

Well, it looks like I'll be able to do it afterall. But. If anything comes up I will keep y'all posted.

If you havent already, add me im going to host since JL isnt on yet. If he does get on then he'll just have to put up with me being host :P

Well, pretty good racing today. As acting host, Ford made the decision to use RH tires, and I really liked them. I was able to push very hard without suddenly breaking loose, I think the RH would be good choice. With the exception of crazy-fast Agro, I felt like I was competitive with everyone. During the early laps, I was on Ford's tail pretty solid, and I actually found myself with a couple passing opportunities, though I didn't take them as the Camaro is easily beat in the straits. I could really close up in the turns, so patience will be the key with it. As long as I can stick behind a Stratos in the straits, I should be giving you guys a run for the money. The last half of the race was a very good battle between myself and Cahilldomination, I think we may have a series rivalry there! Good racing everyone.

Mudd,

your right about RH....they have amazing grip but can still break loose if you not careful. it almost seems that the lower the tire the better the camaro gets. Just hope we have over 10 guys when the actual season starts

Hey guys, sorry I didn't show. The internet/phones went down over the entire county yesterday.

Mudd...your Camaro is confused. It should, by rights, dominate on the straights, and then be horrible on the corners.

Thats exactly what's been throwing me off. I had been trying to drive it that way, but using a restrictor plate really changes it's attitude. I think I've got it figured out now.

damn, i missed the test yesterday didnt I.. completely slipped my mind

Sorry I missed it again. I'll make more of an effort to show up when the season starts.

Saturday afternoons in the summertime make it difficult to justify staying inside to play vidio games. We do have a good group of online racers that appreciate the gaming for what it is, I'm sure we are bound to have some great races in here, it's just a matter of luck that we all are able to free up the same afternoon to meet on the track at the same time. Keep with it guys, it's enjoyable to race in here regardless of the attendance numbers. 👍
