really sorry m8 but i thought that was the final in Div 5.. :guilty:

lets see what happens there then

Wish it were :D, now i've to run the intermediate event :ouch:

I sent a PM to DaddyVDUB but no reply yet :scared: dunno what this means, but i still have till the 26th.

Congratulation to all how participate in the event. I think everybody is a true champ, not only the people how cross the line first. I like the high level of sportsmanship. Im not a man of many words but I like to thank everybody.

An example of true sportsmanship goes out to GTP_gtbadboy. I had to race him in the first Skyline Coupe Tuned race on Daytona. I had really difficulty with tuning the car (I’m not a tuner) I told him that and he was so kind to send me his tune (I thought fair play is one but helping your opponent  ) he also told me his lap times. That was the one scarring me, cos he was 1,5 second faster than me. Is tune felt better than the one I created and with some minor adjustments, I managed to do the same lap time and that was 10 minutes before the start. To keep the story short I beat the man with his own tune. Thank you Ron for being so helpful 👍

And offcourse a BIG thanks to EDK and the people how helped him for this great event and putting so much of his own time. Really great 👍

And luck to the few how are left in the this event with your races. Enjoy and have fun.

Thank you and till the next event

Dennis

I'm sure one of them will be in to write about it later. But our D1 championship race took place this morning, with GTP_MeAgainstYou winning over GTP_Racer_LP.

It was a great race, that came down to the wire. Well done to both of you. 👍

GTP_MeAgainstYou VS GTP_Racer_LP

my vision:

after 2 attempts with some punters on the way.. we made it at the 3rd race.

important factor: i was with R1/R2 and Stijn R3.

we started with me on the pole and 1lap i pitted and crash... made a 360º spin.. and thought thats it i lost.. what an ass.. :ouch: Stijn made his 1st pit on lap 2 and i was +/- 6 seconds behind.. OMG! :( then he made the 2nd pit and came out in front of me ofcourse... but i was able to catch him because my setup was giving me 1'47 high and Stijn setup was giving him 1'48. anyway.. i realise that with this situation i'll never get him behind because he will catch me on the interior part and use the slipstream on the straights .. and i had a pit to do :ouch: so.. i decide to pit asap.. made that and... crash again :banghead: oh my oh my... he was almost 4 seconds ahead now

then we had all the track for us .. so we could watch the gap :) i was catching him lap after lap +/-0.5 seconds per lap and thinking im gonna catch him and maybe i could win with my top speed.. but in the last 2 laps the gap stalled at 1.5.. and wasnt able to catch the slipstream ... the pressure rose on me.. :nervous: but not only on me because Stijn lost it on the last lap at turn 1.. i passed him and was 2.5 seconds ahead... :dopey: what a race.. my heart was ready to blow  i thought keep it cool now.. the race is mine!.. the bus stop was up ahead.. i made it slowly to avoid mistakes... and Stijn, ofcourse, was coming with his 512bb on the limit and lost it again on the bus stop..

thats it, i won, but anyone could have done it 👍

Thanks for the hot race Stijn... due my pit mistakes.. this was the hardst for me, i was running on the limit to catch you... :scared:

Great write up, Bruno. Was a great race, with you doing everything you could to close the gap and me doing the same to keep you as far behind as possible :). But of course one of us had to win and in the end the fastest of us won it.

Thanks for the awesome race, mate. I really enjoyed it

Two excellent racers, an excellent race, a worthy champion 👍

All the best
Maz

thanks for the kind words

lets see qhat happens for the champion of div5... and have more fun :)

Great write up, congratulations MAY and also Racer_LP for what was clearly an exciting, nerve wrecking but in the end a great race! 👍

well done MAY...must have been a tense race...:scared:...lol.

👍👍👍

spyrrari.

thanks m8... yes it was tense

lucky him because i lost it in both pits.. and lucky me because he lost it in the end... thats racing 👍

Congratulations to all div champs!! ...and good job MAY taking the cake in d1 👍 👍

hey guys how its gonna be? i am able to race from this weekend to the next weekend... almost anytime! just say a date... im in holidays :P

Kevin can we change a bit the rules? the starting grid could be the other way around:

1st - div5
2nd - div4
3rd - div3
4th - div2
5th - div1

i think this will give us more fun no?

My driving window is usually evenings from 1030gmt onwards, but I don't know how that fits our Australian hero.

About the starting positions, perhaps Kevin could make alternating orders between races. On the other hand, MAY,s proposition would do justice to the Division level differences.

I'd prefer to race sometime from 10th to 12th of april. because I'm able to race anytime these 3 days but particularly because I'm moving in the next few days and I want to make sure everything is working ok in the new place.

I think too, that reverse division ranking would be a appropriate starting grid.

Well, if D1 and D2 say reverse order, then reverse order it is. I was just thinking of it as, if you qualify on the pole, do you start last? :dopey:

I'll update the race details when I get a chance, but don;t have time at the moment.

As for timing, some of my motivation for extending it to the 12th was due to the fact that I'm tied up this weekend. So if there's any way you guys can arrange it for the following weekend, I should be able to attend the races, provided they don't take place while I'm in bed. :sly:

A bit late, but heres my results table up to date...Will make a special points table added to this one for the ultimate champion....All the best to all division champions, and may the best man win...:)👍

Thanks a big bunch to steward EDK for all his work in this championship, and a small bunch to Dave for his bookkeeping 👍

I'd be very happy if reverse start order were applied, as will the Div5 champion too. To the Div3 champ I guess it wouldn't make too much of a difference :D

Not that it matters much (to Kevin) but your post in the final round thread contains some 1:1 text (both drivers, driver pairings) that should be extended to bigger-crowd racing. Also, there is a reference to pit-stopping that doesn't apply to this race, or does it?
It also says that vehicle specifics depend on divisions but they do not for the final round.

Just my €0.02

Well, I tried to fix all of that, but I was a bit tight on time. And with the Firefox Update, and the PS# software update, time got even tighter. So I did not triple check my work, but I'm sure you guys understand the idea. :dopey:

Me too. Let's do 2230 gmt on Saturday 11th which'll be somewhere early afternoon in Aussie country :) Second and third race right following or, if unsuccesfull meeting online, the following day.

Please all reply and make sure to be online a bit before that if ok 👍
