DQ!!!! :indiff:

Kevin, we had the time set before the dead line, but as i said in my msg i had to postpone the race, I already told Bryan incase it's not gonna work that we delay the race, I declare him the winner, if my delay will cause that both of us are DQd, then Bryan should be qualified coz he was ready to race on the 1st date we set

GTP_MobySPD vs GTP_Marooned

We started from the pit lane (DR) 40 sec wait and we hit the gas, Bryan took the lead on the 1st curve, i managed to catch up by the 2nd which he faced some wheel spin and left me the inside, he was very respectful every time we were in action in any off the curves, i took the lead after the 2nd curve and started building up through the infield, had the lead after the bus-stop which made me take my 1st pit stop, Bryan took the lead for the 2nd lap and he was way too fast I managed to catch up at the exit of his 1st pit-stop, again i took the lead in the 3rd lap till the end of the infield section, then it was the slip stream, he managed to pass me before we enter the bus-stop, but lost some time (wheel spin) exiting the bus-stop and i took the lead before the pit-lane, so i decided to take my 2nd pit-stop, he managed to catch up quickely and go before the left hander of the pit, i was doing a 100Km/h by that point and tried to break down to 60 to be able to turn and it happened, the right rear tyre in the grass, the car did a 360 but i managed to recover it with one word shouting to my self, (YOU LOST) but then the miracle happened, Bryan had a bad wheel spin on the 1st right hander which made him loose time and me to catch up quickely but i couldn't manage to pass though, I tried to keep up the pace but he was too fast...he went for his 2nd pit coz he had a big lead i guess it was about .7xx but he faced some problems where i had my 360 , so Lap 5 Bryan coming out of the pit, I'm pushing hard out of the 1st left hander, I managed to take the lead with Bryan on my back, but the wheel spin is a killer, he lost some time again on the right hander and i started building up through the infield again, 6 clean laps for both of us till the end of the race with .1xx to .3xx difference.

That was one of my best races ever, Bryan was so consistant on taking the lead which made me do a couple of mistakes and mis-shifts.

Bryan, Thanks for the adrenaline rush and the high heart beats :dopey:, it was nice racing you and wish to race you again soon.

Kevin,

As i said, if my delay will make both off us DQd then I declare Bryan the winner

Marooned

Marooned - I mis-placed your PM stating you had a delay, so I thought I had nothing from either of you regarding that week's race and I DQ'd both of you when doing the results.

I'm giving you both a one time bye for the prior week, since you did make me aware in advance.

You'll be paired with GTP_DaddyVDUB this week. Your race must be completed before March 26th. I'll also send you a PM. 👍

👍 to EDK,

Would be hard to DQ marooned for a deserved win. Could have gone the easy route. But I wanna race, so postponing was the best we could do.
Sorry if we mixed up the schedule, must be a hard task to keep this event going on without too much delays.
Shame i'm off in my first race, but that's life, you win some, you loose some.
Should have sticked with the R1-R1 setup, but choose S3-S3 for tactical reasons. In the end this backfired against me and Marooned could take a deserved win

Regards

Bryan

I'm pleased to announce that we have a Division 3 Gold Champion.

Congratulations to GTP_Aussienicko! 👍

Pairings have been updated accordingly.

I'm counting your race result, since I gave you a bye, rather than the DQ, for the prior week.

So, you are still in, paired with DaddyVDUB. Just sent both of you a PM as well.

Division 3 Championship - Final

GTP_Ausnicko9 vs GTP_Animera

We knew from the start that this was going to be a tough race and we have raced each other a lot and there is always very little between us. The divisional final proved to be exactly the same.

We formed on the grid at our agreed time, with only the 2 of us in the race so we both knew that this was it. No outside influences, just head to head racing. Ausnicko started from P1 and led into T1 with me right on his heels right through lap 1 with Ausnicko diving into the pits at the end of the lap.

This gave me a 2.6s lead and after a pretty good lap 2 I dived into the pits and exited with Ausnicko on my bumper. At the end of lap 3 I was leading and so I did my 2nd pitstop, giving Ausnicko the lead again. At the end of lap 4 he pitted and came out just in front of me and it was a race to the end.

For the rest of the race we traded places only down the straights and already then I knew that the winner was going to be the one in 2nd place coming out of the final lap busstop. As fate would have it, that 2nd place was Ausnicko's and I knew that I would have to do a phenomenal exit out of the busstop to try keep ahead to the finish line.

Down to the final busstop we were head to tail, and although I got a good drive out of it, Ausnicko was so close behind me that he had the draft. Halfway down the straight he pulled out to the inside to pass, and I slowed slightly, hoping to get back into his draft, which I did. I pulled out to the outside and started passing Ausnicko but the finish line came too soon and Ausnicko won it by 0.030.

Thanks Ausnicko for an incredible race.
Well done and good luck with the rest of the competition.
You're a worthy Division 3 champion.

Thanks to Kevin for a great competition. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next one. 👍

What an absolutely thrilling and extremely close race! I thoroughly enjoyed it and gained a lot of experience whilst racing.

A big  to EDK for organising such a fantastic and exciting event, as well as Animera for a close race - it was truly a head-to-head battle.

Congrats Ausnicko and better luck next time Animera.

P.s why didn't you stay in second place, Animera till the busstop of the last lap?

Congrats AUSnicko9.👍 Bad luck Animera, I knew it was going to be close. All the practice races between us 3 were close, so this race being close was no surprise.

Pit Stop Tactics

I’m wondering why a lot of you guys pit twice in the first 4 or 5 laps. I read almost all the race story’s or watch the video’s. And I see it happening a lot.

Why not using them in a more tactical way?

Considering the lap times in between you and your opponent. It can help a lot. And as long we are racing in public area’s you can anticipate on traffic as well.

Well done guys, no mistakes, clean racing, and from my race with Aussienicko last night I know the pace must have been very hot.

Well done to both of you and especially the champion 👍 Congratulations on being the first Divisional champion crowned in Event 02

All the best
Maz

GTP_Hyperspeed vs GTP_Racer_LP

We joined the race together 1st time, lined up in the pits, 40 secs came and we were off, then Stijn got Disconnected. :yuck:

So we joined again, Stijn was hosting and only one other car in the grid. Nice I was thinking. :) We lined up and got away with no problems, Stijn leads into turn 1 and im not too far behind him untill we reach the Bus Stop, I really made a mess of it there on lap 1 and he gets away from me a bit. I cant remember exactly when the pits took place, but I know I got the rear tyre on the grass and spun on my second pit. :dunce: Stijn got a bit held up at some point by the R8, but still it didnt matter as I was way back by then and also binned it in the Bus Stop on lap 10. :dopey:

Congrats Stijn, you ran a great race mate. Good luck in you next race. 👍

Thanks mate, I'll need alot of luck in the next race 👍

About the pits: You pitted on lap 1, I pitted on lap 3 for the first time. When I came out I had a comfortable lead, about 3 seconds. Then we kept closing in on the R8 and by lap 6 I was close enough to take his slipstream.
Before the race we agreed not to slipstream other cars, so I did everything I could to avoid being in his slip. On lap 7 the R8 slowed me down massively and by the end of the lap the 3 of us were together again.
I was thinking 'no, this can't be happening' and pitted to get away from the R8. When I came out of the pits you were in front with the R8 still between us. Luckaly he went off at turn 4 so it was just you and me again. Then you pitted at the end of lap 8, giving me my 3 second gap back. After that I just made sure I didn't go off anymore, but still going fast enough to stay in front.

You ran a great race 2, mate. It's very difficult to keep the car on the road for 10 laps. I was lucky you made a couple of mistakes so I could take it easy a little bit and make sure I didn't go off.

Division 4 silver vs. bronze/GTP_Liston vs. GTP_Bigracer

This afternoon Mike and I had our races.
First race he made a small error in the 3rd lap costing him a penalty, so I won.
Second race, some drafting and competitive racing, he won.
Third race (still trembling hands while writing :D) I kept the lead tho not by much and was saved by the ticking clock of the ending race.

GTP_Liston 1 - GTP_Bigracer 2

Thanks Mike for some thrilling racing and sorry for that slight love hug I gave you out there.
