Promotions and demotions is normally a tricky thing. That's the main reason I prefer qualifying on an event-by-event basis. So, I'm fast in Formula GT, Aussie V8 and ITCC cars - that doesn't mean I'll be fast in Audi R8 LMS.

Promotions and demotions work really well if there are enough people to balance it out, so that it's like a tenth or two between the entire field... But if you've got like 30 people, the gap between one division and another might be large depending on cars.

That's why I'm glad that demotions won't happen much. If someone asks me to drive the R8 LMS, I'm not doing that - so I don't spin and ruin someone else's race in the process.

We're happy that you're happy, of course.

We had one demotion that I remember in GT5 and as I said, its not something done lightly and will always be by request only. Promotions are common place as people improve and gain confidence. WRS is, or should be, known for the mantra "Community first, competition second" We're here to race but also to help people improve if they have a need and/or desire to.

The handicap system, like any statistical analysis, is only as good as the data set it draws from, so of course the more people run, the more accurate it will be.

Also to add a little to what @Vagabond said, online races are separate from the Time Trials and have no effect on handicap. Our official online races will have the results tallied but that's just for fun(some people like statistics:D).

Finally submitted my replays, I'm quite happy with Brands Hatch, however I struggled with Willow Springs. Thanks to all the admin crew who have set up the WRS qualifier and look forward to competing with all you enthusiastic racers. Big thanks to Oink for his step by step guide to the GT6 WRS qualifier.

Also remember @ITCC_Andrew that these are weekly time trials, so qualification isn't really a thing, it's a slightly different system to an online racing system. Also as I think has been said on the previous page, threat of relegation could dissuade participants from submitting what they might consider a sub-par lap, or from participating at all from a combo they don't think they can perform well in. Generally speaking, it serves everyone well to use an "only go up" system :)

It appears our admin team is an effective team :) and we are way ahead of where we expected to be. Our goodly statistician, @Vaxen, has said that with luck, all things being well, he will have initial provisional division placements ready at some point tonight, within a few hours of the deadline. There will inevitably be some entries that have not been officially verified, hence provisional... but the fact we can announce anything at all within such a short time is nothing less than amazing.

A big warm round of applause for the admin team that have helped in this endeavour and their on-going efforts and dedication:

@Vagabond

Although its been mentioned already, I want to once again acknowledge the amazing effort by @JoostBaksteen for his work on the WRSFetchBot, without which it would've been impossible to be as far ahead as we are with processing submissions. Thanks, mate.

Even though this is my first league, I'm super impressed with the professionalism and organization of this place. It's definitely way more than I was expecting.
Props to all of you!

Could have probably went faster at BH if I had the patience to restart 100 times before every clean lap :P left a bit at Willow also but happier with this lap, Times and replays submitted... Good Luck to all 👍

Thanks to the Staff for all the upcoming verifying hours in advance

This is nothing short of remarkable guys.

"Up to 4 weeks" was originally said, then "7-10 days" and now tonight, before the deadline. Wow, this is so exciting!

Each track i had 2 corners i just couldnt get right, and 2 corners i cod get bang on each time. Annoying no matter which angle speed and cars body roll, it would spin or go dirty.

I'm guessing, given the statement earlier, that all submitted laps (at that time) were verified as clean, mine are also?

Very glad I played it safe for the qualifier, leaving at least a few inches more in the safe zone. I almost lost my fastest lap at Brands Hatch in one of the very last corners because of trailbraking twitch, but managed to save it. :)

My qualifier is submitted and accepted. Not sure what to think about my lap as it's always hard to know without splits to compare to. I definitely didn't spend as much time on this as GT5's qualifier but that is the reality of life nowadays. Good luck to everyone and thanks again for the hardwork admins.

I got another hour and a half put into Brands last night to add to the 10 laps I had done previously...Think there was still plenty of time to be found though :nervous: But I guess it's about right because my seat time is going to be a bit limited this year :(
Times are submitted and accepted :) Just waiting now to see how many divisions I drop compared to GT5

 to all the GTP WRS admin and good luck everyone :gtpflag:
