Swing and a miss.....registration failed. Can someone PM and let me know what I missed? Thanks.
I just got wind of these qualifiers...which ends soon. Should I try to submit times tomorrow morning or wait for the next qualifier? and when will that be?
As far as I understand it, once this qualifier is closed, there will be a short break (a few weeks) then qualifying is opened again. I think it is an ongoing thing so you can qualify at any time but, in terms of the divisions, you will be behind the others who submitted to the initial qualifier (like a Nascar driver who joins, say in Round 5 of the Championship...the other drivers already have points so he would be playing catch up).

There are no points and nobody will be behind in terms of division if they miss the initial cutoff. He will miss the first couple time trials due to not being listed in the registry yet, but he can use that time to put proper effort into the qualifier. On the other hand, if he rushes the qualifier and ends up in the wrong division that can take many weeks to correct until promotions are processed.
So if you are starting now, forget the initial deadline. It's best to take your time, do a good lap, check your replays carefully and then be ready to submit when we re-open.
Okay, apologies for telling him the wrong thing. I just assumed that you would get points for finishing in races, position in time trials etc and that would determine where you finish in the division.....clearly I have completely missed how the WRS works. Apologies again
If you compete in a time trial and do well (above your current handicap) you can improve your handicap and eventually get promoted to a higher division if you do well consistently. And you do compete against other drivers in your division so you didn't get it all wrong. Just that there is no real cost relative to other competitors when missing a week or two, well except the opportunity lost to compete and potentially improve your handicap a bit. At least for the time being, there is no point system. The online races are similar... for the most part they are all individual events. We do track wins and podiums over time for fun, but you don't fall behind in any standings missing a week or two.
I'm not sure that running laps at Bathurst will help your qualifier time Oink.Just spend a couple hours on Bathurst. Got a time that I'm happy with, but at the same time I know there are a few more tenths out there, just to put that lap together is killing me, so in the interests of mental health, I have stopped there. Might head out to Willow one more time this evening before submitting.
Oh I meant Brands. Both have a B and an A in it so it's all the same to meI'm not sure that running laps at Bathurst will help your qualifier time Oink.
We've been doing it on the fly since the first submissions started to roll in. Obviously final division placement and handicap calculation will be done once the deadline has passed but most of the work is in processing and verifying replays and as it stands, we are fully up to date with the submissions we've had so far.... So it will most likely be less than a week until we announce the initial division placements. So, when the deadline is reached, that means that all admins are going to begin compiling the lists and putting people in divisions, and within seven-ten days this round will all be sorted?
Now is the exciting/worrying wait
Did you upload your 2 replays in separate zip files to the message? Is FetchBot ok? Submitted but it's telling me there's no GT Data could be found.
Now I'm worrying about putting off submitting til the last day just so I could try shaving a few more tenths last night
Yes. Followed the instructions precisely, I thought.Did you upload your 2 replays in separate zip files to the message?
Will have to let an admin figure it out then sorry, I don't know what might have happenedYes. Followed the instructions precisely, I thought.
